How do you have enough targets for Rage in the ED to keep looping it? Also, I don't think the fiend deck was that much better than the zombie deck, I think people just say that because of the Unchained cards.
@@Brimbo I mean that people look at the deck, see Unchained cards in it, and immediately think that it must be the better deck, not understanding what makes Unchained so good in the first place, since they're missing a lot of cards like the Lvl. 6s, the two traps, and stuff like S:P that you play with Rage.
A number of people saying Fiends are better but as someone who knows zombie plays, they have a higher ceiling than Fiends. If you know what to dump, you can open up the game to consistently be in your favor, and its mostly thanks to Vampire Domain's ability to be both a second normal summon and a discard option for ghost.
Based on the duels I played they're both strong enough to win, but frail to even an iota of interaction to the point you just pray you sack into enough playable engine to try an break the board. Like, across all the duels I went first on Zombies, I only dropped 1 game to another zombie player who could benefit off stealing my cards.
@TheMasterBlaze I agree that they're both good decks. They're both perfectly balanced to compete against each other without having a balance gap. I'm actually surprised they made the event as good as they did (more love and thought put in this than most "second half of the month" events)
I would have preferred venread over vampires but that's just what I'm comfortable with. I did pull off some sick vampire plays in one of my games at least.
And I would say "easier to play" is the key wording here. Unchained is a very easy archetype for fiends to learn while zombies, especially vampires, is more difficult because it requires knowing your options.

Also people complaining the zombie deck didnt have zombieworld apparently don't understand the fiend deck is unplayable into zombieworld, since half the deck locks you into fiends while everything requiring fiends anyway... Also the gimmick of the event requiring specifically fiends in your graveyard which is not possible with zombieworld on the field
He played zombies recently.. for me the biggest issue with the zombie deck was to get anything into the grave. Besides that you could make some plays with thevampires or the zombies overall but in general the zombie deck seemed more diverse to play while having trouble to find a start at all.. The fiend deck for me was just yama into rage but you'd have an atleast somewhat playable hand 95% of the time
It’s insane how much better than fiend deck is compared to the zombie one. Having even 1 rage is just too good since you can loop it every turn.

They could’ve thrown a basic skull servants deck in here. Subterrors maybe. Old school Archfiends I don’t know.

I hope they make a fusion card of these two called Halloween that works with fiends and zombies as well as their own polymerization card.
