  • In this video we will be talking about how to think clearly from the wisdom of Marcus Aurelius. Marcus Aurelius was a devout student of the philosophy of Stoicism and constructed a series of autobiographical writings, now known as the Meditations.
So here are 5 ways to think clearly from Marcus Aurelius-
    01. Train Your Perception
    02. Learn To Control Your Emotions
    03. Exercise The Dichotomy Of Control
    04. Keep Virtues In Mind
    05. Always Consider The Big Picture
I hope you enjoyed watching the video and hope you find these insights form Marcus Aurelius will help you in thinking clearly.
Even though Marcus Aurelius wrote it 2,000 years ago - his insights on Stoicism still carry strong weight today. Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium in Athens in the early 3rd century BC. Even though it is over 2000 years old, more and more people are discovering how Stoicism is not only relevant to modern times, but can be applied in very simple, yet strong ways.

First you need to judge which person is right for your kids, and in order to make a good choice you’ll need a modicum of discrimination.

With knowledge comes power, with power comes responsibility. For when good men that fail to act is when evil prevails. If you are reading thus, it is a sign that you are a good man. Sometimes we lose direction, but all roads lead to Rome when your end goal is set in stone. A problem I see with most men is lack or direction. I've always just wanted to die happy, the way I will do this is knowing that I never gave up on myself, only on those that had given up on themselves. Great men and women lead by example, live your best life and you will show others the wisdom they need through your own happiness. Be happy kings and queens, with little and alot. God bless 🙌

As an Abuser, whenever any of my victims call me out for being abusive, I link them this video and hopefully that sends them down the stoic pipeline of learning to accept my abusive behavior. "Do not judge everything based on emotion", I'll remind them when they are rightfully upset at me. "Train your perception" is a doozy I also pull out when they start trying to point to specific instances of me being a "bad guy". "Always consider the bigger picture!" or "Doncha think you should try taking a cosmic perspective?" I will condescendingly remark.

Luckily I learned to think this way in Kindergarten. My father always had to work late and I was the last one to get picked up. While no one was around anymore and I didn't really know what to do, I liked to just sit there, watch the birds, play with leaves and think "Maaaaan. It's not boring like other kids would say. I just am now. And that's crazy enough!"
Do you know what I mean? To just be is kinda awkward. But you have to be, because you can't be. Therefore you can't think when you aren't so as a consequence you just can think that you are here now and exist. I'm not good with words so I can't explain what I mean concisely. But I wanted to say that from now on, your life or a moment can never be boring again. Because you're in a vast place and you can do everything you can do

You are correct if you stop and respect yourself to analyze and not cloud your judgement .when you explain yourself your already on a losing path.im glad stoicism found me in a low point of my life. I noticed that ive become calmer and managing the goals i set myself on the everyday is easier done

Getting rid of judgement has single handedly been one of, if not the most impactful component which has helped me to significantly reduce my self induced stress, and start getting over depression.
Eventually you will look at things objectively, try to learn from your past, and choose to see things through an optimistic lens. With this approach you can open new doors to exciting things which once bored you, and shut old doors that once made you feel trapt.
This one simple thing can really change one's life. I'm happy to say that I actually feel like I'm finding my way now. 😌
One other huge thing that I overlooked which is really helping as well is forming a reading habit! Instead of being passive all the time by watching tv or playing videogames, set aside a bit more time each day to actively engage your brain by reading and/or trying to learn new skills!

Positive learning should be created through re-enforcement or by applauding a student that perform very well. Your thoughts shape your actions and perceptions. And those shape your life.
There's nothing to do or gain to change how you (consciously or unconsciously) think about the world. You may distract your mind with material gains or romantic relationships and personal aspirations. But it does not change the fundamental truth that what you think manifests what's real to you.
There is no right way to go through life. It's merely a question of wether you're going through life consciously or unconsciously.
