RIP to the Ninja. One of the worst rides ever due to head banging, BUT, still holds a place in my heart for the nostalgia. So many headaches riding the Ninja as a kid 😂😂
I really don't know why they bothered with the change. Should've torn it down and built a mega lite in its place. The location would be perfect. Either that or get rid of it and the scream machine and build an Intamin giga and build a new wooden coaster where the mindbender is in a few years
Pleasure Beach Experience It’s actually Smooth, before they refurbished the ride (used to be Ninja), it was the worst roller coaster at the park due to the amount of head banging, buts not much better from what others say.
Me and my brother’s first ever coaster when I was 14 and he was 10. My dad forced us to go on it, and we were crying like babies. No regrets, as I love coasters now!
They refurbished the entire cars. Its not the coaster that was uncomfortable, it was the seats and harnesses. They are so much better and i experienced zero pain while riding
I just actually road this ride today at six flags. It’s actually not bumpy anymore ride has definitely been improved. And I normally don’t even get on roller coasters. But I would definitely ride this again.
Before it was repainted, the old Ninja version of this coaster was the one they filmed the Griswold family on when they were at Wallyworld in the newer Vacation movie with Ed Helms and Christina Applegate. It was called the Velociraptor in the movie.
Fun fact: this ride was designed to fit into the space now occupied by the Great Nor'Easter at Surfside Pier. This is why the layout is so similar to the SLC; the SLC was actually designed to fit into that space, and then cloned.
This is my favorite coaster at my home park... ...aside from every single other coaster. I need to file a police report against Vekoma for brutally assaulting me.
Gemstar 382 what did vekoma ever do to you? Vekoma never beat up your kids or your dad, Vekoma would never cheat on your GF, Vekoma wouldn’t make you eat something you wouldn’t wanna eat, all Vekoma does is shake you around a little bit
Those are all valid points except for one. My daughter has ridden this atrocity and it DID in fact beat her up. Police reports were filed but unfortunately it's our word against Vekoma's.
One of the few Togos still legally allowed to exist. Barely. Hopefully they'll tear it down before I go back out west. If I'm near it I'll feel obligated to get the credit.
Gemstar 382 Vekoma is like your big brother. He knocks you around a bit (ninja) then be realises he went to far then goes easier on you (inFusion) but despite all the fall outs. If something did go wrong be would always be there for you (lech Coaster)
Themeparkguy Productions het i dont know if you will see this but I'm going here soon and I have never rode an upside down coaster do you think this would be a good 1st
Pet Paradise hey I'm going here for my first time very soon I've never been on an upside-down roller coaster do you think this would be a good first for me
I rode the back car yesterday. I rode the ninja 15 years ago. I loved it. Got to appreciate the tight turns where you feel like you're about to get decapitated.
First few times I rode this is was fantastic. Best ride in the park. Rode it last year and it’s starting to get bumpy but it’s still really freakin good. My second favorite roller coaster next to Tennessee tornado at Dollywood
Vekoma had an agreement with Arrow in the late 70's/early 80's. As long as they used Arrow trains they had access to Arrow patents (including their tube track design). Subsequently, Vekoma tracks are extremely similiar to Arrow's.
Lack of innovation. They took too long to update their track design which made for rough rides. B&M leap frogged them in design, taking a lot of business. Building X for Magic Mountain bankrupted them (for many reasons)
Rode this last week. Got off the ride with a stiff next and I'm pretty sure a mild concussion. Kids seems fine and wanted to ride again but the older you get the worse this ride is.
Steel vengeance shouldn't be compared. Twisted cyclone is .......... Just twisty and i'm more of a twisted airtime person than just normal unoriginal airtime.
This ride use to be called the Ninja and it was red & black... but people hated it cause it would throw your head around And Leave a major headache or sometime even injury. It’s the same ride... just different colors but better safety gear
This was actually my first roller coaster I ever ride. How the hell am I coaster enthusiast, I don't know. But yeah this ride apparently did it for me when I was 7.
Ive rode it before at the same park and the seatbelts are kinda weird and their really tight. When the loops happened the chest thing would push on your chest. Gotta be honest, I don’t really like it cause it gave me a stomach ache.
ah the old ninja. i rode it once, around the late 90's....i just remember seeing the people in the back car's head rattle around so roughly i thought it was going to break their neck. fun times.
They should add those new trains to other coasters like Viper at Darien Lake and Six Flags Magic Mountain, Vortex at Kings Island, Anaconda at Kings Dominion, and Ninja at Six Flags St Louis to name a few.
i respect the hell out of this coaster for turning a 2/10 coaster to like a 5 or 6/10 coaster. still not a great ride but ninja was the one gaping pit in sfog's repertoire and its been improved greatly as blue hawk, even if it is still just mediocre
Of all the corkscrew coasters I've seen, this is the only one I've seen where the corkscrews go left instead of right. I wonder what other corkscrew coasters have them going left...
