Thanks for posting this up. I worked at Six Flags back in 1995 as I was one of the International student workers and this was my ride. It's good to see a video of it. Brings back a lot of memories and reminds me of all the good times I/we had there.
Just seeing the Log Jamoboree brings back some memories when I worked there back in the Summer of 1995 being one of the 1st International employees, lots of good times!
i remember there used to be a tunnel on that hill when u went down it and a big lumber jack man on top of the hill he stood above u..that's when six flags had a lot more rides..today they have less rides
So do I. I forget the odd reason why they took it down. But, do you recall how there were TWO log rides. Or, when is it you remember the days of the logger being there? I remember him from the 1970's, back when times were *so much better!!!* That was also back when my family of six could go, and, have a very safe and fun time. My family consisted of both my parents, my two brothers and one sister, and me, the baby of the family !! ! We all had a choice, every year, as to where we wanted to go together, for our family vacation while I was growing up. And, we would all always choose to go to Six Flags over Georgia!!! Ahhh, the good ol' days!!!
This is not by any means the most exciting log flume, but it's probably one of the fastest I've been on. I definitely prefer the faster log flumes to the ones that just sort of meander on from one drop to the next without having anything exciting in between.
2011?! You guys have been at this a while I can see! Six Flags G was my very first log flume ride, back in President Johnson's days... Seriously, me and the flume are that old. It may well have been rebuilt or even moved, [god knows I've had work] but I have some distinct 6 year old's memories of flying through the woods... I got home to Florida and promptly started trying to build my own backyard log flume... Maybe I was 8 if I was already using daddy's hand tools. [yes, he eventually got himself a set of tools that "I could use too". Sure daddy, now that I'm a grown up, I see what you did there!
This is one of the best Arrow log flumes. It's the shortest, that I've been on, but it's one of the FEW log flumes that picks up some speed and you're hauling butt a good 1/2 the course. And at this point the trees have grown in beautifully so it feels like you're cruising at tree top level. Probably was better before they built the B&M Stand up and Eurofighter but... One of my favorite rides in the park. Nice little splash, doesn't soak you. Wish it was a little longer though. I love it's awkward ass, old style Arrow flume station too. Classic.
This was much better when the scenery had more trees and foliage and less rollercoasters and asphalt. Also, total jerk thing to do if you're in front. Wait until the last moment on the final drop then duck.
You said it. Taking the trees out removed one of thd greatest pleasures of the ride. I remember when the flames had much more water and it was dyed blue.
@@blakeevett6237 my little sister does, and my mom has two metal hips (she has hip dysplasia) and cant ride the thrill coasters so dont asssume things you dont know
I recommend this ride for anyone, cause it's pretty smooth and the drop is fun. :D plus if it's a hot day you get to cool off. but if you REALLY wanna get wet get on thunder river.
This was the first ride (not coaster) I rode when I came into Six Flags. My dad and I were really hot so we went on this coaster. I remember getting freaked out on the first shake on the log. I hadn't been on a ride in forever, so I didn't know how it felt.
this is superb. love all the sounds. I haven't been to SFoGA in 30 years. :( Need to go again bef I croak, motion sickness be damned! actually, wondering how bad the coasters are on the average motion sickness prone.
i went last month and i'm gong again this month the rides are amazing and i had no problems the lines were not long at all! even on the most popular rides.
The log ride! So nostalgic the very first ride I’ve ever risen at a theme park as a child me and my mom would come here and I would be terrified of the drop 😂 #funtimes #memories
I went to Georgia for a Band concert in 2009. and thats the first time I had ever been to Six Flags, I rode the Goliethe, Thunder River and the Log Jamboree
What was the original log fume water ride six flags over Atlanta Georgia I remember going in 80 are 81 I see there were 2 what year did the 2nd one come out I went on vacation here with family and Disney world same year both parks
me and cousins were screaming the whole time, and you know how when you watch the simpsons and their tongues always roll when they scream well it was like that!
me and mah friend call this the scorcher spit because we were riding the scorcher (the yellow one right next to the log ride) and ppl were spitting into the water.... plz dont drink the water lol

THIS HAS TO BE MY FAV RIDE AT SIX FLAGS XD
That is the cleanest and most clear water I have ever seen on a log ride.😊

I love Log Jamboree but the waiting area has to many bees. And I think its because I go to six flags in the summer....Idk

I remember I went on this one over the summer of last year I was not expecting that drop lol
Exactly 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah this used to have a tunnel on the final drop. And they removed the other flume for GEORGIA SCORCHER. It was the better one of the 2.
Anthony Martinez I like georgia scorcher better, you know, cause your standing up, and its a rollercoaster.
You can hear that B&M roar in the background. Love it

yeah, i went on it a little longer ago, probably in about 2005 or so, there were way more trees

My mother told me there was once a recording of laughter like a devious "Ha ha ha!" when you reached the top of the ramp before the long plunge down.
This log ride is really fast. Kudos.😊
I loved that ride it was fun
That was the fastest log flume I ever seen, liked this one.

I never got a chance to ride on this, I never knew how long it really was!

Now this is a fun log ride! Six Flags Over Texas should get their log ride like this because theirs sucks. It doesn't even get you wet.

I’ve Ben to that ride before but I’ve never seen a splash like that
When I went to Six Flags Over Georgia for the first time, this ride was closed, and I was disappointed
I still prefer the flume ride at Magic Mountain.
Also, did they reuse the ride vehicles from Tales of the Okefenoke?
Ethan Burnes Oh i never thought about that!
No. The Okefenokee boats were different
SUCH FUN RIDE !!!!!!!!!
why tf isn't this open now
I went there yesterday!
what was the name of that water ride that used to spray the people standing on the bridge
I think that was called Splash waterfalls .
Definitely one of my favorite log flumes! I like how fast it is. Most of the other ones I've been on are just slower.
What's those brown things under water??
how many water rides does the one in Atlanta have?
I wanna go there one day.
Hey whats that one ride thats getting tore down this year?
one time i was so lucky and i got to see the rollercoster do the turn
I went to six flags for the first time over spring break I rode the like 10 times back to back
Looks fun😄😄😄😄😄
Just out of curiousity, does anybody know about how deep that water is?
I love that ride
one time it was close ish to closing time and nobody was going on it so we kept on climbing through the bars we went on about ten times
The first time I went on that thing I thought it was so unstable!
As a kid, I hated this ride. It scared me to death...
