Hey guys, I enjoyed your reaction! First time watching the channel. I’m 53 years old, born’n raised as country as it gets. Country folk are simple, we do what we have to and keep to ourselves, for the most part. But we would give you the shirt off our back, if need be. It’s just how we were raised. I’m glad you liked the song, it’s an anthem for us hillbilly’s. I would recommend, you react to, The devil went down to Georgia, by The Charlie Daniel’s Band. I think you will thoroughly enjoy it. Merry Christmas to y’all, stay safe and God bless. ✌🏻❤️
Also as a Bostonian I was raised country but lived in the city but it's the truth u can't starve us out of make us run cause we will fight back and survive
Born and raised in rural West Virginia. I can agree with this song. I was taught to hunt fish and farm at a young age. If everything crashes I'll still eat. And defend my property.
Loved watching you both react to this classic :) A country boy can survive, but let's not forget about us women! We can cook anything from scratch, raise a family, fix just about anything that's broke, keep a clean house, work a job and keep their men happy. It's all about working together as a family unit. Wishing you both love, peace and blessings!
For those who feel the need to inject race here... I'm a country boy from Tennessee. The most country kid in my school wore a Co-Op hat, had a belt buckle the size of a car hood, wore boots and was black as all get out... Country aint about color, it's about community
I live on 150 acre farm .. my man, the chickens and the dogs..the kids r older now and have their own lives. Life is good here on my dirt road. It's a 1/2 hour to get to a grocery store... I'm good with it... Not saying I don't put my makeup on every morning.. I'm not an animal.. lol... I don't feel right without my mascara at least.. but I'm not in anyway shape or form a city girl.. but I still want to look good for myself and my man... Country girls can survive too.
Most of us country boys are raised and molded around this song. Fishing, hunting, farming etc.... "Yes ma'am and Yes sir" is a way of life in Tennessee. We take care of our own and always open the door for a woman. Country boys are tougher than shoe leather.
I have to say the part where he says "... if you ain't into that.. we don't give a damn" is so true. We help each other in our community but if you ain't like we are and different that's your prerogative. Basically.... do you I'm a do me💯 Awesome reaction!!❤❤❤
Just for the record where I live there is plenty of diversity in the country boys out here. We all have to survive and even different boys get together when it's tough.❤
I seen Hank Williams Junior and Lynyrd Skynyrd years ago at legend Valley. Hank got so tore up on whiskey he was passing out in the middle of his set sitting in the chair playing guitar on stage! It was a wild one! The good old days!
People from smaller towns tend to be close knit. They care about each other and take care of each other. In bigger cities they just don't do that as much. When a disaster hits, it's the country folks with their boats and big trucks that can get to people and help them. My mother and her boyfriend were rescued from his house during a hurricane by a family nearby that had a canoe and a jacked up truck that could drive through the flooded streets where anyone else couldn't. My truck couldn't have gotten to them without me being swamped. They got them out to a main road where I could pick them up and take them to my place.
I'm a country boy and yes this is all true. I've been called a Hillbilly and see that as a badge of honor. While those who call me that think its an insult lol the jokes on them.
Shout-out to all the country folk like me I'm 16 and we live on our family farm in Tennessee with 200 acres of tobacco the field is not usable bc of it being winter but we own in total 100 guns of all types and calibers we also have a still for whiskey
Although Hank Williams Jr. never knew his father (he died very young), he certainly inherited his talent. A song that holds up just as well now as it did when it was first released. If you haven't heard Hank Williams Sr. "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" in a while, it's on y/t. Happy New Year & thanks for playing this one!
I'm 25 and lived in Missouri from age 5 to 22. Learned to hunt anything from rabbits and squirrels to deer, ducks, geese, and turkeys. Fish from the bank for catfish, crappie and bass, trap raccoons and beaver. Grow your own vegetables. Country boy can survive haha
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! Just started the video! Also Lil Bit said she wanted to hear anything 😅. This song was released in the early 80s and it's even more revelant today.
