he said he hasn't had a drink in 19 years. He said later in the interview that he hasn't been completely sober since rehab. he had a bout with prescription meds later in the 2000's.
I love how Elton has helped so many people kick the habit and stay sober ❤.. Also love how Robbie is comfortable in his own skin 😊 A true gem of a human being that's articulated so many emotions through music 💎
Good morning Robbie. I'm glad for you. It's a much better life you wake up sober in the morning. I walked the road of alcohol and I also made a decision...I want to be sober. Today I'm living a sober life and I'm so grateful for that. Life is beautiful when you are sober. Hendrik Venter from Pretoria South-Africa.
I love the way Robbie reinvents himself. He hs been up and down, sober and not so much, controlled and out there but he comes back to being Robbie. It has given him a perspective on life which i hope he can pass on to his kids.
So much respect for someone who can confront the demons and come through and be honest about needing help. So many people live stable lives and, quite rightly, focus on family and work and never see the highs & lows that some of us have been through. At 66 years of age, I feel like I have lived 3 separate adult lives and the people around me today know almost nothing of what came before. I was never lost like Robbie but I prefer not to share my past. Instead I hide behind funny stories that are true but which hide so much. One life, live it well. Choose love not hate, be a friend not an enemy and squeeze every ounce of fun from every day. None of us know what tomorrow will bring.
Holy shit I didnt realise it had been 19 years since he last had a drink. Im so proud of him. Also Ayda had alot to do with it, as well as Elton. I also love how Elton is like the sober big brother helping so many people to get sober. I also didnt realise he was sober at Knebworth either.
These 2 both had hard partying alcohol problems. Things they could be loved & hated for. Am so pleased they have found their best sober lives. I have given up booze for medical reasons & realised for mental health i shuda done it sooner! Each to their own of course 🎉I binge watched the Netflix series & it moved me, feel i know Robbie a lil bit better 😌
Never heard of him until the Netflix special and I am the same age! I did hear his big 3 songs back in the 90’s but he never toured here so out of mind. I’d go to London or Brisbane now to see him!
I never expected Robbie to make 40, I always said to my wife that he was a tormented soul on a path of destruction. To see him now so well balanced and happy is great, I have never been more pleased to be wrong 😊.
Just saw the doc, really happy for him he's more content and appreciates his blessings. Also, since I'm not too familiar, I watched a few live performances. He's phenomenal! Wow! Also that Angel song is beautiful!
I never liked the guy...obvisouly judging him on the way he presented himself when he was all over the TV, but the recent documentary of him had me in tears, it's amazing how our opinions are formed of folk when we think we've seen the entire person through media
I havnt seen the doco but I saw him on TrueGeordies podcast and completely changed my opinion of him, I thought he was a feminine soppy pop singer only to find out that he is an absolute lad who just loved drinking, drugs and sex addiction which ultimately ruined his life and is something we have all either been through ourselves or have witnessed a loved one go through....then when he said his fav genre of music is rap I was sold 😂
I’m American but have always been more into UK pop/rock. Robbie has it all - seriously talented artist, smart as hell, charming and great looking. Never understood why he wasn’t able to break into the US market; at his peak in the late 90’s/early 00’s, he was one of the biggest names in British pop who released one quality hit single after another. I wasn’t aware he’d recently done a Netflix docuseries until reading some other comments. Glad he’s finally getting some recognition from the US.
It does him credit that he recorded 'Angels' while he was in the turmoil of addiction and that he delayed his rehab just for it That song probably saved his career, and the recording was excellent
I had never heard of Robbie Williams until I watched the Netflix docuseries on him. Am really surprised he never made it here in the USA, not for lack of trying. He has some really good songs!
His money is coming from: his looks, his songs which others have written, his addict over which he has won. Respect for this. I hope he can be humble. I love the performance espescially in the early years
Love ya Rob. Thanks for being vulnerable, you help a ton of ppl by being honest. Still love you in TT the most, I love seeing you in a brotherhood when you can allow yourself to accept love ❤
You are a good performer on stage! I love the song Angels! I am watching it November/ Autumn 2024 you were a party boy! Selffish Now you think about your children! I am watching it the Holidays are Approaching! ❤❤❤
Wow! Such a powerful story! It also speaks volumes about having resources match readiness and not the other way round! Sounds like money can buy you sobriety after all!
I guess he didnt need the reminder that "Jesus is the reason for the season" as he said "Praise the Lord" near the end. So good to see him happy with his family.
Robbie, yes he's up his own arse and a bighead. That said, I still really, reply like him. Seen him live twice and he can do it very well indeed, proper showman
Word. All of this seems just so fake and superficial. Ok, he went to rehab, end of the story. But they had to make entertainment out of it, right? So here's a goofy story that will certainly catch peoplecs attention. lol
Seeing someone put Liam Gallagher on his arse features very highly on my bucket list and Robbie Williams would be my favourite person to do the deed. Please, please someone make it happen. 🙏🙏
"Back in the day" I (sorry to name-drop here) took care of Oasis after a concert in Kobe, japan and it was right around the time that the first "round" of this Robbie v Liam thing was going on. I asked him what it was all about and he said that there'd been an "offer of 250,000 quid, but I'd smash his face in for nothing". Quite a unique memory! It's still going on, is it?!
I couldn't be happier for this man. He's gone through so much and has come out the other side. So many don't make it. So proud ❤
I near choked on my whiskey when he said he's been sober for 19 years!! Fair play Robbie 🙌🏻
In other circumstances that worth celebrating with some 🥂
he said he hasn't had a drink in 19 years. He said later in the interview that he hasn't been completely sober since rehab. he had a bout with prescription meds later in the 2000's.
This is the type of Robbie I like, relaxed, funny, sober
I love the pub game idea
I love how Elton has helped so many people kick the habit and stay sober ❤.. Also love how Robbie is comfortable in his own skin 😊 A true gem of a human being that's articulated so many emotions through music 💎
But Robbie stayed the night at Elton's wink wink
Eminem says similar things about Elton. I don't like the fell's work NOW but he clearly cares for others he likes in the industry
he seems to be content with his life..wife and children...his honesty is refreshing
I just love his honesty. I am so happy that he is happy and living his best life. I think he is really talented and also lovely.
Good morning Robbie.

