T.O.P is someone who doesn’t follow trends but sets his own😂. He’s just unapologetically himself. He grew up in an artistic family and he himself is very into art. He views music as a way to express himself artistically in not just through lyrics and melodies, but also through visuals, concepts, and the overall vibe of his work. He looks cool and cold, but he’s very pure-hearted, sensitive, and vulnerable.
**"MADE" by BIGBANG is one of the greatest albums in K-pop history. Every song on this album is a masterpiece and a hit in its own right, whether it’s through its melodies, lyrics, or performances. The album features a diverse range of tracks, such as the energetic and powerful "Bang Bang Bang," and the deeply emotional "If You" and "Last Dance," which showcase heartfelt vocals and touching lyrics. Its global success solidified its place as an iconic piece in the music industry. What makes "MADE" extraordinary is that it’s not just an album-it’s a complete musical experience. The creativity shines in every detail, making it a perfect reflection of musical maturity and raw emotion. If you’re looking for an album that captures true artistry, "MADE" is an undeniable choice, and it’s no surprise that it’s considered one of the best K-pop albums of all time!"**
The Made album was initially released as 4 separate single albums with each letter having 2 songs each. M - Loser and Bae Bae A - Bang Bang Bang and We Like 2 Party D - If You and Sober E - Zutter and Let’s Not Fall in Love This is why they promoted for like 4 months straight in 2015. Then in December 2016 they released the Full Studio Album with Fxxk It, Last Dance, and Girlfriend. It’s definitely a crazy release schedule and I’ve still never seen anything like it which is to me one of the many reason this album is so special and unique
"Last Dance" was the original goodbye, maybe we'll see you later song. It was our goodbye to TOP before he enlisted in the military. As a VIP, when this song came out, not knowing what the future was going to hold, this was gut-wrenching. The lyrics were so beautiful, too. These were and still are great songs. CLASSICS for the future generations.
Love doing this throwback thing with you. You may check out their live performance in Tokyo Dome 2014. The best concert ever! The sound, the stage, and the audience, everything was just perfect!
It's nice to see you almost finished listening to all the songs from MADE. Yes, that era for MADE was amazing and historic, as all the songs became hits and topped the charts. I love how you already could feel the emotion of Last Dance as soon as GD opened the song and immediately paused to look for lyrics because you just had to know, LOL.
I recommend you to watch these songs next: 1-bad boy- bigbang Bad Boy is a mix of hip-hop and emotional music, standing out in the Alive album. The melody has a heavy rhythm with touches of electronic music, giving it a modern and captivating vibe. The lyrics speak about a complex relationship with the lover, where the person admits to being the "bad boy" in the relationship but still deeply in love. The song combines sadness with genuine emotions in a powerful way 2-blue- bigbang Blue is a melancholic and romantic song, one of BIGBANG's most notable tracks. The lyrics are deep, reflecting feelings of sadness and loss. The melody is slow and emotional, blending a soft rhythm with melancholic music that complements the song's theme. It talks about the sadness from separation, with the singer expressing feelings of emptiness and pain after losing someone they loved deeply 3-love song - bigbang Love Song blends sadness with the desire for love, featuring a slow and emotional melody. The song is characterized by a slow rhythm and soft vocals that highlight the depth of emotions. The lyrics speak about a complicated romantic relationship, where the singer expresses love for someone despite the difficulties they face. The song reflects the inner conflict between longing for love and facing painful reality
"Girlfriend" is a different vibe from the other songs on the MADE album. Some people love it, others find it meme material due to the chorus. I actually really like it, but I also love most things BIGBANG push out. I suggest the "BIGBANG (live Encore) 2016 0.TO.10 in Seoul" stage as there are subtitles. For "We Like 2 Party", they were posting really funny reels on their IG back then and VIPs were so confused (but definitely amused). You can see TOP filming one of those reels when they were driving in the car, making faces at his phone.
They drop 2 song every month (M,A,D,E) and finally all of them and 3 extra song in full album(Made). You can also watch Alive era. Thats also very good (blue, bad boy, fantastic baby, monster, love dust, its not fun) Or tonight era (tonight, cafe, love song, what is right, hands up) Also japanese songs are very good too like tell me goodbye, let me hear your voice, feeling, top of the world, gara gara go and so more
The MADE promo was so intense and extended partially if not mostly because getting GD to write new content was like pulling teeth. Yang Hyunsuk was pushing for a BB album in 2014, but GD was like “yeah if President Yang wants new songs he can write them himself” and between his own solo album and touring in 2013 and back to back world tours with the group he just wasn’t feeling it obviously, the guy was exhausted. They literally released like 2 new songs and went touring for MADE with maybe 2 more new songs way before the album itself was done, so to support the interest and keep the hype alive they treated every single release like a mini-album promo. The amount of shade GD was throwing left and right during that period was just… yeah, good times (no).
I didn't know that. I knew Fxxk, Last Dance and possibly Girlfriend were written later after the tour. His albums One of a Kind and Coup Detat were in 2012 and 2013, plus they were still riding high off the Alive album, and Taeyang had his year in 2014, plus Good Boy...so yeah Bigbang in 2014 would've been crazy. YG had Winner and iKON new on the scene in 2015.
@15:38 They started MADE series in April 2015. They released 1 mini album consisting 2 songs each month for 4 months (M, A, D, E). The full album was “supposed” to come out on the fifth month (which consists of all songs from the MADE mini album series plus new songs). It got pushed back due to schedules (at the time of releasing mini albums, they were also touring worldwide). MADE full album was eventually released after 1-1/2 years after the start of MADE series - released December 12, 2016. Zutter means Dope. Regarding Girlfriend ahhhh I dont wanna say anything and will just suggest you listen to it 😅😅😅 Overall, MADE album and MADE promo is an era Im so glad I witnessed!
You’re right. The Made album was a huge hit. The MADE project was released in parts, with each part coming out about two months apart. These singles were released roughly every two months over the course of 2015 and 2016, a long-awaited buildup before the full album dropped.
