G-Dragon of BigBang is credited with inventing the first official K-pop lightstick,which he designed to help his fans stand out in the crowd.
The lightsticks,called Bangbong,were designed to set BigBang fans apart with their shape as well as their color.
Trust me when i say the other boys is just as adorable as GD because it's what they are. You have to do your own research to know them more instead of hearing about them from people talking about them because not everyone is a nice person online. I'm glad that there's alot of new fans lately

The same thing happened to me, since Power, I have seen videos about GD from his past performances, and about Mama this year, and I have been strangely obsessed with him💖💖, and getting to know the band more in depth, even though there are currently only three members in the group

I'll fill you in on why he took so long to come back as an artist again so this might be too long but i hope you understand.
So in 2015 Bigbang released an album(MADE) and they were very busy with their schedule that they don't have any rest on top of having tour in between their releases and guesting on variety show. This goes on till the following year and coincidentally 2016 is Bigbang's 10th anniversary and once again they did a tour in 2016.
Bigbang's activity stopped after 2016 as they are preparing for military with one of the members already went to the army but for GD he continued releasing music + tour in 2017 before he went to military.
But this however took a toll on him that i think he got a burnout during tour, this one you can refer to his documentary called Motte documentary. You can watch it.
He then went straight to the military after the tour has ended and when he was in the military he wasn't having a good time there as well. His private information got leaked and alot of stuff happen when he was in the army.
So after that in 2019, he was discharged from the military but he had to lay low abit because there's a big scandal involving one of the Bigbang members(that member retired from the entertainment industry). So Bigbang basically took a break for 3 years up until Still Life which was released in 2022.
After Still Life was released, another member decided to leave the group and pursue another career in acting. So now there's 3 of them left.
Last year GD was supposed to release new music in 2023 but then someone accused him of taking drugs with 0 evidence and everyone in the media were piling on him. He even went to the police station voluntarily and do every test possible to prove his innocence. All of the results were negative and the public somehow turn the boos into applause. That's why he released "Power" because it's actually calling out the media who tried to witch hunt him last year. This is why he and the group took so long to return, military + scandal + last year witch hunt.
I did watch Taeyang in Sydney. It was like a flashback of memories from when I was younger. It was the best concert I’ve been to in recent years. 😭
Daesung has been loved for his excellent wit since he was 20 years old, appearing on famous Korean entertainment TV shows (also starring Yoo Jae-seok, who is called Korea's national MC). Usually, my parents didn't know much about idols, but everyone knew about Daesung.

Yes Daesung is very quirky, I got slowly into the whole Korean entertainment through a variety show called family outing season one where he is one of the main cast, I would say he has been quirky, funny and endearing since waaaay back then (started airing 2008)
bigbang was supposed to comeback in 2020 Coachella but you know covid happened, and ever since then GD's been active but not in the music industry he's more active in the fashion world, his own brand (peaceminusone) released 4 shoes collaboration with nike, and he's attending fashion event etc, but yea now he is back and the album is coming soon!!!!
G-Dragon took a 2-3 year break after his military service because he had been living his life as *"G-Dragon"* ever since he was 13 years old and as a child entertainer at 6 years old he had never lived his life as just the person *"Kwon Ji Yong."* Another reason why he took a longer break is because of the very controversial scandal (Burning Sun) of former BIGBANG member Seungri, following that was the drug scandal which he was proven clean from drugs, and the 3rd reason why is because he recently became a college professor.
And I can't believe I've waited 7 years for their comeback 🥹🙌🤌

When Suga from BTS interviewed Taeyang on his show you could really see the impact of BigBang on the next generation. BTS is the biggest group in the world and he just turned into a 13 year old fanboy for an hour.
you need to react to their songs, especially GD's solos! you can also watch the Weekly Idol episode of BIGBANG, it was funny😂
tbh we don't really know why the long hiatus, so at this point all the so called reasons online are just speculations. all we know is during his final tour (act motte III prior enlistment which lead to his 88months hiatus) he opened about dedicating almost all of his life living as the persona known as g-dragon and having had only the early 4-5 yrs of his life as kwon jiyong (given his entrance into entertainment industry began at the tender age of 5/6). the way he expressed that was with regret and he said that he wants to go find himself. so he did, for 88 months in total (that number is deliberate on his part, that sly dragon)
but he wasn't totally gone, he did came back with bigbang on 2022, hence still life, then he released a cover of elvis's can't help falling in love in the same year and musically, that was it - at least that featuring him in the forefront, not really sure about his involvements in production. he was also involved a lot in artistry and painting; expanding his brand peaceminusone resulting in various collaborations. the most notable being with nike which honestly took off so well, sneakerheads started questioning about who he is.
fella is multitalented, hardworking and apparently, there is no such thing as just resting without him making millions in the side, so to say he was gone is not accurate because he is always there; we just gotta know where to look ;)