Not sure whether Six Flags Magic Mountain is considering giving its Viper coaster a similar rehab, like Six Flags Over Georgia did with Blue Hawk (used to be Ninja). Assuming Vekoma trains with vest style restraints on an Arrow mega looper is doable... as many Arrow Dynamics manufactured world class coasters are hard to come by. Looking forward to Twisted Cyclone coming to SFOG in 2018. Hopefully the wood supports get painted that similar shade of grey, like SFNE's Wicked Cyclone coaster, Twisted Cyclone logo on the lift-hill structure, and maybe some weather chasers theming... and hopefully Georgia Scorcher gets a new and much needed paint job during the winter off-season.
If Vekoma isn't trying to kill people with rough rides, it'll be their layouts. Even when watching this on a computer I feel like those supports and track will chop my head off.
I like how you can hear his cries of pain
The real Magic Cheeseburger it’s not even rough lol
It’s actually not even rough surprisingly
Y'all didn't on it when it was Ninja did y'all? XD... Gave me a concussion
That's gforce grunts lol
I just rode it and it’s not even rough lmao I enjoyed it
I was like "why have I never heard of this ride?" then remembered it used to be Ninja
Sokobansolver same
RIP to the Ninja. One of the worst rides ever due to head banging, BUT, still holds a place in my heart for the nostalgia. So many headaches riding the Ninja as a kid 😂😂

Sokobansolver lol I was like “I go here at least four times a year WHAT IS THIS”
Cody Goins not really cause it would kinda take up the other rides..
The grunting is impeccable 😂😂
Sounded like he was about to puke! lol
The head-choppers on this ride are insane.
omg ikr! I went on it a few hours ago (currently in line for superman) and I swear if I were two inches taller I would've been beheaded
Good thing I’m only 5’1 lol.
Paint job looks good, ride looks brutal!
Pleasure Beach Experience It’s actually Smooth, before they refurbished the ride (used to be Ninja), it was the worst roller coaster at the park due to the amount of head banging, buts not much better from what others say.
Fair enough, regardless of how rough it is, I'd still ride it!
Pleasure Beach Experience I think it was hard holding the camera, but when SFOG did a POV of the ride, it’s much smoother.
It looks like a mounted chest harness POV
Pleasure Beach Experience It is
Me and my brother’s first ever coaster when I was 14 and he was 10. My dad forced us to go on it, and we were crying like babies. No regrets, as I love coasters now!
I rode this ride countless times growing up. No row helps. I’m a coaster junkie and this ride HURTS.
They refurbished the entire cars. Its not the coaster that was uncomfortable, it was the seats and harnesses. They are so much better and i experienced zero pain while riding
Yeah this ride hurt so f*cking bad, I was pissed
@@xovidoesstuff6179 Good to know! I'll be going for my first time in 3 days
I rode when it was called ninja. I was hoping it would just drop me in the lake.
I rode this back in Ninja days and it lives by its name! Felt like a Ninja did brutal head damage
I just actually road this ride today at six flags. It’s actually not bumpy anymore ride has definitely been improved. And I normally don’t even get on roller coasters. But I would definitely ride this again.
Good to know.

I swear I instinctively duck my head down whenever we go under the tracks as if they'll cut my head off
From the noises he was making i don’t think I will ever go on
Andrew Pettegrew it’s not bad really just make your body tense and you’ll be good
Ooh I know it’s just a joke
It's good. Short lines
it's not that bad promise
Gotta grunt a lil bit😂
I love this ride so much!!even tho im 10 its amazing!!
This is my favorite coaster at my home park...
...aside from every single other coaster. I need to file a police report against Vekoma for brutally assaulting me.

You should have rode it when it was Ninja..ouch!
I surprisingly really like this ride, it may be a little on the jerky side, but it is intense in the back row!
Themeparkguy Productions don't you mean ALOT on the jerky side? jk lol
Themeparkguy Productions het i dont know if you will see this but I'm going here soon and I have never rode an upside down coaster do you think this would be a good 1st
@@thundermcking6969 not anymore.. the frikkin Dahlonega Mine Train is more jerky/rough than this. This is smooth as butter in the front cars.
It’s not that bad. It’s better than ninja. It’s actually enjoyable!!.
Pet Paradise hey I'm going here for my first time very soon I've never been on an upside-down roller coaster do you think this would be a good first for me
Pet Paradise it is the ninja
Fresh kicks It doesn’t hurt your neck
I rode the back car yesterday. I rode the ninja 15 years ago. I loved it. Got to appreciate the tight turns where you feel like you're about to get decapitated.
