I like the Forage Harvester + Forage Trailer combination, multiple steps in one pass

If you get a semi trailer with a dolly, it will allow you to turn better with your forage harvester. Also in my game if you cut grass after the trailer is full, you can leave the pipe out and when you unload it will just spit it in the trailer. If you fold the pipe in it gets rid of the grass in the forage header.

I use a Tractor with a large mower in front, with a wagon you using behind it to pick up the grass as it is cut. It cuts all grass, on field and beside it. Then drop if off at the Grass dryer when full. Can't zig zag or you will leave stuff on ground.

If you do go back to using mowers to cut the grass, put them on swath mode, pick it up with the forage wagon and put that in the grass dryer. Still only 2 times round the field instead of 4.

I have noticed in the past that if you use the mower head you lose yield. If you mow it with your tractor and mowers, then use a pickup header on the forage harvester your yield should go back up.

based on driver53 video if you harvest grass every 2 months for a total of 5 cuts a year will yield more then letting it fully grow and only getting 3 cuts a year

Where you getting over 300,000 yield in hay off the grass field? There could be a difference in yield between hay and silage. Just asking.

Why are you adding silage additive to the grass if you are just making hay? And in doing so is that effecting your total grass production totals?

The silage additive increases the volume of cut grass, thereby subsequently increasing the amount of silage that is made.. I suppose the assumption is that your going to turn the grass into silage, but whether you are making silage, or hay, the additive is still added at the cutting stage for increased grass volume.

Maybe you used the wrong additive you said you added silage additive should you of used Grass additive
