You make it sound so easy. You are right the cost / setup is really doable or at least semi doable by any serious hobbyist. A few thousand dollars and an empty basement and you're probably good to go. I would say it pretty much has to be a basement or some sort of concrete slab when you start talking about 1000 gallon tanks.
For sure - they don't call it a "5 ton tank" for nothing hah. It's not easy, as you know, but there's nothing that seems impossible about it either. Keeping reef tanks is the same, it's just that we've gotten used to the difficulty of keeping coral alive.

Ahhh sorry! That's a Bluespotted Angelfish, Chaetodontoplus carruleopunctatus. It does nibble on my Acropora and it's somewhat aggressive as well, but all in all a nice fish.

I think you could use a traditional tank. The circular ones are easier to keep clean, and easier to keep things (eggs) in motion to skim off.
,do anthias fish breed in 500 l tank . If so how many males to female can be stocked ¿

The fish in the title image is an Evansi Anthias which is a touchy species but totally keepable assuming numerous daily feedings of appropriate foods.
