The sad thing is that the new generation can't even do this and they're 60 years younger. His generation was groomed to perform for a lifetime. The voice is gravely and weaker, but it's still there and pushing through. Much respect to the elders, cause we will be there if blessed to live as long. Remember, he outlived his sons and is singing their song. Wow! God bless him.

Man. When i see the ogs sitting down to perform its such a reminder that time is merciless. This man was such a powerhouse on stage. Glad he still gets to what he loves but its bittersweet right. I love anything Levert! RIP to Gerald and Sean.

I been noticing the arm too. I was wondering if he’s had a stroke, or something more than the Covid he had a few years ago. Even his voice isn’t the same. Still loving his music though. I’ll be praying for his health.

Losing sons can make ANYBODY age overnight. It's a miracle to push through, let alone perform. No one wants to be that strong in THE MOST HIGH, but this man seems to be such an awesome witness. 🙏🛐🙌

I tried to respond with the greatest amount of civility because in reality you stepping over a border of disrespect to a great man...in MY eyes. SORRY!
I'm sure life's tragedy has impacted him, but we must admit age is a factor also. I saw him perform this song in 2018. He moved and sounded different. It's glorious to live long yet recognize that every part of the body degrades as we age.

Its been almost 20yrs since Gerald passed away. Watching them 2 sing together as a father and son duet never gets old. Imagine having a son that looks and sounds just like you when he sings. Seeing Eddie sing Geralds songs is so moving

That could very well be true, but I've seen him perform 3xs since their tragic deaths & he was in pure form dancing & singing hard. Life is so beautiful but it can also be filled with sadness when you see an elder that was once youthful and spry begin the descent to becoming closer to that point in life where they decline to the point of being childlike. I've witnessed it so many times, but in the midst of it all we become joyful for what they've done and continue to do. So with that said, keep on singing, Mr. LeVert and letting your light shine brightly until The Most High says, 'Job well done My good and faithful servant ". I'll be a loyal fan until the last song has been sung. Keep doing your thang, sir.

I met Gerald years ago at a festival in Cleveland. So downtown earth. He was one of the nicest celebrities I’ve ever met. Was so hurt when he passed. I’m glad his dad is keeping his music alive
