In the clip it is mentiond that people can volunteer. Can someone let me know what kind of VOL work one can sign up for. I have an associate's degree in fire science and emergency management and would love to help out any way I can.

BlindShooter Declan he was referring to firefighters already in the department volunteering for the marine division specifically, but their are no volunteer positions in FDNY. With that being said, you should look into a paid position in FDNY or OEM.

Look up your counties EMA and positions available within, degree in fire science with be greatly applied to fire prevention and investigations.
