It is going the way of car stereos. Back in the 80s, if you got a new ride, you got out your Crutchfield catalog or went to Tokyo Shapiro and got a new stereo and speakers for your ride and installed it yourself. Today the stereo is an integral part of the car. Car seats now have sensors, some have airbags, heaters, etc. and fewer and fewer people will opt to swap out seats, for fear of losing the safety/comfort features of their car. They tried to get together with car companies, but most Americans want cushy seats, and not bolstered, firm seats. Big SUVs and pickups don't do racing seats very well, either. I hope they find a way to survive and focus on the niche market.
Nope, no more seats. Next STI is going to have the new soft brick battery technology. You'll be able to make your own racing seats by stacking batteries. They're going to be heating as well! I love technologies
Possibly leveraged buyouts which took on too much debt to buy these companies. Might not have anything to do with the product, market or sales. Investment companies often just extract wealth and kill companies. But I honestly don’t know about this case in particular.
@@johnmccombe6342 I think Bride is up there with Braum coming in second. I appreciate you asking. No one really knows this and I've been holding off making a video about it because I'm not sure how to go about doing it but I actually lost my job in June. I've been doing job hunting trying to figure out where to go but no real leads yet.
@HeavyMetalWRX dude, I'm so sorry to hear that 😞 I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you find something very soon. Wish we could get you to over a million followers so you could make awesome videos for us and not have to worry. Good luck buddy. If you need any info gathered from Colorado, let me know buddy. @@johnmccombe6342 I really appreciate that. I think it'll be okay I just have to keep looking. It may be time for me to move away from IT and into something into the car industry. When one door closes another opens and sometimes you just got to look to see what that door is.
@@HeavyMetalWRX I think that's a great attitude. I hope it doesn't really stress you out too much. That'd why it was a question. I asked you guys 😂, but the short story is they got bought out by a private firm and that, especially lately, has had a negative impact on car companies.
@@HeavyMetalWRX I feel you on that I agree with you, I’m talking about the Recaro brand as a whole. Unlike @Craiggg12345 I bought a pair, and tbh ain’t worth the money. @Craiggg12345 a little tip from the rich, don’t blow your savings on it buddy
BBS has also filed insolvency proceedings. The 2024 Miata Club trim has Recaro seats with BBS wheels...

Duuude I love. The crutch field magazine 😭

Theyre too costly when competition sells the same quality for way less.
Time for temu seats!
Bruh , just sit on a concrete block at that point 😂
Ebay prices double. "RARE" Recaro seats, etc...
I’ve been thinking about getting a Recaro desk chair. Now I’m not sure I want to send them money to have it sucked into a financial black hole.

sparco and buddy club are good options too
I need to look into them.
Glad to see you back with us. Hope you and the fam are well. Any other good car seat companies you know of?

Probably to get rid of taxes. It’s some weird way. Sell the brand, change name, file bk.
My purchase of a 2024 Limited was in large part due to the comfy seats...sorry Recaro.
SPARCO and BRIDES are better anyways!
Can you do a video how to change your headlight fluid?
When I get the new headlights, I will😂😂
@@HeavyMetalWRX 🤣
Love my actual Recaro SR7 seats. Not the Recaros in the VA or VB WRXs 😂😂
It's the top way people enjoy premium seatsm most people don't deal their seats out because of sensors and stuff.
BBS sport rim go to bankruptcy soon, so expensive.
Everything they make seems to be out of stock on Tire Rack. 🤷🏼♂️
Time for TikTok Shop racing seats
Up next brembo
Does Sparco still make seats? Bride is way overpriced for my tastes.
I believe sparco does.

Normal, small company to compare 🇨🇳 industry. China cheaper and nice. See byd seat that you know.
Good riddance, overpriced
You sound broke
@@Craiggg12345 No you sound broke
The benefit was we would get them as OEM options. It was less about buying them outright as replacements.