Zutter was inspired by T.O.P's movie at that time called Tazza 2. You should check it out. It's about the shady underground gambling scene in Korea. It's fun yet dark at the same time.
Whenever I see T.O.P.'s face, it really makes me sad. He went through so much pain. (I mean all members.) But I'm happy that they're fine and doing well.
Girlfriend is a good song but it's in an album surrounded by innovative amazing songs. It just gets lost in the shuffle. Also the response for the release of the songs were so positive the label delayed the album for a year to add more songs. So some of the songs were released in 2015 and some in 2016.
to sate your curiosity - yes, GD was really standing on that beam in the Last Dance mv, but if you watch the making of you'll see he is wearing a safety harness irl that gets edited out in post-production 😅
You should also check out some of GD's solos. I recommend crooked, a boy (with lyrics), coup d'etat (this one has been trending recently due to the political crisis in Korea lol) and untitled. But i think you might like “who you” the most. He filmed this mv with 1000 of his fans
Girlfriend was one of the last songs released from this whole MADE album cycle. So not only was not promoted as much as a result, it also didn't have an MV, so it more or less fell by the wayside. I still like it (especially the live from their concert), but I do prefer all the other songs more at this point.
TOP is my bias... More BigBang again, hhaha.. There's something you haven't reacted to yet... Like 'Monster', 'Tonight', 'Love Song', 'Haru Haru' and others.. Oh, please BigBang's reaction on Weekly Idol, all episodes of BigBang.. They are very funny..
To the new K-pop fans, for an epic story! This is a crucial piece of K-pop history often overlooked-the foundation upon which even groups like BTS, Exo, twice, Blackpink, and many other groups were built. K-pop's global domination wasn't accidental; it was forged by fearless pioneers who dared to dream big and completely reinvent the music scene. Seotaiji and Boys, H.O.T., S.E.S., Fin.K.L., Baby V.O.X., and Shinhwa-these legends were the original trendsetters, exploding onto the scene with a potent mix of hip-hop, the iconic "idol" image, and unforgettable songs and choreography. They laid the groundwork, creating the perfect launchpad for future K-pop superstars. And guess what? Kwon Ji Yong (aka G-Dragon) was there from the start, witnessing firsthand the first generation's groundbreaking impact and becoming one of its youngest pioneers. Now, let's talk about the one and only G-Dragon. His journey is unique, even among K-pop legends. Unlike most idols who emerged from rigorous auditions, Kwon Ji Yong was directly recruited by the industry-a testament to his exceptional talent recognized early on. This remarkable achievement underscores his innate abilities and the industry's prescient vision. He's the ultimate bridge between generations, connecting old-school charm with cutting-edge innovation. Kwon Ji Yong wasn't just a musician; he was a visionary, a game-changer. Long before his meteoric rise, the industry was already buzzing about his incredible talent. They actively sought him out-this kid was destined for greatness. His journey began even before his official debut with 1TYM, a hugely influential first-generation group that infused Korean music with a fresh, electrifying blend of hip-hop and R&B, paving the way for countless artists. Kwon Ji Yong honed his skills, absorbing the energy and innovation of those pioneering artists. Even in his early childhood, he displayed exceptional talent, refining his dance moves and expressions, gaining invaluable experience that would shape his future as an idol. Then, bam! He exploded onto the scene with Big Bang. He wasn't just a member; he was the creative force, the visionary leader. His influence extended beyond his own artistry; he uniquely shaped Big Bang itself, recruiting several friends to join the group, solidifying his position as a key architect of one of K-pop's most influential bands. This guy possesses unbelievable talent-it's like a superpower! He's both the brilliant mind behind the music (Kwon Ji Yong), deeply influenced by the first generation, and the electrifying performer who commands the stage (G-Dragon), a persona that became widely known in the second generation. His lyrical genius is undeniable; he crafts songs that feel instantly familiar yet completely fresh, a testament to his innovative approach to songwriting. Think of tracks like "Haru Haru," with its heartbreaking melody and poignant lyrics, or "Fantastic Baby," with its infectious energy and instantly recognizable chorus. His experience and swagger are polished to perfection, honed since early childhood. His genius extends beyond songwriting; he's a master at arranging every detail-stage choreography, musical arrangements, background visuals, even the technical support systems. He's widely considered one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time, and Korea is incredibly fortunate to have nurtured such talent. So, the first generation, alongside a young Kwon Ji Yong, built the foundation, but G-Dragon, with his roots firmly planted in that era, propelled K-pop into a whole new stratosphere. He's the ultimate proof that building on a strong legacy, combined with unbelievable talent and a visionary spirit, creates something truly legendary. He's not just a K-pop star; he's a global icon, and his story is a huge, unforgettable part of K-pop's incredible journey. He's more than an inspiration; he's a legend.
theres a sub on last dance mv and also that song was for the fans, girlfriend and if you would be nice for vibes , i love your reactions thank you so much #kingofkpopbigbang
If you wanna check out their early/debut work, I recommend LaLaLa (debut song), A Fool of Tears, and Dirty Cash. Some other iconic songs by them are Lies, Haru Haru, Stupid Liar, Cafe, Monster, Blue, Bad Boy, Tell Me Goodbye (Japanese). They also have a few English songs like Number 1 and With U. Also looking forward to the eventual leap to live performances, which really set a standard.
I think you took T.O.P into another person,SEUNGRI, who is the real freak of all five members. Just do the research, girl, before you make the judgement.
My best friend once said the TOP and GD combo is the "final boss of weird-art-besties-who-also-happen-to-be-world-famous-musicians"~~~
Taeyang+GD much better besties and musician
LMFAOOOOOO
TOP = DA VINCI
GD= PICASSO
@@ckkoocko5426what's wrong with you, people have different opinion 😂.. Chill
@@ckkoocko5426taeyang is more of a conventional pop star w great voice. GD and Top is iconic precisely because theyre weird and wacky rappers
T.O.P is someone who doesn’t follow trends but sets his own😂. He’s just unapologetically himself.

