Really excited about the new chargers, my old one made me some trouble cause there wasn’t really a way for me to change the amperage properly so I’ve blown a fuse every now and then which is super awkward in air bnb’s 🫣 I should be fine now 🤞🏼

in a valve there is what is called a "shell" which can loosen and leak or need to be changed... it is demonstrated or tightened with a small special key

Hey Marc... even though our autobahn is good quality we have waayyy to much tolls and all of them are expensive. Try to make your route on maps choosing ' avoid tolls' on most of the cases you will see that is less kilometres in distance and as much as 15 20 minutes slower only . You will save a considerable amount of money, you will see way better sights and overall is actually less kilometres to cover.
Yap ... if you come from thessaloniki straight to Athens from autobahn the toll fee for Jim Jim is about 31 euros in total and almost 16 for eve...47 additional euros for 500 kilometres .... way to much

Wow. Really good thing the battery is still new so 0% should still have some "emergency juice"! I also always get the range question. Like yea SOME people can do 300km in one ride. Maybe they got asses of steel or whatever. Your charging speed is kinda perfect. 2-phase and your bike is full in an hour (mine needs 4h, 1-phase). After like 200km your butt NEEDs that break! I think most people who ask that question are car drivers who can actually do 500km in one go in a comfortable seat and closed space... Also Super excited for the gear video! I hope I can take a way one things or two! Safe travels!
Have no problem in doing 300Km in one go on my bike. I do have a tourer with a good wide seat, a backrest for long trips and now use an Airhawk cushion on long trips. I will generally stop at around 300Km as it is due petrol at this point. (I am 70 so need some comfotd while riding.) Still did this sort of mileage on smaller bikes with less comfortable seats, just need to be bike fit.

If I want to do a 500km stint on my 1200GS, I have to stop at least once to fuel up and I'll arrive on an empty tank. And I will be having a break of at least half an hour, too. Maybe more. As long as chargers are plenty, there really should not be a problem.
I don't have an electric bike yet but the charging doesn't worry me. When I plan a long ride, I check the riding time on Google maps then double it. That's to allow for the fact that you need to get off the bike every now and then for fuel, food, stretch your legs, whatever. There will be plenty of time to charge. Good on you for showing what is possible, while others try to tell you that's its not.
Mark, I think the big thing with electric transport is and always will be about the curiosity about the range. I know I always wonder how far electric vehicles are able to travel.
I know its safety issue, but you should install a switch to turn off the headlight. You could save some battery by turning the headlight off on the highway at day. Only for imergency

Another great production and I must admire your tenacity of electric to petrol bike ranges, comparing Eve’s to your Honda Dominator’s range. However, Kato my trusty 2022 Honda CB500X loaded with luggage, camping gear, on US back roads at 100 km/h gets around 29 km/L. With its 17.7-liter tank, it has a 513 km range. Distances are greater in the US, riding 500 km a day in the US is not unusual, even just for weekend.
I dunno, isn't WD40 actually worse? being petroleum based it will deteriorate the inner seal. I would think a silicone based lubricant would work better. Cheers!😁👍

Range and speed of charging is one thing… but driving 110km/h on a highway is not that fast… even I drive faster and I’m a slow driver. The technology is in iets early stage and will improve a lot the coming years, so I will wait still a bit to buy one 😊
I typically ride about 100 - 110 km/h with my zero. Not to save battery but because below that speed there is significantly less wind noise. And having a very silent motorcycle, I got used to not having too much noise.

I’m thinking about replacing my good old KTM 990 Adv but don’t know if its a wise choice to buy a new petrol bike. I normally do about 10 years with a bike but in 7 years all vehicles in my city must be zero emissions. So the petrol bike wont be worth a penny by then but EV bikes are pretty expensive now and I would rather wait for a more further developed generation batteries.

I know electric has less moving part then combustion, but electric bike has mych more circuits and chips to control all. I have electric car snd would not trade for any combustion engine car. Not sure about bike.
all them wires suck it should be wireless charging you park near machine and it beams it to bike or car cables suck that would do my head in. and also roads could have built in wirless electric that can beam to bike or car why travelling so you never need to recharge at a wall simple.
Spoiler alert 😞, Ribena is VERY bad for your teeth, very acidic and breaks down the enamel protecting them 😲. Ribena was a product of Britain until the Japanese bought the company. Does taste 😋 tho' .
Marc is literally traving around the world including part of Africa. And not once needed to tow the bike or hitchhike. Certainly not pointless. Even Itchyboots had trouble finding gasoline recently because they only had diesel

Fill up a tank - 5 minutes. Also charge station is hard to find - with no fast charge you have to stay for a night every 200 kilometers.
Not really hard to find and I charged up at restaurants before. I can now up to 3,6kw with the new chargers 🔌 not worried at all 🤙🏼

A quick squirt of wd40 in the valve stem I have found seals the valves from drying out and slowly leaking?

wir (meine 70-jährigen Eltern und ich) lieben deine Videos, eure Reise und wir schauen sie oft gemeinsam. Da meine Eltern kein Englisch sprechen, nutzen wir die Untertitelfunktion. Und warum auch immer: Die Untertitel funktionieren nicht gut. Oft fehlen ganze Sätze oder es wird Text eingeblendet, der erst später gesprochen wird und das Gesprochene dazwischen wird nicht übersetzt.
Wenn wir gemeinsam schauen, kann ich für sie übersetzen, aber das geht halt leider nicht immer 🙂 und es schmälert für meine Eltern den "Schau-Genuss", wenn sie es nicht verstehen.
Es wäre toll, wenn es eine Möglichkeit gäbe, das zu verbessern.
Wir folgen auch Itchy Boots, und bei ihr gibt es diese issues nicht.

I’m thinking about replacing my good old KTM 990 Adv but don’t know if its a wise choice to buy a new petrol bike. I normally do about 10 years with a bike but in 7 years all vehicles in my city must be zero emissions. So the petrol bike wont be worth a penny by then but EV bikes are pretty expensive now and I would rather wait for a more further developed generation batteries.

You don't use your tent that often, but still paying for the gas it adds to the poor aerodynamics of an already brick'ety car. Do you have plans for using it more later?
I didn't know the history of Ribena. We used to buy the syrup to mix with water. It still uses British Blachcurrant apparently.

I know electric has less moving part then combustion, but electric bike has mych more circuits and chips to control all.
I have electric car snd would not trade for any combustion engine car. Not sure about bike.

all them wires suck it should be wireless charging you park near machine and it beams it to bike or car cables suck that would do my head in. and also roads could have built in wirless electric that can beam to bike or car why travelling so you never need to recharge at a wall simple.

Marc is literally traving around the world including part of Africa. And not once needed to tow the bike or hitchhike. Certainly not pointless. Even Itchyboots had trouble finding gasoline recently because they only had diesel
