Why do the media not see corruption but all the fans do. Its like politicians not listening to the publics concerns

Forest didn't lose respect from fans after their statement, fans supported them. It was the media including your pundits that supported the PL and had a go at them. I personally thought fair play. Also thought first shout- No pen. Second- seen them given so wouldn't be surprised if given. Third- pen all day. I'm an Everton fan.

The VAR don't mention his foot coming through the back of him, missing the ball. They don't really review it. That is incompetent.

As an old now ex referee who still reads the Laws year on year, I was appalled by Howard Webbs comments. In particular the two in which he referred to thresholds, and the one where he suggested that his was because the clubs stated they didn't want everything punishing. First there is nothing about thresholds in the Laws. A pull, or kick, or holding, or anything which through contact changes the balance or momentum of the player with the ball is just that, and under the laws as written constitutes a punishable offence. Both challenges from behind in the Everton game had contact, and should both have resulted in penalties. In the first Ashley Young raises his hands in apology knowing he's made contact, and in the second he tackles from behind. As for the handball, I would argue that the only natural movement of the arm when running is close to the body. When the arm is thrown out to make the body big when attempting to block it's deliberate. All three of those in midfield would have been given. Of that I am certain. For context the same match at the City Ground had a shirt pull in the box, and nothing was given (Threshold "there's not enough in it" was the excuse), and Everton win the game). A short while later in a Spurs game an all but identical shirt pull resulted in a penalty. What about the pull on the Shoulder in the Wolves Bournemouth game. Thresholds? BS.
So teams and clubs can decide those thresholds? The purpose of the referee is to behave as the independent arbiter of the match and ensure there is the fair and balanced application of the Laws to both teams (without thresholds). And VAR is there to ensure nothing in terms of contact etc is missed. Not as emotional and practical support for the on field whimsy of a poor official. Teams do not decide how a game is refereed, or what is the point of them being there. If the teams truly want thresholds, why are so many complaining?
It was said that the best referee is the one you don't see. The decisions are honest and fair, and no one complains. In this season the only thing we see is the referee. The VAR. It's becoming barely watchable.
Forest (and Wolves) it seems are going to be penalized and fined for being honest and right. I find it quite shocking in a free country that you cannot out the obvious injustices. How totalitarian of them. They may cost Forest millions in revenues with their lousy stance and excuses, having already contributed to Steve Cooper (and others) losing their jobs. I for one am ashamed of these self justifying idiots.
Stop talking thresholds, stop allowing the clubs to influence decisions, and do your damned job in creating fair play for all. As for everyone else. Be very very well.

Watching the game in real time, the commentators said they had reviewed it and the check was over. And I said to my mate, well they must be the best var officials in the world because it was literally 7 seconds after the incident they said that. It would take longer than 7 seconds to rewind the footage ffs how could they possibly have checked it that fast?
Those officials are either lazy, corrupt, or incompetent. Either way they should be sacked.

You can't have the mics constantly chatting, the VAR quite clearly stutters when extra voices come over the radio putting him off. They can't concentrate and have a coherent conversation. You have got to block out the extra noise.
The Ref still running breathing on the mic while still watching the game progress. He's not concentrating on what VAR is saying !!!!!

The problem is two fold. Firstly they remove responsibility from the officials on the pitch when it come to game changing decisions, so all that happens is they don’t bother making decisions, and then get away with it based on the fact the VAR will over rule if it’s a clear and obvious error. The second and most important part of this is they changed the rules of football to suit VAR. It should have always been the other way around, and where tight decisions like a toe nail being offside, they apply a tolerance to that decision. A tolerance cries VAR, yes a tolerance, because they can’t tell exactly when the player has kicked the ball. The tolerance is +/- a ball diameter. The other thing is do away with this waste of time thing where the Lino lets the play go even though he can see the player is offside, only to stick it up a few moments later. It wastes time, so show Howard Webb a yellow card for time wasting. It’s not working and I was all for VAR, what I wasn’t for was the way they have designed it to destroy football. I always thought they would go the cricket route whee the captain would have two appeals per half. Get it wrong you lose it, get it right you keep it.

Get rid of VAR getting involved. Referee manages the game exactly as before. Each manager has three appeals a game to force the ref to review an incident on the screen. SIMPLE.

I actually get what Simon is saying about Salah. It’s not about stats…it’s more so about the eye test. It’s like Halaand, he’ll score 50 goals but people will still say “it’s not that good at football, he just scores” - I get it

    • @razaaahmad03
      @razaaahmad03 หลายเดือนก่อน

He clearly doesn't watch him, Salah's creativity is off the charts in the past couple of years. If we were talking about Salah in his first 3 years yes I agree, but now here's a creator aswell as goalscorer.
Prime example. = 21/22 season, golden boot winner and highest assister.
+This season, 12 goals and 9 assists in the league whilst he was injured for a month. Not to mention the amount of chances we've wasted, have a look at the big chances he's created.
+Being a forward is all about g/a, not everyone is Ronaldinho, I'd rather have someone who's actually efficient and contributes goals and assists than someone that's aesthetically pleasing and does loads of skills but every little end product like Saint Maximin and Adama Traore

Talk is cheap, what have they done to improve the VAR appears to be debatable. Webb is condescending in his comments and doesn't even address how someone who supported a club involved in relegation battle came to be the VAR in one of their key opponents match . There seems to be a real issue in how referees are appointed, and having a boss who just brushes things aside isn't helping
