    This phone is generally getting really good reviews. Sony seems to have finally dialled in the Xperia to being a true all rounder phone while giving a different user experience than other brands. Now...if Sony can just bring the damn price down and start making it available in more countries......they might actually start selling some phones.

    It might be good to show framerate/cpu/temp charts over time when you're showing how well a device performance is. It's difficult to gauge this based on vague subjective descriptions.

    So am I right in thinking then: when playing genshin off of the battery, the temperature guage (sounds weird having that in a phone 😂) was about 3/4's of the way up and orange, but when using the Heat Suppression function it went back down into the blue segment...? Or did heat suppression not lower the temps that much? Thanks 👍

    • @troy5568
      @troy5568 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The question is, what would you need a 2TB phone for? You most certainly wouldn’t keep your phone for more than 3 years, I believe, and even in 5 years of use, I doubt you’d easily fill up even 1/4 of that 2TB storage, unless you’re using your phone for pretty much everything. Realistically, 512GB is far more than enough for the vast majority of users, especially if you have the ability to expand it further with microSD card, which only Xperia offers in the flagship segment.

    I'm really getting tired of TH-camrs saying Xperia One phones have 4K resolution displays. They do NOT. Even Linus mentioned this on his Short Circuit channel during his Xperia One III review.
    16:9 4K = 3840 x 2160
    21:9 4K = 5120 x 2160 which is what Xperia One phones are SUPPOSED to have.
    Xperia One phones have 3840 x 1644 which is NOT 4K whatsoever.
    Sony REMOVED almost one third of the vertical pixels to get the 21:9 aspect ratio and they FALSELY call it 4K with their bullshit marketing tactics.
    🤣🤣🤣
    The last phones with ACTUAL 4K resolution displays are the Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZ2 Premium both which have 16:9 4K panels aka 3840 x 2160.

    • @RedstoneinventeArmoredGuy
      @RedstoneinventeArmoredGuy ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's still 4K. Or if you want 4K class display

    • @a8knots
      @a8knots ปีที่แล้ว +13

      3840 x **** is 4K
      **** x 2160 (minimum) is UHD
      3840 x 2160 is officially a "4K UHD"
      Therefore Sony isn't technically lying about the Xperia 1 series having 4K display.

      The primary difference is with the chip. Going from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to the 8 Gen 2 is actually important, because the 8G1 ran so bloody hot even when doing ordinary tasks. (This affected a bunch of phones, not just the Xperia 1 iv.) Usually I'd say picking up last year's device on a discount is a pretty good deal, but I sincerely don't think I'd recommend any 8G1 phones now that the 8G2 is available.