Pet Paradise it IS ninja
Alot of ppl don't know that this was the coaster used in the movie Vacation back when it was red. It was called velociraptor in the movie.
Exactly
1:31 gets me every time.
This ride was fun. I rode it at night and wasn't expecting that loop and had to hold my glasses. I'll definitely ride this again
this is definite our favorite ride. it is such a smooth ride! my only complaint is that it's so good, we go "nooooo!!" when it's over.
fried apple pie smooth? Probably the roughest rude at the park
@@bentubepyro maybe you should go back and try it again. ;-)
@@friedapplepie1872 nah if scream machine didnt exist thus would definitely be the roughest
First few times I rode this is was fantastic. Best ride in the park. Rode it last year and it’s starting to get bumpy but it’s still really freakin good. My second favorite roller coaster next to Tennessee tornado at Dollywood
The only compliment this ride deserves is how compact it is. :D
Loved this ride so much!
They changed it around some but that was the former Ninja
I saw the track and thought it was made by Arrow Dynamics. I looked up to be sure and it was made by Vekoma.
The ride was made by Arrow, but Vekoma had to finish the ride after Arrow went bankrupt
No that was the other Ninja at Six Flags St Louis. This one was all vekoma.
Vekoma had an agreement with Arrow in the late 70's/early 80's. As long as they used Arrow trains they had access to Arrow patents (including their tube track design). Subsequently, Vekoma tracks are extremely similiar to Arrow's.
Why did arrow dynamics go bankrupt
Lack of innovation. They took too long to update their track design which made for rough rides. B&M leap frogged them in design, taking a lot of business. Building X for Magic Mountain bankrupted them (for many reasons)
1:16 What is that siren sound
motor
So many head chopper elements!
i love this roller coaster i got on it 5 times ina row
It is still the ninja its just painted blue💯
Runs smoother too
It’s fun, I live near this six flags and let me tell you, this one used to be pretty smooth, but the past few years have not treated this ride well
Those people are loving the butterfly inversion XD
It's a shame that basically every butterfly inversion ever built has been shit lol, they are beautiful inversions.
I remember when Ninja first opened up around 26 years ago. I got to ride it before the park opened up and yes it was a headbanger to the extreme.
I remember riding Ninja about '94 or '95. It didn't look new to me then, but maybe it was.
Rode this last week. Got off the ride with a stiff next and I'm pretty sure a mild concussion. Kids seems fine and wanted to ride again but the older you get the worse this ride is.
Gotta love the G-force grunts lol. How you know it's an old school looper packed with good G's.
Are you excited about Twisted Cyclone?
Jalyn Stefon Nope. Twisted Timbers and Steel Vengeance, on the other hand...
Why, twisted cyclone is looking to be better than twisted timbers after six flags announced it will be 300.ft longer than originally planed.
Lucid Talks bruh twisted timbers will b much better and steel vengeance will crush all of them
Steel vengeance shouldn't be compared. Twisted cyclone is .......... Just twisty and i'm more of a twisted airtime person than just normal unoriginal airtime.
Lucid Talks the layout should be mostly the same but the extra 300ft is coming from the fact the probably mismeasure the original track length.
i saw these comments before riding the rollercoaster and i was expecting it to be really bad. I actually really like it lol
The best roller coaster I've ever rode by far. So fun!
1:31 From the minute he made that sound, that lets you know that the ride still hasn’t been fixed.
But it has been fixed. The ride is great!
Rode it long ago as Ninja and it hurt me so bad that I’ve never been able to ride any coaster since…. It was BRUTALLY PAINFUL!!
Haven't ridden it since the 90s and still have bad memories.
i went on this ride for the first time yesterday and i can’t decide if i like it or absolutely hate it
lol. That happens to me at times.
This ride use to be called the Ninja and it was red & black... but people hated it cause it would throw your head around And Leave a major headache or sometime even injury. It’s the same ride... just different colors but better safety gear
Isn’t this the ride that was used in the “Vacation” movie?
The new restraints truly revived this ride. Head banging gone!
This was actually my first roller coaster I ever ride. How the hell am I coaster enthusiast, I don't know. But yeah this ride apparently did it for me when I was 7.
Why did you make those sounds when it was a loop lol
The roller coaster is bumpy.
Ive rode it before at the same park and the seatbelts are kinda weird and their really tight. When the loops happened the chest thing would push on your chest. Gotta be honest, I don’t really like it cause it gave me a stomach ache.
