I just want to thank you for an amazing video,my w124 has had a rough idle for so long and no garage I went to could ever cure it.After watching this video I ordered the cleaner and 24hrs later she is idling perfectly .not one garage ever thought it was the IAC, so thank you very very much
Thanks bro! Much appreciated. I’m also struggling with rough idle and I hope this will solve my issue. Hopefully the spare parts will arrive soon so I can replace the hoses. Will share the progress as soon as I can. Take care and much love to Denmark!
@@KUNIQUE yeah these elderly ladies get some respiratory difficulties with age, lol! Without a doubt this procedure will help mitigate the rough idle. I’m curious where to look up the specific part numbers and from where do you get the parts? I need a complete set of hoses and connections too! Also what year is your awesome Benz and how many kilometres on the odometer? - can you beat 393700 km on my ‘89? 😉
Haha indeed! I've already exchanged a few things and the hoses are the last thing I haven't looked at. I hope it gets better after that. I did a long research and looked at various EPC's until I was smart enough to look at the hoses where they were on them. Even Mercedes could not provide any information based on the VIN. I ordered the parts directly from Mercedes but as far as I know, Meyle is supposed to be very good too. I'll mention the part numbers in the next video. Maybe that will give you a point of reference. Wow, I think I can't beat that - mine is built in ‘88 and has 189.000 km on the odometer.
@@KUNIQUE awesome brother! Thanks for the advise! I’m looking forward to your next video! Yours has a nice low ‘mileage’ and there are many hundreds of thousands kilometres left! Mine was decently cheap with the high ‘mileage’ - I tell myself that mine is only halfway there, if you know what I mean 😉
I think throttle valve cleaner will destroy the internal rubber seal if not cleared out. Better to use a rust penetrating oil to wash out the valve imo. Acetone also destroys seals so they are not suitable cleaner either.
??? Cannot be turned how? If you put 12V on it and it clicks open easily and closes after disconnecting than it's good. Don't try opening manually with screw driver.
Thanks Pauric. I guess it was the crankcase breather hose and the spark plugs. Just watch my latest video. There are also some steps I did to fix the rough idle. The rough idle is fixed but now I got some cold start problems.
@@KUNIQUE I'll be definitely watching more videos, we have very similar issues 😅. My next project is rocker cover gasket and filler cap. Good luck with cold start, my cold start issue was solved when I realized that guy I bought car from had fitted wrong fuel pump relay.
Thanks and also good luck with your next projects on your to do list :) I will also check the relay. Maybe this could be the issue. But need to fix my central locking system first 😅
Thanks for the well detailed video, I have two questions. 1. Can I clean the IAC without removing it? 2. Can I use a carburettor cleaner? 3. For the lubricant, can I use silicone oil?
Hi zilizopendwa, 1. I don’t think that this is possible. At least it would be very hard because of limited space and spraying in the cleaner. 2. Should work as well. 3. Not sure. I used regular oil to lubricate it.
Thanks Benedikt! I guess the reason why you don’t here it clicking is that the valve is stuck. Maybe you can fix it by using the cleaner to remove the carbon. After the carbon is removed you can use some oil to lubricate it.
Aynen onlar. Ve ayriyeten motora doğru giden hortumlar. Onun da videosunu çekmiştim. O hortumlarda sertleşme varsa muhtemelen çatlak vardır. O çatlak yerlerden hava emince de rolanti dalgalanması oluyor

Thank you for the feedback. Comments like this motivate me to keep going.
I REALLY need to do this!
This and a new OVP will do wonders for my rough idle!
Cheers brother, I always enjoy your videos!

Check for vacuum leaks.
With background music how are we supposed to hear clacking noise?
Thanks for detailed video. I done similary the same and now as I feel, it's working has changed to the good side

so if the idle control is fixed and cannot be turned, is it broken?

Sir!!? I have a 1989 230e. It high revs at 2500rpms in park but in drive it's fine. What do you think the problem is? Please help!! 🙏🙏🙏
It’s hard to say. Maybe you have to check the injection micro switch. It could be that you have to replace the spring.
@@KUNIQUE the spring still works. Still clicks
Great videos thanks, what do you think fixed your rough idle issue?

Can this prevent the car from starting?. (if the car has been park for year's and never clean?)
Thank you for posting this
Thanks for the support Buick. It’s much appreciated!
Hola tengo el siguiente problema con un 190e no le llega corriente al enchufe hembra de la valvula iac y ya le cambie la ecu ke-jetronic?
Sorry I don’t speak Spanish. I tried to translate it but the outcome didn’t make sense.
No serán los cables mismos? En el mio esta todo reseco del calor y ya tuve que reemplazar varios tramos de cable.
What if i dont hear any noice if i shake it is there some way to fix it? Great vid btw

You can find the products in the description box below which I have used to clean and lubricate.

Bendede rolanti dalgalanması var durduğumda işe yaradı mı sonuç ?
Evet işe yaradı. Ama bununla birlikte hortumları ve bujileride değiştirdim. Bendeki sorun daha çok bujilerden kaynaklandığını düşünüyorum.

All cool except for the music and sounds. Had to turn volume to zero.
Pain in the Arse taking that thing out of there.!!!!!
Definitely 😂
