I played against Zain's Roy as Ice Climbers on Slippi. I remember how excited I was to play against him and it was hilarious to see how bad I was.
The next day I found his VOD on Twitch and somehow found my match against him in the 6+ hour long video. I said to my friends, " Guys, watch this shit!" Within 10 seconds Zain said, "What the hell is this guy doing" and I shut the VOD off as my friends and I all laughed about it.

I still find it wildly ironic how in Ultimate,Roy's a top-tier and Marth is the low-tier. 😂 It all came around full-circle.
In 20XX a skilled Roy has put every Marth to shame proving that Marth was actually the low tier all along
Marth is mid tier. High tier if you know what you're doing.

Ironically my brother makes me fight for it when I play peach and he plays Roy. He completely nullifies any float combos I throw at him and I really have to work to capitalize on his mistakes. Ganondorf and capt falcons air grab also has this problem.

KJH is a good friend of mine from when i use to play Yugioh and he would always tell us he was gonna be a professional Melee player and he made that come true. Ill always root for my boy!
What decks/formats would he play?
@radicalsprites He was a Glad Beast purist, only deck he would ever touch. Stopped playing shortly after Synchros but came back for like a month when Rabbit/Wind-Ups/Inzektors were top decks. He didn't like the format for Glads, so he left again.
At our local card shop, Collectible Investments, there was a Melee set up for entertainment, and he was on that all day. lol he would always say he was gonna go professional, We were like, "Sure, lol
@radicalsprites to be more precise I think he came back when that card, A Hero Lives, was released as you could, activate, special summon Elemental Hero Prisma, dump Beastiary/Liquary, and make a fusion first turn. He wanted to try it and see if it would speed up Glads

5:20 confuses me. As long as I’ve played the Bible against low tiers is the lame them out and not let them play the game. Trying to just run them over and establish dominance as the better character is exactly how you lose
I think it’s different ways of expressing the same thing. abuse low tiers not having approach options / make them commit heavily to approach or abuse their shit frame data or their few and therefore predictable options.
if you give too much respect to a low tier you’re not properly abusing their weaknesses, but one of their weaknesses could be not being able to cope with being lame.