It’s a Vekoma coaster, GP
Because he was in pain
i can safely say this vekoma is only good when it's not transitioning or upside down. so the drop and the brake run lol is the best parts
I really wish this ride was longer. 👍
i love this one my aunt passed out when we went there
I road this 100% my favorite after goliath its fun no cap
This is my favorite one from over georgia!
I love how the ride after getting to the top slows down than starts coming off the chain clicking
Not a bad ride I rode it 3x back to back it’s one of my favs
ah the old ninja. i rode it once, around the late 90's....i just remember seeing the people in the back car's head rattle around so roughly i thought it was going to break their neck. fun times.
Fun ride. Ride it twice
Shark Productions Inc. Hey don't know if you will see this but I have never rode an upside down coaster do you think this would be a good 1st
This is actually a terrible rolller coaster. It is one of the roughest at the park. I would recommend mind bender or Superman.
Yeah shark is my other channel and I recommend mind bender or batman but this is still fun in some wats
lol a vekoma SLC is at least 1.5 Times as rough as this one
They should add those new trains to other coasters like Viper at Darien Lake and Six Flags Magic Mountain, Vortex at Kings Island, Anaconda at Kings Dominion, and Ninja at Six Flags St Louis to name a few.
Mitchell Ries I know right? They should also do it to corkscrew at cedar point and dragon fire at Canada’s wonderland
i respect the hell out of this coaster for turning a 2/10 coaster to like a 5 or 6/10 coaster. still not a great ride but ninja was the one gaping pit in sfog's repertoire and its been improved greatly as blue hawk, even if it is still just mediocre
I hated Ninja. Walked past Blue Hawk 4x this weekend, thinking it would be the same. Maybe next time I'll try it.
LoL at the people behind you. This is on my Old Skool page. Even with new trains, it's still the old track layout. Didn't work for T3.
my friend is forcing me on this ride next time we go to Six Flags and this made me feel a little bit better about it
So good it got in the movie vacation
I remember going to the park that year. It was so freakin crowded
those are the closest headchoppers i've ever seen
Sound like it hurt
this one was actually more fun than it looks. i didn't feel the drop bc it was super fast.
that was my 2nd favroite ride at six flags!
best ride there to to me it's not scary when you go down just upside down
Blue hawk and ninja are the same layout. Fun but not new. It hurts though
This thing was brutal for like 20 years. Any smoother now?
Yeah it’s smoother not perfect but way smoother and better restraints
this was my first ride with a loop
i didnt know there were 50
They seriously need to take this ride out the park
I use to have a headache after this ride but it was fun tho!!!!
Of all the corkscrew coasters I've seen, this is the only one I've seen where the corkscrews go left instead of right. I wonder what other corkscrew coasters have them going left...
Dragon Fire @ Canada's Wonderland has them going left!
Drachen Fire had corkscrews that went left!
Wow I go there a lot I’ve never rode that before but dare devil dive is good!
You’re a brave man! That ride beats up more people than Mike Tyson ever did in the ring! Great footage though 👍🏻
Funnest coaster I’ve been on
Was better as ninja feeling that feeling of being unsafe was way better
This ride is sooo fun !!!
biggest headache inducer of all time lmao
for some reason i couldnt find a single on of these coasters
womp
they made it way better this year
My mom road this when it was the ninja and it ruined her day
Never actually got on this but i might try it in the future. Theres just so many better coasters at the park that it doesnt seem worth it.
Not sure whether Six Flags Magic Mountain is considering giving its Viper coaster a similar rehab, like Six Flags Over Georgia did with Blue Hawk (used to be Ninja). Eric Kirk I think it would benefit arrows if they had the Verona vest restraint trains
I’ve had been on that before. It was really fun.
If Vekoma isn't trying to kill people with rough rides, it'll be their layouts. Even when watching this on a computer I feel like those supports and track will chop my head off.
Looks great, I don’t understand why people hate these kinds of newer Vekoma’s
The first inversion looks so painful!
I have to get on this!!!
Use to be the ninja in the good ole days
This basically similar if not the same thing as an SLC but the trains don’t hang above the track
That Butterfly element is one of the weirdest elements ever
Those first inversions look painful lol
Does it still beat the crap out of you and give you whiplash like ninja did?
Nope.
I love the color scheme but I can feel the rides roughness through the video oh my
This is the velosoraptor coaster from the 2015 remake of vacation
I rode this coaster recently. All I can say is I would have hated to have rode it before it got new trains. Bit on the rough side to say the least.
If nothing else, it has head choppers for days!
Was gonna get on the Blue Hawk but the ride got stuck and my sister was like nah we gonna do that another day
It’s a good ride but the inversions are extremely snappy but I do recommend you ride this once
Go on Blue Hawk they said, it's not that bad they said....
Sounded like he was coughing up a fur ball.
