    Love the video dude. Detailed and nice. Personally for me it started and stopped workin. Last time I got a spark once just a small one, and then nothing. totally dead. took off starter and saw brushes was very bad, also contact point was as well. So now waiting for new start, and happy to see if jumping dont do anythin its the starter.
    as i get 12.9V to solenoid and starter when pressing start

    All I did with mine is only one thing I'd charged my battery up and it will let you start up first time and there no more buzzing sound from starter reley and its all bout low voltages and if has buzzing sound on reley its means to charged your battery up and after that it will let you start ya bike up first time and that's how I got my quad up running from battery to be fully charged then no hassle about getting new reley and hope this will helps you

    Finely got my quad back up running in good order and I thought didn't know you can tap the starter reley and its starts up nicely without any more buzzing noise and that's good without vibration of starter solenoids and now can start with push start button first then warm it riding for few minutes and turn off the bike and turn on everything then it will start

    I though I had a bad starter because I was getting a spinning sound. Though the starter wasn't meshing in. Or throwing out. Put on a new starter, still got a spinning sound. Took the starter off again put my finger in the hole and turned the flywheel both ways with my finger. Should this be? What's wrong with it?. ATV. 2008 arctic cat. 366 4x4. Needs help

    I'm having starting issues... I have two solenoids. One will make a buzzing sound, and one will make a clicking, but neither will start. I have a fully charged battery. I have jumped started the bike no problem before I started working on it. I'm not exactly sure what's causing it. So it's odd that one will buzz, which I think is the good solenoid, and the other will click, which I think is the bad one. I just bought this raptor, and it needs some work. Someone did kind of a hack job on it. Any idea what might be causing it? Maybe it's the wire that goes to the starter? Maybe the terminal needs to be cleaned up? Other than that I have no idea. Fuses are good as well.

      @hickforever1183 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      did you figure out what was wrong im having the same issue with my 400ex where i can Bump start the bike and the solenoid is making a buzzing sound when i jump it

    • @bobperley3689
      @bobperley3689 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It turned out that the person I bought it from hooked up the solenoid wrong to the starter motor. The wires were backwards. As soon as I did switched them it started right up. One solenoid, the new one was bad though. Old one was fine. If it's buzzing, the solenoid is still good, and it's a wire problem. It could be that your contacts on the wires might be dirty on the starter motor, or the ground wire. Clean them up, and make sure they're hooked up right. I just had to switch the wires on the solenoid, the wire from top of the starter motor should go to the solenoid and red wire to the positive side of the battery. Some reason the guy had the ground going to the solenoid instead and starter wire going to the frame. I don't think that'll be your problem though. I had to do alot of fixing and readjusting to my 660 raptor because of the last person just slapped it all together and had everything ass backwards or not even connected.

      Disconnect the negative cable from battery put a test light on neg term on battery and other end of test light on negative cable if light is on you have a draw start pulling fuses 1 at a time if light still on put fuse back in do next fuse when you pull the fuse and the light goes out that fuse is the circuit that is drawing power, then just have to follow wires for the circuit till find the problem can be a short, bad wire, loose or dirty connection. if it is a lcd issue or clock that is drawing the juice just put a battery cut off switch on the line, its a good idea for anti theft too, you may just have a bad rectifier regulator too

    • @danzurcher7331
      @danzurcher7331 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because you’re bypassing everything when you connect the two terminals with a screwdriver. The second part of your question sounds like a bad wire or connection from your battery to the starter solenoid, or a bad wire from the solenoid to the starter.
