Husband and wife. 😍♥️♥️ Marty’s been playing since he was a kid. He started playing mandolin for Lester Flatt when he was only 13. He’s played with Johnny Cash and so many others and is the original superstar from Philadelphia, Mississippi, same hometown as Hardy. I’ve always said the two best things out of Philadelphia are Marty and Hardy! Y’all did Earl Scruggs and friends Foggy Mountain Breakdown a while back, with Marty playing mandolin. You gotta check him out with Travis Tritt and The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’ Anymore, This One’s Gonna Hurt You, and some rockabilly with his Hillbilly Rock. ♥️
I like Marty Stuart. He used to (and still might) have a tv show. He would have musical guests on the show. Connie Smith was on pretty much every episode I watched. I feel like he could sing and play anything. One of my favorites from him is a duet with Travis Tritt “Double Trouble Coming Down “. They have other songs together also.
You guys asked for information on Hank Sr and the Blues. You can start here if you'd like. Hank Williams Jr “Tee Tot” Tribute to Tee Tot and Hank Williams - this is on this site and more will follow at your convenience.
So my parents were married in 1988 and the church they were married in had a video camera in the sound booth and the photographer recorded the ceremony for them. It's cool because every year growing up we would sit down as a family and watch it. One of my favorite parts is when my Dad surprised my Mom with a song he had written for her. It's a beautiful, positive love song about their relationship and his excitement to finally marry her after being engaged for 3 years due to schooling and distance.
Great reaction! It’s good to hear a positive song about healthy relationships. I’m still in Texas but I hope the Glühwein reached you guys. Sorry, that it arrived a bit late. Hope you guys had a great Christmas and a good start to 2024. And I loved those back to back reactions.
Great observation on this being a song about a healthy relationship. There are so many songs about breaking up or one person staying when the situation is toxic, and they are great songs that can be relatable. (We all been there, done that, in the not great relationship, so yeah, the tragic love songs are relatable) But it is nice to also have the happy feeling song.
Sorry, I just looked it up and it’s just called “Double Trouble “. I’ve heard it a million times from my playlist and was singing the lyrics in my head.
You should check out some f his more rocking songs "Tempted", "Burn Me Down", "Kiss Me I'm Gone". Also he did some great duets with Travis Tritt - "The Whiskey Ain't Workin' ", " This One's Gonna Hurt You "
When you guys get time, you should look into Teddy Swims!! He is another chris stapleton and he's awesome. The song I think he is known for most is called "Lose Control".
Good reaction, didn’t expect to see back to back drops, but good surprise. Hope you guys had a good Christmas and get plenty of Bourbon gifts and didn’t celebrate New Years by drinking it all 😂😂😂
LOL, all our friends and family know about this channel, and I'm pretty sure they assume we have no shortage of bourbon. I did not get a single bottle over the holidays. BUT! I did get a whole box of nice cigars to go with the bourbon. So that works really well. - Keith
The music and vocal delivery was straight Southern Gospel. This really reminded me of a Bill Gather song. Your right tweek the lyrics slightly and I could totally see any number of Southern Gospel groups singing this.
Hey I noticed y’all had reacted to Brad Paisley’s “Policeman” I thought it high time y’all reacted to one of his Rocks songs “Moonshine in the trunk” If yer gonna do Brad, do him right! 🫡

Marty met Connie after one of her concerts. He was 11 years old. He told her one day he was gonna marry her. Eventually he did.

Great message. Thanks for reminding me of the Crow song, because I had forgotten to download that.
My favorite Marty Stuart song is one with Travis Tritt Called “The Whisky ain’t working anymore”
Great reaction.

Marty is mostly Bluegrass. A Maestro on the Mandolin, he began touring with Lester Flatt at about 13 yoa

Marty and Connie are married. She is 17 years older than him. They married in 1997.
Another song that can fit as a love song or Gospel is Hank 3’s Calling your Name.

Marty and Connie have been married a long time. Although Connie is much older than Marty, they both grew-up at the Opry…destined.
And when they first met when he was a teenager, he said he was going to marry her someday.

Is Marty still doing his show?
I was unaware he even had a show. - Keith
It ran from 2008 to 2013. Loved that show.
I didn't get a harumph out of him.
