3:16 I Am Dragon is a great movie. Game of Thrones meets The Blue Lagoon. A princess is abducted by a dragon and taken to an isolated island and finds she is not alone on the island and falls in love with a stranger.

I don't know who to really feel for... happy for the dragon guy who finally found love or sad for the brave warrior who went halfway around the world to take on a dragon with a basic stabby-tool despite him seeing her as property he's owed (classic perspective on what a bride is in that era). I mean... it's a love story where every primary character is a bit of a monster.
She’s a soon-to-be duchess. He is owed her not because of the property thing but because of politics. Rich people live different lives that we normal people might want but would probably not agree with, and if this was real, she’d also probably have a buncha concubines after the wedding.
@@tchoythao1730 You just clarified the "it's just politics" sophistry that minimizes the damage and fixes that can be done in the real world by treating how the actual government works and the people involved... including THE PEOPLE... as some kind of spectator sport that's pretty much just entertainment, like watching some game in a stadium or on TV. Rich people are only in their own world because they can take that attitude because they have extreme isolation AND control over "just politics" relative to the rest of the world. As for the rest of us, we have to live in the real world, where "it's just politics" is just claiming how things actually affect us are different from how things actually affect us. "Just politics" is, like the historical mind virus of reality-opposing powerful religions that still do so now, is gaining ground against science/logic/reason/freedom AGAIN. Only, for generations before us, it was "just religion" and ignored as harmless while it led to all sorts of power abuses with the top violations being the Crusades, Jihads, Puritans, Spanish Inquisition, and Witch Hunts (those were mostly people with "religious authority" blackmailing ladies [especially young virgin ladies] for sex, but it did apply to just about all other power grabs). Rich (and powerful) people live in a different world by using their wealth and connected power to fool the rest of us that "just politics" (formerly "just religion") that they fund the popular scripts to and "charitably donate" (now giving them a tax break for doing that) to the right mouth-pieces to face-fart out those scripts, create the cooshy rich & powerful bubble they live in. Humans all through history have been rising up to fight those power abusers, having those power abusers fall and create a golden age for their population after the turmoil, then have them rise up to power again one way or another... the ever-eons-old same story of Rich Vs. Poor... wash, rinse, repeat. Going back to the story, every primary character is a bit of a monster. The "just politics" issue was never a small one, nor was it at all some silly notion... it was the rock-solid reality of that world they all lived in, like us in our world of the "just politics" as a small thing delusion. In classic weddings by classic rules, given the era of the fantasy movie... a marriage ritual to celebrate a marriage contract is transfer of ownership... with humans it is the transfer of a father's ownership of his daughter to another man as a borderline slave, that man is to be called her "husband" with her slave status now as "wife" with their being a family like labelling him as "father-in-law" because he's not a father but having partial father status because his daughter is now the husband's property. Marriage, in that epoch, is a trap for the lady. The only free women during that epoch are "old maids" (never married women), most become prostitutes of sorts... with concubines being the ultimate status women. They have the independent status of free women while all the power of being just as free as men, on top of often being treated better than those men's' wives. That's part of why the Middle East created further women-controlling laws, they needed to "stop the corruption (equality)" of unmarried women... harems, bound concubines, etc... I can go on but... meh... That brave man going out to rescue her probably did it for what he would gain via the marriage, not out of any real love or whatever. Again, every primary character is a bit of a monster.
Actually "in that era" the brides weren't property. This is a story based in Viking Fantasy land. Women weren't property, they owned property. A woman could freely request a divorce and a man beating his wife or raping or assaulting her (any kind of sexual advance after her denial) she could divorce him and take his property and see him publicly punished and shamed by the village. As for the story yeah don't feel sorry for him, but not because of his belief she was his property owed to him. Instead don't feel sorry for him because he only wanted her to gain a position and political power and that was owed to him because he is the descendant of a hero and oh so great (despite being an entitled pathetic coward).

