Exactly what I thought. About 12 years ago I bought a nice LTD for about 900€. Still plays very nicely. Recently I went to JustMusic in my hometown of berlin, big store, loads of guitars. And I tried out the more affordable ones and was like... wait a second. This sounds really... really good ^^ Like, some may even be better than my LTD, and then I was sad :D Still love my LTD tho

Picked up the black and red Ibanez GRG131 a while back. Added locking tuners, polished the frets, and gave it a good setup. I gig with it regularly and much to my surprise I actually played a whole show with it over my PRS, strat, and LP recently. Cheap guitars are awesome now. Looking to get that Jackson Rhoads next!
Do you suggest it for a beginner? I’m thinking of getting my first guitar, and I’m looking to mainly play metal, and it has to be one of best looking ones I’ve seen that isn’t a ridiculous price
I use the JS32t and I put Dave Mustaine Live Wire pickups. I play upside down though, so knobs get in my way, but its so light, I can deal with awkward positioning. I love the feel of it.
I scored myself one of those Rhoads budget guitars on the cheap. It's pretty solid for a cheap guitar. It just took a but of setting up at the bridge was too low. Only complaint is that the pickups are a bit lacking on the high end. It makes pinch harmonics an effort without bulk reverb n vibrato.
Kramer Beretta Special. 1 slant-mounted humbucker. 1 volume knob. Tremolo (that I personally screw down to the body and forget about it like a hardtail). Fabulous 80s inspired colors. Simple and awesome straight out of the box, but also a great mod platform for the money. I added a tone pot and a kill switch to mine. It's by far the cheapest of my 8 guitars, and probably my favorite.
Fr tho. I just got mine literally today in the purple finish. I need to file the frets as they’re just a tiny bit sharp but this things nice. I plan to change the pickup and the pot. And maybe the nut and tuner
I have that same ibanez. Looks killer, plays pretty good. The pickups are so so. But with a good pedal it sounds great! Love ibanez. I have a couple Jackson's and shecter but nothing like an ibanez!!!! And great video!
Schecter- Personally they are great guitars, but I would build up to one and get the more expensive version, Start out - Ibanez/Squire/Epiphone - $200-500, when you move up a step look into modding these to better electronics+hardware Then jump - PRS SE 245/Custom 24 - $600-1000 Then American Fender/Gibson in the $1500 range Then, the ones you really really want, Schecter Banshee Mach-7, 7 string with Evertune From here you can do 2 things pick up a Morello strat MIM sig and mod the crap out of it for an HSH with splits 7 way mod, killswitch and Utopia pickups with a Floyd, or buy a 6 string Jem/PIA. You can also just Warmoth custom build the crap out of it using the carved soloist body.

These things feel like two blocks of wood nailed together if you are used to a pull through neck or a highly contoured bolt on. That was my biggest turn off about the Jackson Rhodes and the Squier Bullet looks to have that same issue. If you are used to guitar necks being somewhat flush with the body, you won't like many of these models.
you look like you are having a ton of fun playing those guitars
1:17 what song is this?
Mr Crowley Ozzy Osbourne
that Ibanez was just made for the Metal! Great vid but 100 watt EVH 5150 amp :)

Dagan, it's not the budget or the guitar; it's just that I suck at playing 😂
