I do my name change at UTC, which has flexible hours so easier. Usually I do it with the seller himself so it's on the spot. But yes, he can go first, and buyer later. UTCs are more efficient in my view as its usually one hall with all available there: JPJ, insurance sellers, copying services 😜. JPJ offices tend to big and sprawling and third party services tend to be outside or further away. Also, UTCs open on weekends. I did one transfer on a Sunday.... Nice.

To make that perodua shift like a rolls Royce try a Uk police technique of sustained changing. Usually used when block shifting (though can be 4th to 3rd) you keep a steady accelerator (if you don’t it’ll free rev or drop RPM) and change as normal. The front end won’t dip and nor will the overall speed. It’s great for overtaking as a result as you don’t lose speed. Try it, it’s fun to nail as a shift technique.
You can do this in an auto to but I’m not sure how to as I’ve never owned an automatic.
