  • Is this BIMMER that much luxurious car that it is still proudly standing way above its class competitors? Sure it is! Way above all of them, even a lot younger competitor's ones

    You have a red dot. Because when you adding automatic headlight, LCM module have another ODMETER than your cluster.

      you tell me taht, haha. I've been coding bmws for 15 years already. Instrument cluster nor LCM as well as half of the modules are not stock on this vehicle. Infact, this was an 740i originally, turned magically into 2.8i, retrofitted even with electronics 6 years newer from e39 2003 etc. I believe I could make a stove out of a bmw if wanted to :D

      As for the ABS light, it was a very big issue, almost unsolvable so I wasn't quite eager to deal with it. And about the petrol running out... I hope it is full now with the new owner since it is not mine anymore, and has changed a couple of owners since then 😊

      Well everyone have his own choice. But i had mercedes before long time ago, w140, w220 and w221 also w211 none of them good for me, to many problems with airmatic suspension.... when i got e38 then i understood what thats what i need! Bmw f01 f02, g10 g11 can not change e38

    How reliable are these cars, and how expensive to repair? I want one, but i'm afraid it might be too much for my wallet... I do have *some* auto repair experience, and a garage to use so at least don't have to go to the dealer.

    • @stevanoviclab1757
      @stevanoviclab1757  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One is sure, you get all eyes on you no matter where you are. It may be expensive to run. 7 series wouldn't stand for prestige if they didn't chew petrol, and if the spare parts could be bought at the newsagents. It is a vehicle for the bourgeoisie high on the hog no matter old or new. It'll always be so. 7 series buyer doesn't ask for costs

      you are right. A couple of extra equipment like Active cruise control (extremely rare), Sat-nav... aren't there but all in all the one is fairly equiped. thanks for your comment!

      At 01:38 when you turn the key, the instrument cluster reads "BMW Individual"
      I suppose this would only come up in genuine individial cars. Check your VIN stamp on strut tower.

      it does, but it is not individual. though I made it individual aftermaket, one could say. I sold it but while it was mine a lot of stuff was retrofitted into it, one of which is the individual message... there's a computer doing that as well as some other classy things you can see in this video...
