As you can see, the layout is purposely unpredictable. Many blind turns into blind hills. When ridden at night it truly is a mind bender. One of my best coaster memories ever. No wonder it still around !
I've ridden this thing a zillion times and it never gets old. My mom used to take my brother and I as many time as possible during the summer when we were out of school. Bless her, she is scared of coasters and would find a place to sit just outside the entrance while we rode over and over and over
yeah. truly.. this is nothing though.. it was rusted the first time i rode it. before they themed it and the surrounding area around batman it was rusted brown lol
The fact the half of the amusement park was underwater a couple months before or after this and that one of the loops from mindbender was halfway underwater is incredible
Rode this in 85 and 86 when I was 16 and 17. SO fun!!! I remember me and my friend talking about Mind Bender when we were just about 12. Hope he got to ride it.
Still there. Just got a touch up in paint and some new trains and tracking. They did put up a speed control just before you go down into the second loop and at the end. They also built a control room for the ride controllers. I ride it a couple of months ago and it’s almost as good as it used to be. The extra speed controls do slow it down too much though.
great memories!...getting the 45 dollar season passes back in 1983 84 85..was there every Sunday for like 3 yrs straight during the summers!..its great to see all the new rides they have now!..
It's been forever since I've been on roller coasters. Good memories of this. I'm sure they've got better one by now, but Mind bender looks just as awesome as it was ions ago
It's still one of the better coasters at the park, idk when you rode it if they had messed with the seats since being built but the current seating is more like the old just done a little nicer and for 2021 it'll be more restored (track-work) and probably be running better than ever. The loops are also more forceful than basically any new coaster that's made, believe it or not.
@@On1ylexo they are in the process of rebuilding i went yesterday and on July 4th and they havent touched it since so im guessing cause of covid-19 they havent been doing it.
This was my favorite one!!! They don't give you nothing to hold onto but a little bar way Infront of you.... I thought I was going to die going upside down and not having the bars that went over my shoulders!! It was so fun!!!
Aria Grey here is a fact. on a roller coaster you never have to worry about falling out the seat due to G-FORCE and Gravity. when you hit that loop it will feel like you are being pushed and pinned against the seat
i guess you haven't gotten stuck upside down. lol you'll probably never experience that since they reconstructed it after the 1990 issues. we got stuck upside down for half an hour one time lol
Old school coaster and the first steel coaster at Six Flags over Georgia. Even though it's old and nowhere near the fastest or highest, it is a blast even today. It was a well designed coaster. One of my favorites aspects is the way is darts in and around the tree tops.
I remember when it first opened, and I was extremely scared of this thing. u hear the screams thru the wood and the wheels turning. then thru the trees u see the train appear and disappear. but the night rides were the best to watch sitting under the tracks in the walkway... GA classic
I'm waiting for the Riddler Mindbender to have painted retracked fresh and smooth trains. It better be smoother when I ride it in 2021. I am ready to ride it,!!!
This was The first ride I rode at Six Flags over Georgia and my mom said that it wouldn’t be bad at all but I scream so loud I hated it but now I love it
I remember when "The Riddler's Mindbender" was just Mindbender. No batman theme. It was also painted brown. Still the same great classic Schwarzkopv ride though!
My mother nearly cried when it got to the part at the top where it feels like you are about to stop. Haha me and my bro teased her, she enjoyed it alot though after that part!! :D
I remember riding it with my sister when it first opened! I wouldn’t open my eyes in the loops but when I did we were upside down! I remember my sister laughing!
I really like the wooded area that it runs through.
Me too, it’s very relaxing lol
As you can see, the layout is purposely unpredictable. Many blind turns into blind hills. When ridden at night
it truly is a mind bender. One of my best coaster memories ever. No wonder it still around !
I've ridden this thing a zillion times and it never gets old. My mom used to take my brother and I as many time as possible during the summer when we were out of school. Bless her, she is scared of coasters and would find a place to sit just outside the entrance while we rode over and over and over
On the loops, it feels like you are being pressed into the seat, and you but is getting spanked by every vertical and horizontal track line.
Not for me, my head just dangled there, I fainted it was my first ride with loops.
yeah. truly.. this is nothing though.. it was rusted the first time i rode it. before they themed it and the surrounding area around batman it was rusted brown lol
I’m going to six flags to day if my brother leave s
With me it’s like the gravity is trying to pull my head forwards and also we almost got stuck
Lol 😂
it looks so cosy going through the woods and over the river!
No it isn't
MudgateBronn it is
MudgateBronn trust me it isn't. It is super rough and painful
Duck Dude yes it is. I went on it and I almost broke my arm again. Not even kidding
I’ve been on it it’s not
The fact the half of the amusement park was underwater a couple months before or after this and that one of the loops from mindbender was halfway underwater is incredible
Wait, *what* happened?
Basically Upper Georgia flooded meaning rides were submerged or partially
@@kiwikiwi2483the park is right next to a large river. The park floods every now and then. It’s happened 3 or 4 times since I first went in 1987
A good first coaster as an introduction to loops.
No. These loops are so forceful and if it’s your first inversion you would probably gray or even black out
I like it because on slower days there's no line. I managed to go for 5 circuits without getting off.
My first coaster with loops was the Blue Hawk, used to be known as the Ninga.
I agree this was my first introduction to loops
Sad that last time I came it was down I mean I should’ve went earlier when it was closed
Rode this in 85 and 86 when I was 16 and 17. SO fun!!! I remember me and my friend talking about Mind Bender when we were just about 12. Hope he got to ride it.
And ya I rode it because of a girl each time hahaha
This was my very first loop coaster back in 2014 and I still love it
When I went on this back in the summer it really hurt my back :O
Best roller coaster ever! It's quick but it's worth it. I grew up in Atlanta and have many memories.
I remember this being the first looping coaster I've been on
I been on it, it feels like your being pushed down by gravity when your upside down.
yeah that’s how g forces work
I rode that thing about 40 years ago when it was new! Glad it’s still going!
I actually don't think it is.
Last time I was there like maybe 5 years ago, I thought it was closed down for good
Still there. Just got a touch up in paint and some new trains and tracking. They did put up a speed control just before you go down into the second loop and at the end. They also built a control room for the ride controllers. I ride it a couple of months ago and it’s almost as good as it used to be. The extra speed controls do slow it down too much though.
This is one of my favorite rides at SFOG!! Great Video

