I was there in the audience that night - it was amazing! I was just about getting used to the fact I was watching the absolute Legend that is Barry Manilow perform....then suddenly the boys appeared at the top of the stairs and I just lost it (and as you can hear, so did the whole audience too)! Baz + Gaz + Rob = fangirling of EPIC proportions! I was one very happy bunny that night! ;)

I just covered them on youtube a couple years ago and I really love this group. James corden had a late night show which I loved. I didn't stay up there often but one night I was rewarded with seeing them as guests on his show I think they did carpool karaoke which was one of my favorite bits. I've heard the lot of people don't like him for whatever reason People seem to need somebody to dump on. I really don't need to know all these things about people. In any case I really believe that he had them on and I enjoyed it so much. I know very few people who are familiar with them. But if I get a chance I always tell people they should check them out. They are very talented and they have a great sense of humor.

I have watched this video a dozen times in the last 6 months!! I have been a fan of Barry Manilow's since 1976, I believe. When I saw this video, I fell in love with Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams performance...ok, I fell in love with them. Anyway, I have done a LOT of research since then.
Robbie, Robbie, Robbie....his smile makes me smile as he is so charming. Gary looks dapper & Barry Manilow has a voice that just seems to come out effortlessly. This was fun to watch.

I grew up in the 80s hearing the Manilow version first, but I was a little kid so I never paid attention to the emotional depth of the song, it was just a tune in the background of my life. So as a teen in the 90s, I heard the Take That version and was just very aware that it was a remake (I'd never heard the Donna Summers disco version, that says a lot about what my parents were listening to lol). Being in my 30s now, the Manilow version is just pulling tears out my eyes, but the Take That version brings back fun, happy memories. The Tony Orlando version is also good; and I think that's the mark of an well-written song: it works in any genre you play it in.