I am from south Alabama and live outside of the cities and towns, it is the safest place I can think of, neighbors know each other and I would say most of us dont worry about crime. there is no crime out here, you dont pull into a driveway if you dont know the owners if you dont want to look down the barrel of a shotgun. And there are alot of wealthy people out here that are the same way. I could never live in a big or small city.
Greetings from Texas! Great reaction but, at around the 7:47 mark she says you can’t walk around the city with a rifle anymore……….. I don’t know about other states but in Texas we can openly carry any weapon (basically).
My Uncle Priest was like that from Northwestern Arkansas. He lived off the White River, He ran Trout lines, catching Fish. Skinning and Grilling the Fish that he caught. He could catch a deer, Kill, Skin and cook Without a Problem. Basically what im saying is this..... A Country Boy like my Uncle before he passed on knew how to live off the land and take care of himself and his family. My Aunt cooked her own Eggs that was hathered in their Chicken coops that ghey had at their home. Where it says thet Hank would shoot the guy that killed his friend. My uncle Priest, Tou came messing around his home and he didnt know you. He wouldnt hesitate to greet you with a 12 gauge or one of his hunting rifles and find out what you thought that you were doing on his land so yes A COUNTRY BOY CAN Survive
This is the first time I've ever heard this tune (or the artist tbh, though I have heard some Hank Williams before, guessing it's his dad?). I'm in the UK though, so that may be why. Either way, it was really enjoyable, very catchy
That little Shorty next to you is cute....I think the point is that we can ALL be country. You could take "shorty" out to where you used to live and she would be turned into a country girl.
Hank Williams JR has an amazing catalog of music, but I only see reactions to this song and Family Tradition...and just recently. Great songs for sure, but he has better ones.
@livefreeordie4586 I hear what ur saying brother but I dont want to jump to a conclusion so fast & have her already condemned in our thoughts. I believe she is uneducated on fire arms based on the one comment but it could have been a stumble of words. Or even if she doesn't have knowledge of guns, it's ok. It's not required. Some people in some places of country simply don't have them & have never been tought. That isn't their fault nor is it wrong. I understand, probably u & myself have been brought up with guns being in close reach almost everywhere we have gone since we have been 7, 8 yrs old for some. Our parents taught us to respect them as a tool, also if used incorrectly we had to know the dangers. They exposed us & tought us. We now as adults are very comfortable with them. They are part of the environment of what is our homes. But many do not grow up that way. We have to remember that. And it's not worse nor better, it's just different than us. And being naive about them shouldn't mean they want us to not have our guns. Some people do think like that, but I can't assume that. I didn't hear her say that. Being naive just means u havnt been tought yet. I'm sure she has interests that she is very good at & I know nuthing about. And we have to remember, even if her views are of what u mentioned. If we can show by example. And have understanding, and teach. Then they might see like we do? We have to give people chances. Chances to learn. Chances to be wrong & then more chances to possibly change their minds. I feel everybody is so eager to condemn & wanting to be harsh. Not saying you was that brother, but if u been paying attention u know what I'm talking about. We are all supposed to be on the same team. Our individual rights are for everyone. Not just those that we are comfortable around. & Nobody Ever has to nor should they, ask for permission to use their rights or be whoever they are. That all anybody should be, is who they are. That's the best anybody can be. Sorry bout the book I wrote here. But I had a thought & saw a opertunity.
They just need information. The fact they are reacting to this song is a good thing. Yes a .45 is a handgun. He even made the gesture with his hand. Country people carry hand guns all the time too, just FYI for anyone thinking otherwise. We are always ready to defend ourselves. Central Kentucky here…
This song is awesome but then Jason aldean comes out with a song called try that in a small town, which has a similar messege and he gets vilified and called a racist

