Camino De Santiago - Ponferrada to Las Herreías

This video is the section of the Camino from Ponferrada to Las Herreías, over two days. Firstly, Ponferrada to Villafranca del Bierzo and then Las Herrerías I had been having some foot issues so had to have a shorter, second day to Las Herrerías, but I'm glad i did as it was on the best villages I stayed in. It meant for a longer walk the next day, as you will see in the next video.

A spectacular part of the Camino de Santiago. I've been visiting that area for over 60 years, as my mother was from a small village up in the mountains to the north west of Villafranca-del-Bierzo. When I walked my first Camino in 2018, the joy was immeasurable on entering El Bierzo region at El Acebo de San Miguel after the epic crossing over the mountains.

My experience of the Fenix was very different to yours. It included me telling Jesus ( owner) to "get tae fuck".
Long story.....turned out good in the end thanks to a couple of other helpers.
The next day I took the Dragonte route which was amazing and I intend to do so again in September.
I love Galicia except for their love of eating octopus.
