- A maze game where the ghosts are the same, if their edible forms are changed. The maze is familiar, if a bit off in color. The prizes in the center are a bit different. Be careful, however : Pac-Man may eat a power pill and find that Blinky, who is right in front of the energizer for him to immediately eat, is still red, and now Pac-Man is dead. Also, you might want to try eating the ghostsafter eating the center prize. They'll return to their normal forms shortly after turning visible.
The game plays faster, with slight graphical changes like the maze color, and the monsters are more cross-eyed, and Pac-Man is slightly chubbier.
The power pellets do not always make all 4 monsters turn blue, sometimes one does not turn blue. The bonus items are different, and they make the monsters edible and dissapear. If you manage, you can get 400, 800, 1600, then 3200 points. After round 3, the maze may dissapear after eating a power pellet.
Note: Used invincibility cheat after down to my last life. The game is endless. - เกม

I saw this on the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore as a kid, and assumed these cabinets were bootleg units that had been hacked. Wasn't until FAR into the internet days that I learned it was in fact "legit". It seemed too weird, having the maze be "false" to be real.
Back in the day when this was first released, we remembered a cheat pattern we used from the ORIGINAL, it worked on PLUS and it worked on every board
I always call this "PAC-MAN Drugged" for some reason. Maybe cause of the leaves on the ghosts, the martini (or smoothie, idk) pacman drinks in stage 2, the ghosts are gone when eating a "fruit", and the stage is green.

The enclosure is almost identical to the classic Pac-Man yellow cabinet, but the marquee is replaced with a more modern Pac-Man image with arms and legs. It proclaims itself as being "EXCITING NEW".
When this game was played on an original arcade cabinet.... wouldn’t the effect of the maze going dark be offset eventually as the maze burned itself onto the screen?

Played this on a multicade at a Pizza Hut in Tennessee back in 2009 when I was younger. I don’t know if I’m alone in this case, but I actually prefer the plus version over the original release. Don’t get me wrong the original release is a classic but for some reason I’ve always liked the extra challenges of The disappearing mazes, some ghosts not turning blue, the green color of the maze, And the food items turning the ghosts invisible allowing you to score more points by eating them. There’s just been something about the extra challenge that added to it that makes me prefer this version slightly over the original.

Not to mention the fact that when you go to the Pancake level and complete it, there are no other foods left but Pancakes.

Okay, I DO remember this now...and this one did make it to the arcade room in midwest Illinois... Tinley Park "Number One Fun" and "Just For Fun"... I remember how the screen disappeared and I yelled "oh shit - what the HELL?" and everyone thought the game was failing/corrupted... and now I also remember one of the bonus foods is a Galaxian!!!! LOL
Why can't they make these games all on a CD ROM so you can play them on your computer? I'm sick of all the multiple (modern) game systems they have and the inconsistency of availability of popular old school games.

The eyes are closer together. They are closer by one pixel if you look closely compared to the 1980 Pac-Man

Pac-Man went full pancake. Never go full pancake.
You should have just used an infinite lives cheat instead if invulnerability cheat.
I like the invulnerability one more. Less starting and stopping. It saves time, as well as show the viewer hacking is going on, not making people wonder "how is the life counter resetting?".

How is the person able to turn off collisions?
Value hacking in emulators. Like, you search "3", get killed, "search "2", get killed, search "1", then lock it to like 255 or whatever number.

The games shown on this channel are arcade games. Arcade games were hard, meant to just make a person use quarters up, no matter how cheap the enemies were. So, decades later, you just value hack it in an emulator. That way, us lucky people get to finally see what was too hard to before.

Uhh no. Hit boxes were small. Notice how when you touch a ghost you don't really die until you hit the center? That was at play here.