100% been learning in those woods since I was 5 in West Virginia

Country folks will survive, because they dont rely on anybody but themselves! Dependency creates weakness!
Loved watching you both react to this classic :) A country boy can survive, but let's not forget about us women! Hell yeah!! ........is there like ,a network, where y'all could find me a girl up here in Canada ?! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
It is because of these men that we are willing and happy to do all we can for them.
Wow, you can do all that and still have time to comment on here..
@65cj55 Absolutely 💯! It's called multitasking. Believe it, or not, women are capable of that.
For those who feel the need to inject race here...
I'm a country boy from Tennessee. The most country kid in my school wore a Co-Op hat, had a belt buckle the size of a car hood, wore boots and was black as all get out...

Don't forget us Kentucky Boys!
I'm not a boy, but... NC boys, too!! ❤
Life in the country may be *SIMPLE,* but it's not *EASY.* Trust me, there's a difference
💯. Simple Values. Hard Work
Y'all are so damn young. Proud your listening to stuff outside your box
I have to say the part where he says "... if you ain't into that.. we don't give a damn" is so true. We help each other in our community but if you ain't like we are and different that's your prerogative. Basically.... do you I'm a do me💯 Awesome reaction!!❤❤❤
This song right here…this my JAM!

I'm a country boy and yes this is all true. I've been called a Hillbilly and see that as a badge of honor. While those who call me that think its an insult lol the jokes on them.
The joke definitely is on them when the time comes
Born and raised in Alabama, this is a staple song .
That dude looks like he fell into his tacklebox.. LOL..
Thank your young generation for keeping it real ❤
Another great reaction my dude 🤘🤘 I love seeing the younger generations appreciating the classics
Some people consider this the white man blues. He’s one of the best country blues singers you’ll find.
love the land and it will love you back cast seed
I just want them Gucci glasses he is wearing! looked everywhere and them are antique.

Country music never ages. It’s real life so, always relevant. The only genre that age of Artist never matters.
This is the first country/rock song I ever liked back in the day. I'm 58, so I remember when it came out. 💜
Country State of Mind
This was great! Awesome song and Nice reaction!
This song is still relevant today!
Aww the female is adorable and the dudes piercings are cool as fuck

I am subscribed, you 2 are amazing, much love.
Going to plant my tomato seeds tomorrow.
You come to the south and take a ride during hunting season. If you don't have a weapon one will be assigned to you. True story.
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! Just started the video!
Also Lil Bit said she wanted to hear anything 😅. This song was released in the early 80s and it's even more revelant today.
I haven't even watched any of your reaction, But your pod cast title and intro had me laughing! Still am! Bring it on!
The person getting shanked sound effects were probably to most adorable portrayal of abject violence in history!
Cool beans what a story 😊
'oh was I supposed to say that again?' lol, she's cuter than a butter bean.
Shit! In AZ we carry that thang every where
Good job y'all
Alot of fun watching you kids. See the real Southerners.
Prophetic
That "shanked" sound effect was life😆

Absolutely. If more folks carried their rifles in the city, people would be a lot more amicable.
Dude it was a racist comment like I just pointed out. Turns out that I'm the only one who's got the balls to call em out on it.
My Uncle Priest was like that from Northwestern Arkansas.

Boy's don't cry - I wanna be a cowboy
Living off the land is what you’re thinking
What a cutie!
The sad part that young female had no emotional response to the death, the media has taught her to treat death as normalized?
When shit breaks down 😢. y'all wish I had a country boy to help y'all.
Fuck a city 😂.
Us country boys couldnt survive without country girls
Man look like he fell face first in my fishing tackle box. Lol
Good one Larry LOL 👉🏾
🤘🤘
Pity the fool that tries to shank Hank Jr., don't shank Hank.
Just so you know. If y'all don't vibe. If y'all ain't down with it. Be real 😅

That little Shorty next to you is cute....I think the point is that we can ALL be country. You could take "shorty" out to where you used to live and she would be turned into a country girl.

His moms name was audrey look at the name of that tug boat
Don’t think money always going to be there. That’s the point.
A .45 is a hand gun .
Young lady, there are many states. over 20 that you can carry hand guns to protect yourself
Not spend money, actually not have to rely on money which makes for a lot less confrontations and disputes
should also check out Demun jones Krizz Corn field on Fire!!!
Have You heard Family Tradition
Could y'all play "Yffrth' dr,nrll, Uhh'nruff" from the Besteat and Eternal and Bestest Old ONE F'nurgch,l'l'-aghach?
If not, Hank Jr is cool
You can see his friend getting murdered in this video
Hank Williams JR has an amazing catalog of music, but I only see reactions to this song and Family Tradition...and just recently. Great songs for sure, but he has better ones.
I find it interesting that she thinks a .45 is "rifle"?
Scary and people like that are the ones saying guns are bad 🙄

Check out Ray Stevens Mississippi
This song is awesome but then Jason aldean comes out with a song called try that in a small town, which has a similar messege and he gets vilified and called a racist
For the record a .45 is a pistol, not a rifle.
Just saying, don't bring that shyt to our small towns! We hold our own!!!
Lynyrd skynyrd, that smell
