@@mcblyat9578 well I remember aspects of it actually.... Not being completely honest. The ambiance, alcohol, duel, story about Yennefer, nilfggard, etc
This conversation was maybe one of the most satisfying conclusions ever. Playing from W1 to W2 had left with many questions in mind and gave satisfying conclusion. Like mystery of Wild Hunt, they really did that well in these two games.
@@mathr719 He means that its just elvens that are mortal.. In other 2 games they were very hard to even find.. In the first Witcher game the King of the Hunt was nearby corpses at chapter 4 everywhere and you wasn't able to kill him.. You just had your mandragore and that cast him away and in 3rd game its just teleportable tall elven that you kill..
@@itzthehxnry_ Maybe, but their hands were kinda tied in that regard, because even in books it was revealed the Wild Hunt were Aen Elle elves. I didn't mind at all, I actualy liked it, but I guess it is a matter of personal opinion.
@@mathr719 In W1 you think they are this kind of army of phantoms, stealing peoples souls and whatnot. Interesting stuff, especially why they are after Geralt. Its all very obscure. In W2 you find all those hints that it not might be as super natural. Then at the end it is revealed they are actually invaders from another world. After that revelation, the war between nations feels unimportant. Anyway, after playing w2 I read the books while waiting W3. Final book goes into detail of their world, Eredin and all that. I could not wait for what they do with this. Instead in W3 WH is just space pirates with pointy ears.
This was so fitting for the final conversation with Letho, excellent ending to an excellent game. Bring on The Witcher 3, I say! I hope Letho makes an appearance too as I let him live, he's too epic :D
I doubt he will apprar, even if you spare him he says youll never see him again. I spared him my first play through, then killed him on the second. I prefer sparing him. He did save your life and rescued Triss.
The witcher 2 one of greatest RPG's I ever played with its great story and awesome armor and weapons and music. I can't wait till the witcher 3 wild hunt comes out
This is the best song of the series so far, for me. It conveys every feeling about Witcher, love, betrayal, conspiracies, mysteries and the best part is that it plays when everything is revealed. Thank you dtaylorutube for uploading it.
No, kiIIing Kings who wronged thousands of other people and were bad against elves is not kiIIing normal people for no reason. He only did it to get the school of the viper rebuilt again, he saved Yennefer and spared Geralt when they fought. There is no reason to kiII Letho since he doesn't want to fight with Geralt.
Letho was captured and had as much choice in serving or not as Geralt had in whether to serve as Foltest's bodyguard or not. During entire game you kill dozens of innocent people who only happen to be in your way. During La Vallete siege you kill soldiers defending their homes while on Foltest's payroll. Then you kill Kaedwenians on both paths en masse and Temerian guards in Flotsam to either free elves or when working for Roche and assassinating Loredo. I killed Henselt with Roche and then Radovid in third game. Letho saved Triss for me when I was busy killing more Kaedwenians to free Anais. In W3 in general Geralt murders tons of normal people and doesn't give a fuck. Even takes contracts for this like with Hanses. To be honest it feels hypocritical to kill Letho and by the end of Witcher 2 it doesn't matter anyway. He was just a tool, Nilfgaard openly attacks, it's obvious that they did it, everyone knows it's not you since Letho admits and only fools believed that it was you to begin with. To be honest Roche&Geralt go head to head with Letho in terms of king killing. And you get to kill Eredin too, which counts according to Letho.
The "witchers shouldn't kill kings/people" mantra really feels similar to the "witchers don't have emotions" thing. It's just used whenever it's convenient.
For my money, the real "Final boss battle" of this game is the conversation with Letho.
Fight?
@@urkern988 no, the conversation itself. Having to face the revelation of what was behind the whole story.
yeah finally it becomes more clear what all this running around for was
Made the entire game for me. I'll forever remember the conversation with Letho.
I'll ask you in forever if you still remember it.

The final moments with this booming in the background made it so worth it.

Letho did it for the survival of the Witcher school of the Snake in Gulet.
@@Hananiah70I understand kings were assholes but killing them created even more chaos. However, letting Rosche kill Henselt was great.
