    I joined PF about a month ago. Walked by this area plenty of times then decided to try the ropes wondering what everything else did. It's really too bad that PF doesn't have YOU on its website to help explain things to its own customers! The app is ok but some might like the computer to see better with maybe taking notes and such. TY. Keep up the good work.

    Could you please explain the weight on the cable machine in the section? I’m confused as to what weight I am using. For example, on one plate is says 7.5 on each plate….so does that show lbs or kg…and does it mean I’m lifting 7.5 or is it 15? I’m confused.

    • @KevTheTrainer
      @KevTheTrainer  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi, E! I understand the confusion. It’s a little strange that they list the number twice. Lifting the 7.5 - 7.5 plate is 7.5, not 15.
      Each plate is 5 pounds (with the exception of the top, since it’s a half plate weighing 2.5 pounds). So it goes 2.5 -> 7.5 -> 12.5 etc.
      Hope that helps!

    • @KevTheTrainer
      @KevTheTrainer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, Paula. I’m not sure when these were first introduced, but I’ve noticed that some of the locations that didn’t have them before now do! As functional fitness gets more prominent, it’s likely something they want to standardize.

  • @rotekkable

    you know these are serious pieces of exercise equipment. Like you can get straight up get ripped off of Calisthenics alone but having these is substantial. Maybe one day PF will do away with their lunk alarm and bring in more free weights. With that being said everything I've seen of planet fitness so far shows enough equipment to get not only strong and fit but seriously big with the right diet. Mind you I'm talking about bodybuilding and not powerlifting.

    Submitting our “separation” from Planet Crowdness here in Howell, MI, today. Bench availability in the DB area is a joke. Sure, lots of cute purple machines and cardio equipment out the wazoo, but that is all that’s (usually) available. Their business model is to cater to the “deer in the headlights” newbie and also those who don’t return but are too lazy to submit their separation and keep on paying…. Not gonna miss that place!