Congratulations on your sobriety, proud of you! Robbie has a beautiful voice. Keep going your great!
one of the most honest people around. Fair play to him
I think so too. That's very rare.
So much respect for someone who can confront the demons and come through and be honest about needing help.

You don't realise much do you?
Yes give him a good hiding Robbie.
I am so proud of Robbie. What he went through and where he is now. It is amazing.
I am glad he is finally happy in his life.❤
is he though? How do we know?
We don't

Makes you love Elton John even more! What a gift to society both of them. 👍🏾🎼
Thank you Elton ❤ for saving another precious person from all that!!!!
wish him all the love and support he needs, what a men.
Didn't know that about Elton..omg he really saved you !!!! I now have much more respect for Elton after hearing this. 🙏🙏
after they did lines of coke and slept together hahaha
Robbie all grown up!!, so glad he got the happy life he deserved.
I just watched his concert on Netflix, his voice has been in my head for days ❤
Taylor 's Angels duet with him. TH-cam 👍
Angels is the most earworm song!!! Love it!
Sobriety can be an ever treacherous road to navigate, but if you take it a day at a time and not get ahead of ourselves it works. Good on ya robbie
Wishing him continued sobriety and good health. ❤
This guy tells the best stories of any celebrity 👏🏻
I’m so proud of him. God bless him!!
God id just an idea. YOU bless him, thank you √
Never heard of him until the Netflix special and I am the same age! I did hear his big 3 songs back in the 90’s but he never toured here so out of mind. I’d go to London or Brisbane now to see him!
Its good to see someone come through those dark times, not all of them make it unfotunately.
I never expected Robbie to make 40, I always said to my wife that he was a tormented soul on a path of destruction. To see him now so well balanced and happy is great, I have never been more pleased to be wrong 😊.
Hi
Just saw the doc, really happy for him he's more content and appreciates his blessings. Also, since I'm not too familiar, I watched a few live performances. He's phenomenal! Wow! Also that Angel song is beautiful!
I love the care from Sir John, also also Robbie's way of narration.
I have loved Robbie from the states since 1999..he always had this sincerity even in rough times..so glad to see him happy.
I never liked the guy...obvisouly judging him on the way he presented himself when he was all over the TV, but the recent documentary of him had me in tears, it's amazing how our opinions are formed of folk when we think we've seen the entire person through media
I felt the same exact way
I havnt seen the doco but I saw him on TrueGeordies podcast and completely changed my opinion of him, I thought he was a feminine soppy pop singer only to find out that he is an absolute lad who just loved drinking, drugs and sex addiction which ultimately ruined his life and is something we have all either been through ourselves or have witnessed a loved one go through....then when he said his fav genre of music is rap I was sold 😂
@@kontrast4361 haha yes brother

