Probably my top 10 personal favorite games, it’s probably one of the most depressing games as well, walking around a city that is completely silent and destroyed, having this feeling that everything you do will probably be for nothing.
This was literally me when ODST came out. During the Fall of 2009, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He ended up succumbing to it in the Spring of 2010. Halo ODST, as well as Halo Reach, hold a special place in my heart because both those games came out during that time.
Listening to this, I can't help but think about change. How relationships built and deteriorated, how buildings were started and finished, even the simple things such as how it seems hotter than it used to be. How my tastes are more refined. How I've grown as a person. How my friends have grown as people. It's humbling, thinking about it. And to think everyone goes through it, too. The passage of time really is an amazing thing.

Rookie live another thing worst than the war, he don't see the destruction of mombasa, and not see how the covenant crush the last human resistance like his team, but when he wake up and walk alone for the city, search his team he discovery what really happen in mombasa before the odst assault, with the terminals can listen histories, lost memories than probably anybody hear only rookie, he fight with the rest of the covenant alone, watch marines down, and the worst thing after the war, the insolation and darkness! The silence of the voices of the wind, the rain falling on him and after all he die like an heroe than maybe don't make something important for chance the war but with only survive into a dream is enough to be remembered like a one of the bests heroes to halo
I’ve been putting together a D&D campaign setting in my head for literal years now, and the city I’m most proud of has always been made with the ODST soundtrack in mind, any other music I’d think to play has the same vibe, and the quiet, dark, rainy atmosphere is exactly what I envision the place as having. I really wanna gush about the place cause again it’s my favourite city I’ve made, but it’s a lot and it’s very late lol
Halo 4 felt more authentic than Halo 5. But even then it didn't feel like a continuation of Bungie's legacy. It was a decent 'game', but it wasn't the Halo we've grown up with. Reach I think was a perfect combination of Old and New. It had just enough new features to make it feel refreshed but it wasn't too far off from the original formula. Same thing for ODST, just enough New for a different experience but it still felt like 'Halo'. One thing I have to say I did like about Halo 4 was how you could see the armors start to mimic Forerunner tech, it made sense. Except for the "Perfect" armor...

Best things in life are the things that made us FEEL something. This music was one of those things.

If you don't mind, I think I am going to edit this video with the rain already in it.

Pienso igual y creo q debió ser duro para el estar en una ciudad vacía solo con el covenant

CE, ODST, and Reach are my favorite games
It's the quiet mix without rain for when it's actually raining outside
I do the same when driving in the rain. Hits different in severe weather.
8:52 is one of my fav songs. Anyone know its name?
No Stone Unturned
No joke I almost cried
This is seriously the best thing ever.
Halo just doesn't have the same soul anymore. You can tell it's made purely for profit, the only thing about it that's still Halo is its name.
i agree

Well if your going to go there I did think they ruined the ODST's shoulders in 4.
Mickapicka honestly I wish It would've ended at reach
Brent Mackay I don't blame you.
Thank you so much for this

Well bungie is lowkey telling you they dipping from the halo franchise after dis
When u put it on X2 it sounds like a buch of tech bits and old tech
This is a great mashup, but you cut it off at the end prematurely. Anyway, thanks for putting this together.
0:00 and 10:24 are my favorites.
Tanks for the beautiful music, that's a sub for you
This is magical!

12:59 sounds tooo much like mad world from Gary Jules

No HD? u fail
Why are you looking for HD music on TH-cam?
Why not? .-.
You guys talking about video quality?
Insert Stewie griffin joke here "and you fail"
TH-cam compresses the audio quality below 720p, so the audio is not as good as it could be for this video.
Halo 4-5 terrible 343 killed halo
Thank you, you share the real deal.
6 years later this still holds true
i liked halo 4, hated the praetorians or w/e they were.
