    The Zen engine has always sounded good so a good UI for it is great , however the accelerometer and it’s gimmicks take up resources that could have been better spent on storage for more PCMs and Wavetables and or space for user sample and Wavetable data .

    Feel like an X-Y pad would have been better, along with a pitch wheel as opposed to the pitch buttons. The other gripe is the way you save stuff on there, a more simplified method would have been better. But apart from that it's pretty enjoyable to work with once you get into the groove of it.

    I just ordered this, should be here in a day and this video just makes me more excited. This looks like it's already heading the the hall of fame for synths. Great user interface, super deep despite looking simple, so well thought. But what's impressed even more is how incredible it sounds to me, its sonic quality seems as if it could rival the really expensive Sequential Circuits, Arturia, Novation, etcetera. It's going to be perfect combined with my Hydrasynths.

    Roland and Japanese brands in general are of exceptional quality. I have always been happy with them.
    I'm a guitarist, but I remember my Roland Micro Cube which was exceptional and at that time you could put batteries in it. It was very convenient to take it everywhere.

    I'm torn between a Elektron Digitone, Cycles, or this. Even used, I can't afford the Digitakt. I realize that no matter what I get, it's going to be a learning curve, for me. I have a Bass Station 2, but I need a Polysynth, too. I have a Keystep 37..I also just got a Drumbrute Impact, for drums, but I know I need some different drum sounds, as well. This world is almost too vast, for me to navigate, to get the simplest, most affordable set up, for me. I may have to just call Sweetwater..unfortunately, I can only afford most of these things, if I get them used.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, great question. I would say this has a moderate amount of menu-diving, but perhaps a little less than the Jupiter XM. There are many important functions in the menu related to sound design such as wave shaping, tuning, effects settings, sequencer settings, and routing. It would be best if you gave us a call so that we can determine if this is the best option for your specific needs or if something else would be better suited.

      It is quite distracting isn't it, but not really a new trend. I think one of the original reasons producers go for two angles is that it makes it less obvious there was a jump cut than if you stay on one camera and cut.. it's become a thing on youtube .. Reverb are also guilty of it as are many others.. I'd rather they switch to a gear view camera if they really need a less obvious jump cut.