Superb footage 💖💖💖💖☀️☀️☀️☀️🥳🥳🥳👍👍
I enjoyed this!!!l The layout in the woods is🔥!
Mind Bender was my first looping coaster. I've always loved the low whooshing sound it makes when the coaster goes through a loop. So awesome.🎢🥰
It's been forever since I've been on roller coasters. Good memories of this. I'm sure they've got better one by now, but Mind bender looks just as awesome as it was ions ago
M Da Martian Still the same bro lol
Nope its still the same

Ions ago lmao 😂 You mean eons* ago
Ions 😂
This was the first multi loop coaster I rode back when I was eight, I really enjoyed it and have fond memories of it to this day.
First off I’m literally the only one watching in 2019 and second of all am I the only one who loves this ride😂
Dixie Sky I’m watching in 2020

This is my favorite ride at Over Georgia

Sadly today this ride is gone rip mindbender you'll be remembered
So no more mind Bender?

Aria Grey Yeah same I thought I was gunna fall out to!
Aria Grey you know what the roller coaster is
Aria Grey Thats why I LOVE this coaster. You literally feel like you're going to slip out of your seat then the loops hit. It's amazing.
i guess you haven't gotten stuck upside down. lol you'll probably never experience that since they reconstructed it after the 1990 issues. we got stuck upside down for half an hour one time lol
R.I.P Me Couldnt Sleep After Coming Home... Thanks Mindbender.
Ikr my neck was hurting for a whole week
I just went this Saturday and this was the first real real roller coaster I had got one scared the crap out of me :)
This is my favorite coaster in the park. Plus I love the sound when you go through the loop
I'm ready to go back
i have been on this ride so many times makes me so nostalgic favorite ride of all time!
Underrated and one of the best rides at the park
I'll never get tired of the Mind Bender!
After all these years it's still the best coaster at Six Flags.
Not anymore after they ruined it. It’s so slow now
Smoothest ride on a rollercoaster.
Fav ride, not too intense, not too weak
A coaster classic at it's best😮
My first roller coaster at six flags!
in the background I saw thunder river, goliath, & batman
Danielle Combs don’t you mean log jamboree?? Thunder river on the other side of the park 😂
jessicah danielle 8 years ago, and no thunder river Is close to this, log flume is near the front

