I really like the G2 product; however, it seems recently that there is less ink in each pen. I'd like to see a comparison for which pen has a longer life span.
I love my TUL pens. I've use both mentioned here as well as the inkjoy and I keep going back to TUL. As a lefty I appreciate that it dries quickly. I also appreciate in general that the fine point doesn't make me grit my teeth like the .7/.5 g2 does. And the ink doesn't run out on me like the inkjoy does (how does it go so fast?!) Also need to mention that in favor of the g2, those are readily available in most office supply stores or wherever office supplies are sold while TUL pens are only found at Office Depot/office max. I actually haven't looked on amazon to see if they're there but basically they're exclusive to OD/OM. I was so disappointed about that when my job ended the supply contract with office max.

I'd love to see a comparison of the Ink Joy Gels vs. the G-2's please. I love the nice rubbery feel of the Ink Joy barrels but I still prefer the finer line of the G-2 in comparable tip sizes.
I have an idea for a video: Papermate Inkjoy Gel VS Pilot G-2 VS Pentel Energel VS Pilot Frixion . Again just an idea, you don’t have to do this but it’s a thought 🙂
I used G2 for years and years. Then I discovered the Tul. I have a box of the disposable retractable gel pens. No comparison in the Tul gel and the G2. The G2 will leave ink in the pen when it stops writing. The Tul will be empty when it quits writing.
This isn't probably comparison-worthy, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the Frixion line of pens,markers,highlighters. I pretty much only use those because I automatically erase writing I don't like.. 🤦🏼♀️ until I discovered Frixions, I used pencils - Dixon Ticonderoga ONLY!!!! But Frixion has changed my life ... and I saw a highlighter in your beautiful Eggplant pocket planner video! 😍
Do the TUL ones come in different point sizes (?) i like the .5mm and .38mm Black G2 which is hard to find that fine. The TUL look cooler, but are they as comfortable in your hand when you write? seem less contoured
i prefer both get the pilot g 2 10 pens in 4 colors they don't write scratchier on the paper its more thicker its better then the point 7 version addd it to your collection and do a video comparison to the paper mate inky pens too
Compare all 3! I love G2s and I love my ink joys and I wanna know how they all stack up together! I've been eyeing TULs for sometime but am trying to reason with myself cuz I REALLY don't need more pens😂
Yes! I have the same problem. I'm trying to find something that's similar to tuls. I prefer the 0.5mm TUL and there aren't many pens that are 0.5mm and inexpensive
I don't know if I have an older G2 or what, but mine smears so bad! I hate it =( Which sucks because I think the ink is really smooth, but I just can't wait long enough to move around in my planner for mine to dry.

I was not ever a big G-2 fan because I did not feel that the barrel was super comfortable, but they are more affordable than other gel pens... I'd love to see the InkJoys compared though! Also, thank you for considering the burgle factor. My students know not to touch my pens (it's punishable by death in my classroom) but some subs have no qualms going through your shit and using (or taking) whatever they want. Burgling is always a concern.
If I was going to burgle a pen off someone's desk and my choices were TUL or G2, I'm taking the G2. TUL pens dry out horribly fast and I've never had an issue with a G2. If my immortal soul is on the line that pen better last.

Not much of a G2 fan. I know a lot of folks really like them. I think The InkJoy.05 is probably one of my favs.
I like the needlepoint TULs better but because of price, like you, I go for the G2s!

I use the G-2, 1.0 mm bold pen pretty much every day. Some days i use my Sharpie S- Gel pens.