A lot of people question the motivations of both Arman and Igor, since it is not clear what either one believes, or what they feel in regards to Mira. If I understood correctly, the primary character WAS a monster, but had a neglected human side too. He had come from a family of human dragons, but his loneliness had made him eventually reject his humanity, and live as the monster he thought he was. He had never known love, so to him, living as a hopeless exile was the only life he knew. Mira helped bring out the human within him, and with it, he was able to temper the ferocity of the dragon, reclaim his identity, and begin a true life as a human, and with it, all the feelings he had rejected years ago, but with the newfound emotion of love to further temper the dragon within him. For all his intentions, at the end of the day, Igor was nothing more than an opportunist, and an arrogant man who only went to find Mira so that his reputation as dragon-slayer, and as a royal wouldn't be tarnished. But even underneath all that pride, he was just a coward who never really had the heart to be a true dragon-slayer, and was only someone who usurped the title only because family tradition demanded it, his vanity needed it, and because it afforded him the opportunity to align himself with the old king. In the end, even his subordinates knew he wasn't worthy of the place he had, and definitely wasn't worthy of Mira, or even of being a dragon-slayer, which is why they kept him from killing the dragon. I think the most fascinating character is the father, who sagely discerned what was really going on, and may have been privately thankful for the dragon coming back to get Mira, since he may have had his own misgivings about Igor too.
At the beginning of Game of Thrones, whenever Viserys would complain about "awakening the dragon", I really thought all Targaryens would literally turning into dragons like Arman when they got mad.
There's a part of this movie that is missing. Mira's gilted love, Igor, finds the isle and tries to finish off the dragon and ends up killed. Then the dragon brings Mira to the altar to do to her what his father did to his mother. However, Mira looked upon the dragon and said to do it, she was not afraid, she loved him. The dragon suddenly stopped, and instead, became Armen and the two embraced. The dragon wasn't "killed" but instead, had been "tamed", by true love.
"He's a Dragon" or "He is Dragon" titled in Russian; in English titled as "I Am Dragon"; in Germany titled "Dragon: Love is a Scary Tale", is a really incredible movie! 👍
I'm going to watch it just for the ending. What do you mean he turned into a human and they shared a kiss. So he can fly as a human now? Did he just flame off and they are floating there for a second before they drop like Wile E Coyote off a cliff? I got to see what happens 🤷
He can't fly as a human. He did exactly what you said. Flamed off in the middle of the sky, kissed her and then turned back into a dragon. Only that they don't show you that last part in the movie, but it's obvious.
Maybe the reason the past brides burnt up was because there was no love between them and the dragon and it causes some kind of reaction. Only reason I can think of for why she was the only one to survive.
@@Blazing_A If I remember correctly, the Dragon children are created through a ritual only but in Mira case as they are in love, they must have done the actual deed.

The violent way of making dragons only gave male dragons, but when they made love as humans, a daughter was born. The story is not only about love but patriarchy. Male dragons didn't care about mother, only male hair- boydragon, so they didn't even try to reproduce in their human form. We don't know if they knew there was another way, but we know none of the women survived. Because Arman's dad was killed, he was free to choose and fall in love. That broke the chain of male child's indoctrination and showed him women are more than just babymakers. In a way the story is about young man's urge to find companionship and love; fighting the urge to "rape" (yes, I think the dragon burning maidens stands for violent and forceful sexual contact until a women gets pregant, carries it to term and is then- killed) woman he desires; Mira's fight against traditional ways and lesson, that change has to come from You in order to brake the cycle.
after the fireworks she wants to touch him but instead holds his sleeve i guess in case when he touches her he might burst in a Dragon...but wait moments earlier when he surprises her with the fireworks he was holding her face covering her eyes...can't tell...were they touching? her... So is it when only SHE touches HIM....OR....is it that she has to have her eyes open? that part confused me a bit but otherwise loved the movie...loved the girl..and the boy...both are beautiful.

movie was really wreally good
I've seen this movie, it was interesting and I like the Beauty And The Beast theme to it.
What?! This is so romantic 😚 and oh my gosh!! I remember seeing a trailer for this movie years ago!!😳 all this time i thought it was fan made 🤣
This is my daughter and I favorite movie. 😍
That is a real beautiful story
DRAGON: You are crunchy and I have ketchup.
after the fireworks she wants to touch him but instead holds his sleeve i guess in case when he touches her he might burst in a Dragon...but wait moments earlier when he surprises her with the fireworks he was holding her face covering her eyes...can't tell...were they touching? her...
So is it when only SHE touches HIM....OR....is it that she has to have her eyes open?
that part confused me a bit but otherwise loved the movie...loved the girl..and the boy...both are beautiful.
You never put the title of the video in the description? So can some tell me what this movie is called?
Cinematography 100%
