The Kick up is a basic move that is done in both Martial Arts and Gymnastics. This is move that is also very useful in breakdancing. Take you time and enjoy

Warning: These tutorials do involve moves that take time and hard work to learn and should not be attempted until you master the basics (Toprocks, Basic Footwork & Basic Freezes). Make sure you get comfortable with the moves before moving on, and make sure you have an open space to dance in. I am not responsible for any injures, sore muscles or broken furniture while you are attempting these tutorials. Take it easy until you feel comfortable. Literally got this on the 5th try. For those who need help. What I noticed when I do it is the neck really helps a lot when coming off the ground. You know how someone does that dance move the worm. Well imagine doing a worm on your back starting from your legs. Make sure you put your legs right above you. Like knees should be aligned somewhat close to your hands. Also make sure they aren’t to close to each other. Spread them legs a little wide. Then explode(I like to pretend I’m sleeping then an imaginary enemy came inside my room and I explode like I’m a badass martial artist about to whoop ass) yourself into the heavens. And while your going into the bridge make sure you(like the worm) follow the legs -> hips -> chest -> neck flick. Imagine Shang tsung possessing your chest -> neck(like a wavy motion, neck flick is really important) and also utilize your hands to, don’t forget to push as well when you explode like a Kung fu master to the sky. That’s what I noticed anyways. You might find other things work better for you but my advice is for those who can’t find a starting point.

All kip-up tutorials should mention the need for pre neck stretches. Hopping straight into kip-ups often makes my neck sore for a couple days.
Do dynamic stretches before, and static stretches after.
SO HELPFUL, I did it in 5 minutes. I’ve been trying to learn this since I was little, just landed it drunk 😂😂

As a person with spinal arthritis and muscular scoliosis, bending the spine the other way actually feels really good. This is a great exercise 🥰

Did it! I did 3 sessions of 8 min last 6 mnths with other tutorials but with this one i got it from the fisrt time.. make sure you're warm. It's not hard, i noticed that the placement of my hand helped a lot. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

For those who say they can't do it. They will one day. It's not impossible. Anyone can do it. It just takes practice and practice makes perfect. Some get it sooner than others. Others days, weeks or months. Don't give up :)

It was the neck thing for me, that’s what helped me get it. I just used my hands to assist my neck and bam first try

I broke my bunkbed and flew through the first floor window.
I learned this in a day when I was 12, the easiest move ever! And people at school were amazed of it! even now!
