I just got a Turbo Levo Expert and haven't really set it up yet, so this was a great video that helped me understand the functions better than the manual. For me, I'm a turbo lover and always want to ride turbo mode. I've been riding mountain bikes for over 30 years and for me, pedaling is what I like the least about riding. I don't ride because it's good for me, I ride because I love the riding. If riding was bad for my health, i would still do it. I know the idea of adjusting the mode is to get the most out of your battery, but I just want all the power I can get, because it's so damn fun. I've only done 2 short rides so I don't know the range of my battery for how and where I ride. I know I can't ride in turbo all the time, and I'm going to have to learn how to make these adjustments. But for now, I can't imagine dialing back the power 😅
Great Job Sam. Could you do a video on how to pair a SRAM AXS with the Master Mind/Mission Control? I heard the Master Mind will show you what gear you're in on the display.
Nice Camino appearance on Embn, great exposure, you owe them a 🍺🍺or two ,Keep them info coming love all the tech u have been providing lately, Cheers Mate, Herron W.A.
Hey Sam just picked up my new Levo on Saturday, all thanks to your super videos , will definitely look into the mission control app ? Keep up the super work 😀
Brilliant Sam 👏..I’ve had my full fat Kenevo a while now and never bothered to have a go at a tune up ,always been happy ..but after watching this I thought I would have a play ….stuck it on 60 % Acceleration Response and settled for 40 % ..WOW. It makes a huge difference ..well chuffed …Brilliant channel you have mate …carry on the good work ..love it 👍🇬🇧
Yo Boggy Big Pants 👖 I’m really happy to hear that mate I really really love Mission Control and I like you never really played with it that much but definitely worth it and thanks for the kind words on the channel sooooo much work but I love it!
Thanks a lot Sam. The best explanation I have found so far about support/peak power. Just note that Nm measures torque, not power. So a 50% support with 100% peak power provides 265 watts of additional power to the pedals (for a 530 watts motor), right?
Thanks mate I tried really hard to explain it so everyone could understand it and you have just confused me haha 😂 I know torque is not power but it was the best way to explain it I think.
Good job Sam, tell me, can you connect the one heart rate monitor to two devices. Ie Mission control app and the my zone app at the same time? how about testing some add on anti theft devices for another video.
I purchased the Lego SL Turbo in April 2021. The display on the tube is an older version and curious if you know if I can swap it out for the new Mastermind TCU. Would be great to be able to monitor Candace, Power, Heart Rate, etc without having to mount my phone on the handlebar. Always learn a lot when I watch your videos. Thanks
Thanks Dan unfortunately the new TCU isn’t available to buy aftermarket I’ve heard it could have to do with the worldwide shortage of chips. It might change in the future but not sure.
buddy fab ch from europe how come i do not have the accel response or shuttle modes on my mission control app i have noticed this on many vids ( you are the go to bloke first)
Hey man, i know this vid is over 1year old now but i hope on a reply! i currently have a turbo levo HT comp but i might wonna sell him and buy me a turbo levo comp (full sus) the reason being that i have a really bad back (hernia etc etc) But i mainly use my bike on the normal road. (i just like the MTB model/look i really dislike the road bikes ) Should i keep my HT ? Or will the switch be a good idea? love the vid!
Hey mate thanks for comment, I personally find full suspension ebikes a lot more comfortable than Hard Tails maybe you should go to your local specialized dealer and test a full suspension and see also tell them you have a bad back it might be better to size down and get 40mm riser bars it will sit you up higher on the bike and be better for your back.
Hi Sam, Good explanation 👌. From the shop was my new Levo set at 2000mm Wheel Circumference. Is guess if you set it higher, your speed is correct but your bike goes slower?
What updates do you think we will see on the mastermind? I thought there was going to be some sort of anti theft feature. It would also be good if we could upload gpx files then there would really be no need for a garmin.
Hey Sam are you getting a 2022 rail to test? I'm interested to hear your opinion on it. I'm also an Aussie who lives in Europe and I've noticed something a little frustrating, the RRP in EUR for the rail 9.8 is like $2k AUD more than what you pay in Australia for exactly the same bike! Thanks!
Hey mate I’m not sure that’s going to happen but I don’t think it’s that different is it? Longer but pretty similar geo oh and a bigger battery I’m sure it will ride like the next size up I personally think 490 is too long for a trail bike in a large
@@SamsBikes thanks for the reply, yeah I just checked in case I had it wrong but it's true. Rail 9.8 XT on trek au site is $12299 and on Trek Italia it's €9099 which is $14080 at the current exchange.
Hey Sam! Great videos! Two questions: 1. What is “radar” in the settings? 2. Can you change to 12 hour time format or does it only display 24 hour format? Thanks!!
Now I am used to my Mission Control, two things: 1} The alarm sound is pretty useless, so quiet - I was expecting that the alarm would sound on my phone. 2) Is it possible to orientate the map, so that is shows the ground in the same direction as I am travelling in? Some points to update, development team!
I had this display on the TCU “no battery” 3 times on a demo bike, until the bike worked. The sealing against water is so good it traps air. Press hard on the battery cable plug (magnet) you have to dispel the air, try wiggling a little side to side, as you need to break the seal, keep doing it then try and turn bike on until it works
Why do they have support and peak power? I don't think Support is the percentage of the peak power. Otherwise Support would be percentage of percentage, right?. In other words, what does 100% support mean?
Peak power simply limits the maximum output of the motor. 50% peak power limits motor to 125 watts (250 watts is full power). Support is how much assistance based on your effort. If you are putting out 100 watts and support is 70% motor will add 70 watts to your 100 watts.
The feature where you log onto the specialized website and collect a million-and-a-half data points on your ride is the very definition of too much information. I don't even use a bike computer!
Finally got a 2023 Specialized Levo SL with Mastermind. Had to watch your excellent video again to get the skinny on the Mastermind...painlessly...LOL
Your settings made my bike ride so much better. Thank You!

Hello Sam, greetings from Brasil. What is the difference between the motor brose 2.2 for 2.1 in the turbo levo bikes?
thanks that was great....good information and clear.
I’m glad you liked it Damien
The very best tutorial on You Tube. Thanks, Sam!
Thanks bro! I really appreciate it took me sooooo long to work out a basic way to explain this amazing app.

50% support provides 205% torque amplification. The actual power provided depends on the rider's torque input. It can actually reach the peak power.
thank you a perfect explanation
Any news on the 2022 Levo alloy models and if they will have this technology built-in? Thanks
Nothing yet sorry mate

Wow 😯 I’m not sure let me try, and as for other upgrades I think we should see some stuff roll out early next year
why is the shuttle mode not visibel on my turbo vado 6.0 and 3.0 is it only for mtb

Which cardio belt should i buy for the kenevo SL?
I just have a cheap Amazon Bluetooth one like 25€

Cool tips again and again, thanks Sam !
Thanks mate this one was a really hard video to nail but I wanted to do it because so many people don’t use their turbo to the max!
Can i charge my phone on the turbo levo?
sounds like support and shuttle do the exact same thing?
Can you add more than 3 customized screens or are you limited to 3 like comes default from the factory?
Can I link my Apple Watch as a heart rate monitor ? Or does it have to be specific to specialized ?
Just give it ago try and pair it! Let me know thanks

I don’t but good question I’ll try and find out

I would say do 30-40 support and 100% peak power
I don't see where you showed us how to upload to Strava? New 2023 SL S Works Gen 2 bike :)

Take out the TCU from the Frame and reconnect the 2 Connectors properly. That might help!
