Just found this and I've just started looking into using forage harvesters and wagons. I saw the headers showed usage for grass and tried a forage harvester on the mowed grass but it didn't pick it up. Watching this I see I need to windrow it. Thanks again for a great video.

What about straw??? I was hoping to get a forage harvester and use a modified trailer to put straws in. I accidentally grew barley instead of soybean... Trying to make the most of it. Mow grass is great. Not so much with straw.
For straw I'd recommend a forage wagon, or look up the "Milling Machine" in ModHub. Either work great for straw.

I didn’t know the forage things could be used to pick up the grass off the ground because when I mow my lawn it looks ugly after because of the piles of grass
Does growth stage affect how much chaff do i get? Do i get more when its dark green (on the map) or do i get the same amount no matter the growth stage?
Hi Qubk0. It doesn't. You can cut your crop in the final growth stage only (I misspoke in the video, I think) and when it's ready to harvest. Each stage gives the same amount of chaff. Thanks for the question!

what trailer/wagon are you using with the forage harvester?
You find that trailer under sugarcane technology it’s a sugarcane trailer and that you have to manually tip.

Is there a header that will pick straw of the field and turn it into chaff
Not that I'm aware of. In the real world, this would be very unlikely to happen - that's probably the biggest reason. In the FS19 world, it's possible that you could find a mod out there that would allow it, but I haven't seen one myself.

Can I hire a worker to pick up the grass on my field in a forage harvester
That harvester in the first minute of the video, I bought it and it won't hook-up to any trailer. Why?

I'm sorry to hear that. The second header I used clearly indicates in the shop that it mows grass. Unless you were referring to some other header.
Looked this up cuz my harvester was almost struggling to push the header.
You'll have that sometimes. It usually means your header is too big - or your harvester is too small (not enough horsepower).
Where is the trailer
Why can’t they use a forager to harvest good wheat
Unless you need massive amounts of chaff, a waste of money
As I always say, it’s your game, play it your way. That’s the great thing about a sandbox.
