I really appreciate what Cisco is doing with CML. Feedback; the Personal plan with 20 nodes it support CCNA and Personal Plus plan with 40 nodes it support CCNP; how about for CCIE ? It is a bit discouraging for people who are working towards their CCIE. Now days to lab Cisco CCIE enterprise infrastructure on Eve-NG or GNS3 it requires humongous hardware or server and of course in parallel it requires huge investment. I believe Cisco can resolve it once and for all on CML and it could save professionals who are trying to earn a CCIE from unnecessary investments and effort.
Is there a link for the instructions to setup CML in the cloud?
When will cisco security appliances such as cisco firewpower come to cml?
by any chance can we add sdwan images in CML?
I copy the new refplat to my installation and got the SD-WAN images but I don't know where to get the new IOL images. Not sure if I have to download and copy the main refplat all over again ...
Yes, iol images are in the main refplat iso file, the copy process will skip exisiting images.
Do I need to download and copy the new refplat iso when I upgrade from 2.6.1?
I’d check the release notes as CML 2.7 is available now. 😊
@@karlobobiles2968 Yes, I've checked the release note and there's no mention about upgrading process of IOL images.
I ended up manually adding the nodes from the iso image. 😗
Good point, I think you can follow the same steps outlined in “Copy the Refplat ISO to Disk” instructions from the documentation.
@@GamjaField can you outline these steps by chance? Im trying to do the same
Unclear on how to get the IOL images onto CML. You would think upgrading would have brought them into the console.
this is exactly my problem.. I am dowloading the new refplat file as well as the supplemental SDWAN one.. but not sure what to do with them
@@onewaydrive_ In the ISO file you can find "node-definitions" and "virl-base-images" First import node definition of your choice (let's say iol-xe.yaml). You can do that from "node definitions" menu in CML settings. Then upload the corresponding image file (x86_64_crb_linux-adventerprisek9-ms in this case, but you do need to add .iol extension). Next, create your own image definition and map it to previously imported node definition. If you need detailed instructions, there's a plenty of tutorials online on how to import and create custom nodes.
@@onewaydrive_ Or you can simply mount the ISO on CML VM, then use the "Copy the Refplat ISO to Disk" action from the CML cockpit. In this case every node definitions from the ISO will be imported automatically.
