How would you compare doha vs dubai. On paper dubai seems mote developed more going on. However as far as doing business getting residency etc is qatar also foreign business friendly?
It's like comparing apples to oranges - they are very different. Doha is more comparable to Abu Dhabi - more relaxed, more family-friendly, closer to culture, not in the rat race. The infrastructure of Qatar is top-notch, probably better than UAE. Education is fantastic with great intl schools, and universities. Healthcare is world-class. Numerous reforms are being made and loads of initiatives are being undertaken by govt to make Qatar an even more business-friendly country. If you want to set up in a country and then serve the GCC region, Qatar is the best place to move with family.

Should the value of the purchased property be 750,000 or the actual investment? Someone might make a downpayment and then mortgage for the remaining amount. Will they still be able to apply for the PR?
If you mortgage, the property is not under your name until you make the full payment to the bank/financing company. So technically, PR won't be possible in this scenario until fully paid and transferred to your name.
Hey Riyadh nice video, I did some research about PR in Qatar. It mentions you can obtain a real estate investment of at least USD 1 million (QAR 3,650,000) which will lead to a permanent residency permit of five years. So this permanent residency isn’t really permanent ?
I just want to make sure you can purchase multiple properties to value 1Mil$? Doesn't have to be invested all in one propert of 1Mil$ to obtain perm residents?
@lifeindoha I read and were told by Qatari that as long as the properties you purchased and are fully paid for, and your total investment is 1MIL USD in the country, you can apply and obtain PR. This means, for example, that if I invest in 10 condos for 100,000 USD, that equal up to 1Mil USD and they are paid for and you have no loans on those properties you can apply for Perm residence. But now you are telling me this is false, which makes me wonder what is valid and not. But thank you for the quick response and great video.