no top lip though :(
George Michael was the first celebrity to offer RW help. Fact!
Just love Robbie Williams .. he is so talented and so pleased to see how happy he is today❤
Elton continues to be real one.
Good on Robbie for being sober this long, though. That's not an easy thing. I'm happy for him.
Everyone needs a friend like elton..helps so many....🤝
yes I always needed a friend like that but my "friends" just stabbed me in the back
🔮🤣🤣🤣🤣🎯🫱🏻🫲🏼
Robbie Williams is a national treasure!
Not international?
It does him credit that he recorded 'Angels' while he was in the turmoil of addiction and that he delayed his rehab just for it That song probably saved his career, and the recording was excellent
Have always loved Robbie
I like that he sings Angels now. For awhile he let the audience sing most of it.
He has a recording where the audience sings all of it.
Coolest dude,so proud of him
I had never heard of Robbie Williams until I watched the Netflix docuseries on him. Am really surprised he never made it here in the USA, not for lack of trying. He has some really good songs!
Never realised he wasn't big in USA. He's an international mega star selling 75,000,000 records worldwide
tbf he never really try since early 2000s
@@PickeringSamuelRobbie actually said few days ago in the Netflix car drive clip in TH-cam that it is more than that 😅 over 100 million now.
Did you lived under a rock?
Robbie has always been very famous
Always LOVED ROBBIE.....❤❤❤
Wow he looks really healthy and good for his age!
This was 5 years ago

I'd love to see him play James Bond, What a character.
His money is coming from: his looks, his songs which others have written, his addict over which he has won. Respect for this. I hope he can be humble. I love the performance espescially in the early years

Its amazing what getting older can do to a person.
Good to see Robbie again😘
Such an interesting and relevant interview. And am thinking....... he would be the perfect dinner guest!
Amo Robbie williams!
Fez parte da minha adolescência essas músicas maravilhosas!

Robbie is such a nice guy
Love ya Rob. Thanks for being vulnerable, you help a ton of ppl by being honest. Still love you in TT the most, I love seeing you in a brotherhood when you can allow yourself to accept love ❤
Robbie is fascinating. He tells it so straight.
love that he mentions stoke on Trent , where he is from, its where im from and im still there, home is where the heart is
Much respect to this man
Robbie has also helped someone to go to rehab, pay it forward like Elton helped him
Ele é único e autêntico! Deu a volta por cima e consegue ter um sucesso incrível. Jamais desista e seja feliz 👏🙏
Habrá cambiado? Esperemos que x sus hijos si cambie
He is truly STOKED !!
I loved his music in the 90's, but hated him lol. Now, he's perfection, someone who's grown 🩷
Very proud of your accomplishments.
You are a good performer on stage! I love the song Angels! I am watching it November/ Autumn 2024 you were a party boy! Selffish Now you think about your children! I am watching it the Holidays are Approaching! ❤❤❤
When on stage i try to be a singer , how TRUE,
For reference, the England vs Poland game was the 27th of March, 1999.
The last great entertainer. He's sang to us the best songs of our youth.
Wow! Such a powerful story! It also speaks volumes about having resources match readiness and not the other way round! Sounds like money can buy you sobriety after all!
I've always liked Robbie's music... especially the song Eternity
God bless Robbie Williams and his family. ❤️🙏💪
“You wanna box him in the ring”, PAHAHAHA, that comment’s got Mrs Merton’s cheekiness vibing all over it, God rest her soul!
I guess he didnt need the reminder that "Jesus is the reason for the season" as he said "Praise the Lord" near the end. So good to see him happy with his family.

Beautiful stroy and a Beautiful man, well done Robbie
Fantastic Robbie. well done. You've done amazingly.
One of The Best Singer On The Planet
There is redemption. I am a skeptic 🤨 but this story opened my mind a crack.
Thank God for Elton John, David Furnish & Robbie Williams XXX
It would be more accurate to thank their parents rather than thanking something that doesn't exist
Partying at Bono's house, calling round to Elton Johns house, he lives in a world none of us will ever experience yet we are supposed to sympathise.
Word. All of this seems just so fake and superficial. Ok, he went to rehab, end of the story. But they had to make entertainment out of it, right? So here's a goofy story that will certainly catch peoplecs attention. lol
There was a popular duet he did with Nicole Kidman covering a Frank and Nancy Sinatra song, “Something Stupid”
My big crush Robbie 🥰 Looks so good.
Beautiful window paintings 🎉😮
Groan! Another precious celebrity who did rehab.
Love him
Loved you so much in early 2000s in South Africa 🇿🇦👌👌👌🙏1:57am 6 July 2024
