- St Helena Island offers visitors a range of hotels, B&Bs and self-catering properties in Jamestown, and also up in the countryside locations like Longwood, St Pauls and Sandy Bay.
Eco-friendly holiday accommodations with built-in sustainable features, are also now available on St Helena, offering complete off-grid getaways.
Online booking is provided via the Travel St Helena website, a local business established in 2022, specialising in supporting the island’s holiday accommodation providers.

Hotels include the Consulate Boutique Hotel, Mantis St Helena and Wellington House, all in Jamestown, while up in the countryside you will find Farm Lodge Country House Hotel and Bertrand’s Cottage.
Self-catering and B&B properties in Jamestown include Brewery Yard Cottage, Fowlers’ Town House 1 and 2, Summerbee, The Gazebo, Cornerstone Flat and Maldivia Lodge.
Outside of town, properties include: Jaye’s Guest House B&B, Williams’ Estate (self-catering bungalows), Al’De’s Self-Catering, Simon’s Place, Harkate Cottages, Fuller’s Guest House, Wranghams Cottage, Banana Tree Lodge, Gift Cottage, Summit View and Rock Mount Eco-Lodge.
St Helena’s tourist attractions include, Jonathan the tortoise, officially the oldest living land animal in the world; the 699-step Jacob’s Ladder; Longwood House, the final home of French Emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte; High Knoll Fort; historic seaport of Jamestown and the many post box walks and hiking trails.

Hi Richard, it depends on what you mean re flights? There remain, unfortunately, the possibility of delays and postponements due to unfavourable weather at St Helena, which as we saw during 2023, can happen at any time of the year. Generally this means persistent low cloud and poor visibility for landing. Will try to get hold of some hard data for you. But otherwise, the service provider, Airlink, do an excellent job of operating the flights.

Yes, that's right. Airlink operate a weekly flight (Saturdays) from Johannesburg to St Helena using an Embraer E190, 98-seater aircraft👍
