The e38 is one of the most elegant automobiles ever made. I've always loved the lines, so much so that I finally bought one 16 years after production ended. A touch of heaven now occupies a spot in my stable. ; - )
You see, 80s and 90s had that "tactile" feeling, things are thick to touch and to hear, and this videos is the perfect example..rich and slightly blurred footage, a rich commentary voice with a deep tone...just great, we'll never have those times back so I'm happy to have lived them (and luckily without all this modern technology that has fucked up society, relations and human interactions)

W140 S-Class was more advanced with dual pane windows and other features. The E38 BMW 7-Series was a better drivers car though. Mercedes-Benz always has the latest and greatest technology.

Sometimes one of them has technology the others don’t like gesture controls and remote parking (on the current generation 7-Series) or HVAC perfume system and heated armrests (W222 S-Class had it first then BMW copied the perfume system for their new 7-Series). The Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series are two of the finest cars in the world.

I never knew what I missed from my fourth hand 740i bimmer '97 model until I watched the videos pertaining to this legendary icon,which I bought last year August. Now that I know what the authentic muscle looks like,I know that am only owning half the car it used to be.Nevertheless am greatful for it but can't help wishing I had a hundred and fifty thousand rands to restore or buy another good one with all the bells and the whistles in original tune..so I can taste and enjoy the real thing just before I die.. For me this is the g"reatest ever" to live and die for Germany you out did yourself..I stand in ovation a million times

@Ike N BMW was the first to offer side curtain airbags in 1996, not MB. BMW was the first to offer side air bags in 1995, way before MB...
Mazda offered it only to the Japanese market, whereas BMW offered around the world...
Mercedes' CNS was only available in Japan and that was around the same time as 1994.
However, BMW' was far more advanced...
