This is what I enjoy seeing from artists. Pure raw talent. Birdy is something special. She doesn't have to put on a show by wearing ridiculous clothes or performing crazy antics in order to get attention. She does it by just being her, and being extremely talented. Can't say enough how much I truly enjoy hearing her.
It wonderful how the international music industries have rallied to support her. Artist from all over the world want to perform duets with her, host are trying to book her, the most prestigious venues are willing to book this 16 year old. She is truly extraordinary.

As a massive Phoenix fan, I can't really separate the original '1901' from my mind when listening to Birdy's cover.. and since it's a song with many layers of electronic sounds and guitars, it's a bit odd to listen to it so stripped. However, her covers of 'Shelter', 'People Help The People', 'Skinny Love' and 'Terrible Love' are brilliant. Her tone of voice is the perfect shade of melancholy. How can so much talent be harvested in such a young girl!