You forgot to add that in between the MADE album promotion they were also an ongoing tour + variety show to attend. It was one heck of a schedule.
Also this era is the most emotional for BIGBANG and VIPS ahead of their military enlistment.

MADE was a revolution . If BigBang promoted now like they did during 2015 Made era I doubt many of the todays groups could keep up 😊
XG is attempting it. (And they should be getting way more accolades than they are.)
Thank you! Yes, that's just TOP. People criticized his acting in Squid Game. I loved his character. It's him as a bully/villain.

In Last Dance the people with covered heads represent fans . Zutter MV is based on TOPs movie Tazza . He is an actor too .

Definetly do a throw back with Lies and Haru Haru in my opinion. There are also a bunch solo and duo songs that you need to watch.
KING OF KPOP❤️🔥👑🛐
Thank you again, I love your Bigbang reactions so much!
I hope you get better soon
Please continue ur process of watching the mv and then the live performances. I think ur doing great!

I think you took T.O.P into another person,SEUNGRI, who is the real freak of all five members. Just do the research, girl, before you make the judgement.
Take a chill pill. T.O.P.s a freaking Weirdo and we love him for that. It’s not meant to be disrespectful. Also this has nothing to do with Seungri
love how ha ters want to tell others to do their research when you always avoid official sources and believe the fairy tales of problematic channels.
