I run a jet with a thin riveted hull and I’m frankly scared to death of puncturing it in that river. Seeing you in a v hull with a prop keeps me going. I know the river is up quite a bit here but even some of the places up river I’ve seen you fishing are questionable to me.
Thankfully my boat drafts pretty shallow since it’s very light. That said, I definitely hit the bottom somewhat often. On my third prop in the last 6 months. I do go super slow first time I go somewhere, then follow the gps route after that. I’ve been considering this my “learning boat” and plan on upgrading this winter, so I’m not too afraid to bang it up. I was on this stretch a couple weeks ago and it got scary shallow in these same spots. Regretted it when the current whisked me over some very shallow boulders and rocked my trolling motor. Fixed it but staying away til the water is high again. Good luck out there. I dream of having a jet boat
@@GillRaker79 no doubt. I follow a similar approach but rocks don’t discriminate at 30mph. Jet is a must on most stretches of the upper Potomac that are worth fishing. Everything else around is electric only anyway.
“Get him in the boat before the other boat sees”
Proceeds to post a video of exzactly how and where he caught them 😂😂
😂at least he left me alone and went to his own spot 😂
