  • Just a snapshot of my home and village.
Yesterday I walked past three rats on the street. The tourists have gone,so the rubbish to eat is gone. It is a yearly pattern, now they come looking for bird food, fallen fruit and recycling.
The rats looked healthy, with shining eyes. They are in a holiday home garden, next to a house where
    the owner spoils the birds.
The soot on the windows, nothing to be done. No strong clean air act in Wales it is different in England, with only dry wood allowed and fines for visible smoke coming from chimneys -£300.
The barge dwellers are not happy, wood burners keep them warm. A relative told me it is being enforced in the South West of England. So the barges are moving.
I made a mistake. Woodburner bans will be for settlements larger than two hundred houses, using the model adopted in Scandinavia. This is an unconfirmed opinion trending throughout the web.
    Plenty of fruit around.
    Weather hot enough for t-shirts.
Well done to the Furnace villagers.
    All the best,J.