This is my most fave coaster at Six Flags
When I was very little we used to go to Six Flags Georgia evey summer until Walt Disney World opened. [We lived in Tampa, so...]
I remember when it first opened, and I was extremely scared of this thing. u hear the screams thru the wood and the wheels turning. then thru the trees u see the train appear and disappear. but the night rides were the best to watch sitting under the tracks in the walkway... GA classic
Yesssssss i Rode This Ride At 6Flags Over Georgia
I just rode that for the first time this past weekend and it was also my first roller coaster surprisingly I really enjoyed it
I'm waiting for the Riddler Mindbender to have painted retracked fresh and smooth trains. It better be smoother when I ride it in 2021. I am ready to ride it,!!!
I love this ride so much
I went on this on a field trip in 5th grade, I had my head between my knees the entire time lmao
My personal favorite of all time.
This was my second roller coaster ever!!! My first was the Ninja!
Macie Taylor well u must’ve hated ur first roller coaster cuz ninja sucks...... It just HURTS!
@@itxrror1ze722 Good thing they re-modeled it
My first coaster ever. Had a ton of fun.
Its crazy to me how old this ride is but yet still fun
What a fantastic coaster
My 5 yr old sister went on this and said “I HATE IT!” “Why?” We asked. “IT WENT OVER WATERRRR!!” Lmao.
This is the one I they ended up enjoying the ride rough but really fun
This was The first ride I rode at Six Flags over Georgia and my mom said that it wouldn’t be bad at all but I scream so loud I hated it but now I love it
I wont scream I close my eyes the whole time
This ride is so old and bad. my dad rode this when he was young, he is 46. Also my grandpa rode ir
How is it bad? Oh, it’s not?
what a classic ride, love it!!
Rock solid old coaster. Very very fun
I haven’t on this ride since my last visit to the park in 2018
A few years ago, when I was 8 I rode it for the first time and it was terrifying.
ONE OF MY FAVORITES 💘
Tha best ride Ever! Used to love this ride😊🤗
All time favorite from this park tbh
A relatively mild roller coaster for beginners and newbies
First coaster I ever rode in 1987. Looks a little rougher now. The loops make a roaring sound.
The best ride!! Im going this saturday
The descending turn over the lake is intense!
this one always hurts my neck after i get off
@@Bruce_Wayne35 or the ninja LOL
Just rode it today and yup neck pain
keely brooke SAME
Smammmeeee
Keep your head against the headrest on the loops!
I remember when "The Riddler's Mindbender" was just Mindbender. No batman theme. It was also painted brown. Still the same great classic Schwarzkopv ride though!
the best warm up coaster is the delonega mine train right when you walk in.
my fav out of them all
Loved the ride just hurt my neck during the loops
I love this one.
That chatter at the beginning and that uh oh! WAS ME AND I CAN PROVE IT
best ride there. oh and the dahlonega mine train is a great starter
Hey this is really good and still this should be more popular.
All of Atlanta is nice---but the park is great.
one of the best rides there
I LOVE THIS RIDE
I was searching a video like this to se how the ride looks like cause when I was actually there I had my eyes closed from the beginning until the end
I got stuck on that ride
Animal lover 28 me too
When
My mother nearly cried when it got to the part at the top where it feels like you are about to stop. Haha me and my bro teased her, she enjoyed it alot though after that part!! :D
The ride was so rough, my back started hurting after the ride was done. I hated the mindbender so much. That i am never going to ride this EVER again.
My first rollercoaster ride. Lolololol.
Man I rode this shit I was fucking slidin around all up in my damn seat kept smashing shoulders with the lady next to me shit
My friend and i went on that ride when it started going fast we crouched down in our seat
What does that mean
Oof that's how i felt
That's like six flags shock wave coaster🙃
JINX Anims It is made by the same people, they just have different layouts.
Yes, it is very similar, however I think shock wave is more intense than this one.
Ya but this one is better
I Always Close My eyes On Loops And This Rollercoasters Scary! Its Fun But Way To Scary!!
When I do that it makes me feel like I'm falling off the ride
I love this ride
I rode this when I was 9 with my dad and barely opened my eyes haha
I had such good times on this one. 😊
I went on this today and ALMOST lost my glasses, luckily they landed in the little tram thing 🥳
My favorite 😍
My 2nd rollar coaster, my 1st was the dalhega
I loved Shockwave at Six Flags Over Texas, and everyone says this is better, but this was closed when I went. :(
I remember riding it with my sister when it first opened! I wouldn’t open my eyes in the loops but when I did we were upside down! I remember my sister laughing!
Cap the ride was made in 1978 there’s no way your that old:
i luv this ride
Such a classic!
I went on their today!!!!
This was my first roller coaster
I miss this ride
Jill Smith It's still there.
They only use those hold-on restraints, and seat belts I think but it is really fun
