That fact that it can actually roll is the most impressive part to me
It's suspended above the rails.
This needs to be in a museum somewhere holy cow 😮
The legendary Union pacific big boy. Amazing.
The articulation on those parts is so smooth. Its really an impressive build! Using a SNOT technique and plates everywhere to keep it smooth, but only having studs where the rivets and bolts are on the real thing is a genius idea.
I bet the cheyenne depot would love this.
As for getting it beside the real locomotive I guarantee if someone could share this video with Ed Dickens that might be able to happen
I have sent it to him, it may take him a bit.
They have a wooden version of 4014 or 4005 there and it's really impressive.
I wish my Dad and I could have seen this together. He and I spent time in Green Bay at their railroad museum seeing the Big Boy there many times. We also saw the working one when it came to Milwaukee as well. He loved to talk about this locomotive. He passed just over a year ago. He would have loved this.
Even the riveting using the studs is so smart
Definitely needs functionality (lights, smoke, sound & motors) to bring it to life.👌
Wow!! How awesome is this. So much talent 🎉
Awesome!!!! Another great train build at Legomanufaktur!
Thats a lot of bricks ❤
And a lot of money!
Incredible. It would not surprise me if either the Lego Museum or the Union Pacific would try to purchase this model.
I think Union Pacific would try and buy it
Six years of labor and million of Lego parts... this thing would have a greater value than the original (not adjusted for inflation) cost of the original locomotive.
I hope this thing is full of easter eggs, even if we never get to see them. Like two minifigs shoveling studs into a tiny furnace somewhere on the inside.
It was amazing to see in person.
Excellent job! The Big Boy must be the best and most reliable steam locomotive to ever be built and have a great amount of strength
I got to see this thing in person! It's absolutely incredible.
If he ever made this move under it's own weight, this'd be the most impressive lego build ever.
Wowza! That’s one big, big boy!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing even if you didn’t have to! This could’ve been easily underrated so thanks to BTB for highlighting it.
Holy cow, very impressive
was NOT expecting the wheels & valve gear to move!! 😯
that is amazing!!
This is plain insane. I love it!
Incredible build
Museum-quality
🚂
I saw this at Brickworld Chicago. The size is very impressive. It's hard to fathom the number of pieces and the amount of time that had to go into this build. And I was very impressed by the use of studs as rivets, in the correct pattern. There were a lot of aspects of this build that I couldn't quite figure out how he did with Lego.
Absolutely amazing!!!
Superb modelling
this build has now the legend-status for me.
What a beauty!
WoW. That is amazing!!
I don’t actually NEED this, but I NEED this
How come this never got a genesis award it should have one
Awesome ❤❤
Insanely amazing build. This guy is a genius. It's perfect.
Fantastic!
Incredible
Fun fact there’s an anime featuring the BigBoy it’s Called The Galaxy Railway
Ive watched it its a great anime
This is awesome! :D
so cool :D
If you didn't zoom in, this legit looks like one of those tiny trains you ride around for kids
This has to be the largest lego train and it is a model of one of the largest locomotives ever.
For an extra car, the water tender with the flag would be cool to see added onto it. Jim Adams I think it's called?
Oh great, now I need to go out and buy 300,000 bricks. I wonder if Lego has plans to sell this one in there stores, LOL !!!!
What a work of art, such talent.
I wish someone would make western Maryland shay no 6 the largest logging steam locomotive made by lima locomotive works
god, i want to build the DMIR Yellowstone now
there should 100% be a Lego Scale train running around the Tracks the 4014 is sitting on for scale lol
It needs a loop of track to run on!
...as the people from Lego stand there rubbing their hands in glee!
HOLY COW
I wonder what the axles are made of that it's rolling so smoothly
That's a ... big boy.
Nice railway video, Like!
Wow, what a build! I kind want to make that lol.
Nifeliz has it. It's not LEGO, but they won't make it. 1800 pcs for 70$. I'm building a lot of stuff that's not LEGO because of the content and price. All sorts of actual military, trains like the Bog Boy, jets, tanks, (T28 Heavy Tank, 2900 pcs, 120$).....The quality on these other brands has improved enough that I believe it's well worth it. Don't freak out, I'm just not a brand guy so I don't have to stick with LEGO, although I did play with them all thru the 70's and 80's till now so I respect the company.
@@1972Ray Oh okay! I have a lot of Legos and I try to build things that are train related. Thanks for telling me about that brand!
@@zenontrainstrucks9433 I use Amazon.
Ok Lego, make this set! How expensive would that be?!?! 😃😛
Nifleiz has it for $70. 1800 pcs.. If it were Lego, well, how much are kit's with 1800 pcs? I have the Lego Saturn 5. It has 1969 pcs and it's $229 on Amazon. So the Lego Big Boy would be at least $200, probably a lot more.
@@1972Ray based on $200 for 2000 pieces, the big boy would be $30,000 😮😬
😮 WOW
Short but sweet, wonderful animation. It speaks to the power of this art form that you can bring simple pieces of paper to life.
are you on the right video
Wow! 😃
Someone needs to show Hyce this
Imagine .ego produced this as a kit, for many who has everything.
Nice 👍
This is so far beyond SHIP building we AFOLs need to coin a new acronym for it, because “Seriously Huge Investment in Parts” is seriously inadequate to describe this thing. This is at the scale of the sculptures at the Legoland theme parks, except the parks’ huge creations aren’t 100% LEGO, they’re welded steel frames with LEGO exteriors. This thing is 100% LEGO including the inner structure, which massively increases the part count.
Seeing and feeling the real 4014 will always be something very special and romantic. I rode the 2021 season excursion in New Orleans, my son filmed us departing from Audubon Butterfly Park and he said the ground shaking was one thing, but being showered by cylinder cock steam was something he will always remember from that hot August 22nd in New Orleans. Trust me, it was well in the high 90’s and being showered in steam felt refreshing to him he said.
Can it move?
It may take me six years but I'd love to have a blueprint to build this myself 😂
Positively stunning! How much did it cost? Must weigh a bunch. Legos are heavy.
Can you build a polar Xpress 1:01 1:04 1:05 1:05 1:05
Since it has functioning couplers, it needs another car to couple to!
Yes, make a flatbed and put a Lego train set on it!
genius
Please let me know when I can buy one like it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ it in a kit
Where is this located?
so he made a miniture guage engine.... nice
He forgot the big boy part on the front
No words……
Make it bigger
That looks like it is slightly bigger than 1.5" scale.
You can buy it right now, it's just not a Lego kit.
He needs to build the 2 water tenders with UP Armor Yellow that always go with the big boy.
Now that's a Lego Big Boy at the price of at least twice or three times the amount of bricks., $$$$$$$$$ 900,000 to 1mil. Do you intend of building smoe freightcars for it ? No wonder black, white and grey Legos are so hard to get.
🤗😍👍👍👍👍✌🏻✌🏻😍🇵🇱
800 leappad
that wouldn't fit in my room and my room's huge.
1300 leapster
Cest quoi son poid
i will purchae ho much
d
A normal person with any common sense would just build a real one! Yikes!
Complete waste of time!
This looks illegal
Shame he built it on UK style track. An American locomotive should be on American rails. America is the best but this implies British track is better.
whats the difference in track? is it like how wide it is?
