Was This Poltergeist Activity? Unexplained Incidents inside a Scottish Bothy - Halloween Special!
Hello everyone and welcome to another video.
In this trip, I meet up with fellow TH-camr @Adventure-Outdoors where we spend a few days in Scotland, or to be more precise, Dumfries and Galloway Forest.
Neither of us had ever stayed in a bothy and so after speaking for a few months, a window of opportunity presented itself and so I flew over from Spain to meet Ben and spend a few days hanging out.
Having driven from York, we parked the car and we took the couple of hours walk to White Laggan Bothy. Having checked the weather forecast, we were expecting up to 90mph gusts as storm Ashley would soon reach land and was heading directly towards us. Luckily for us, the forecast was a few hours out and although it was blustery, we managed to reach the bothy unscathed, dry and in good spirits.
What happened next is unexplainable. We will leave it to you to decide,

@@louiseanderson4625 hi! Thanks for watching and subscribing. I'll definitely back to the uplands one day. Beautiful!
While you was outside getting your water there was a lady watching u through the window were u was sat prior I’d say she was quiet small well rounded grey curly hair she looked in her sixties I don’t know who lived there as never been
What!? I can't see that. I'll check again. The history of the bothy is it used to be attached to a bigger house and the bothy is thought to be where the servants lived. Thanks for watching! www.mountainbothies.org.uk/bothies/southern-scotland/white-laggan/

The trick with paranormal experiences is to not feel fear. I know it’s easier said than done. I’ve had a few experiences myself. They were mostly not scary, but one of the houses I lived in had a series of scary visits from something. It came at me for six nights. The first night WAS terrifying. The other five I practiced braving up. On the last night it came at me I told it to piss off and leave me alone. I turned my back on it and went to sleep. Never happened again. Well, other things happened in the house but not scary things, just children giggling and running around upstairs, objects being moved from one place to another and doors being violently shaken. Mischieveous spirits seem to feed off fear, in my experience anyway.
Really difficult when staying in a bothy, pitch black and miles from nowhere 🤣 I'll try and remember for any future events 🙂👍
@ absolutely! I’d say WAY harder in a bothy, in the middle of nowhere 👍🏼 Not sure I could have dealt with that situation in the same way. Impressive that you guys managed to keep put until morning.
Murhahaha Murhahaha Spooky 😅
I hope a werewolf isant about there some in cannock chase 😮
Waw lovely Scotland ❤😊
It really is!
Rubbish!!
We don't expect anyone to believe it, being sceptics ourselves. I wouldn't believe this video either if it was made by someone else! It's natural to be sceptic.
Why did you not mention what ben witnessed the night before with "apparently " a chair being dragged 😅... deceitful pair !!
Huh? The chair moving was the same night, literally 10 or 15 minutes after the door slamming. I wasn't filming when the chair was moving, hence why it's not in my video.
They are not being deceitful I have seen the footage on an Americans channel.

Hi. Thanks! ❤️
My husband and i took our children and dogs to whitelaggen a couple of times and it was one of my favourite ones to visit. I cant wait to go back! The one that gave me the creeps was kettleton byre bothy.
@@fionahowie999 it's a beautiful bothy and very accessible. We hope to go back one day and make peace with the place.
@whatsnottohike it is a lovely bothy. Our son who is 10 has the bothy bible book and is currently working his way through it rating them as he visits each one.
@@fionahowie999 That's brilliant! I'm definitely visiting more. I'm even hoping to spend xmas day in one this year, to get away from it all :-)
Lol entertaining guys but totally fake, I use that bothy often & it's ghost free lol but very funny 😂
I wish it was fake! But we knew most people would think it's fake as it's a lot to believe tbh, so fair enough but thanks for watching, appreciate it :-)
@@whatsnottohike I've watched both versions, and your reactions seem pretty legit. You didn't have a clue what to do with yourself, looked totally unscripted.
@v8cool231 mate, if i could act that well id move to Hollywood! 🙂 After the chair incident, i only went back in that room to pick up some things and slept in the main sleeping room, which was incident free. But it's ok even if you are sceptic, i would be! We're both laughing about it since we came back but at the time, frightening. If it wasn't blowing 60/70mph outside, I'd have cowboy camped with just my sleeping pad and bag.

The only allegedly haunted Scottish bothy I've stayed at is Lamberton Bothy which is just north of the English border on the south east coast of Scotland. It's a ruin but it's walls act as a windbreak.I never saw any specters there.
Ah yes, I've heard of that place. I'm trying to stay away from anywhere haunted from now on :-) Thanks for watching.
Why did Adventure Outdoors delete his video?! This was probably one of the best documented cases out there. Until he deleted his corroborating video anyway .
@@UKVeteran2024 he hasn't deleted his.
@whatsnottohike it says video unavailable, maybe it's my browser? It's such an amazing video. I've seen millions and they're mainly just rubbish. Would you honestly ever go back there? 2nd question, how much money would it take to spend a night alone there?! 😂
@UKVeteran2024 i just checked from another browser and its definitely working. Not sure I would go back, i was crapping it to be honest, especially the chair moving and i couldn't wait to sleep in the other room, which felt ok. Alone? That would take a LOT of money! 🤣🤣🤣
@@whatsnottohike it truly is an amazing set of videos. Id get in touch with Nukes TH-cam channel on here, and make some money from it. It's bloody disturbing! I would 100% not even sleep outside it for a £million! Honestly, I'll stick to a less stressful life 😁
@@whatsnottohikeI stayed in a Tudor house that was a holiday let for 2 nights. The living room door moved by itself and the next night I stayed downstairs nearly pooped myself.😅
22:32 like at the church I am the minister at. The first minister died in the pulpit and is a blue and yellow ghost. He still assists. At any rate my one direct encounter left me not afraid. I am afraid of everything btw🤣. There are many many dimensions we are only aware of three. 🇨🇦
Just subscribed after coming over from Ben's channel, just found actually after watching Ruth Aisling's video of her stay on her own there, she had knocking on the main door middle of the night a few times! just to check, you guys aren't just messing around are you with the door and chair?
@@UnexpectedJourney59Eng Hi, thanks for stopping by. I can assure you, this is not us messing around. I know people say it's the wind but ask anyone who has stayed there, the wind can not get in that room. It was 40/50mph gusts outside but in that house you could hardly hear it never mind feel it. This is genuine.
@@whatsnottohike Spooky stuff mate! if you go to Ruth Aislings' stay there, some of the posts below the video mentioned bergens being emptied during the night and the clothes all folded neatly on the table!

7:38 beautiful view. This place is just open? Honour method? You have more honour than we would I fear
This place has been open for a long time. Originally built in around 1845 not sure when the extra bit was built. Was lovely to look out from, although given the weather, not much wildlife around. Thanks for watching :-)
🇨🇦our weather is the same oddly. Halloween 2024. 70 degrees Celsius. 26 to 40 mph wind gusts. Feels like the prelude to storm. Thank you for sharing Ontario. 6:22
Yeah it was extremely mild, especially for Scotland. Even when the storm arrived, it wasn't cold. Thanks for watching :-)
That hide section with that view would have been even better with a pair of binoculars, lovely landscape guys, that bothy looks quite old so no surprise its got a bit of history 😊
@@deblou7 hi. Thanks for watching! Yes some binoculars would have been great but in all honesty the weather got so bad, there was no animals around. The bothy originally had a house next to it and the bothy is now the only bit remaining. It is thought it's where the servants stayed. It was built around 1845. Thanks again.
@whatsnottohike 1845 wow that has seen some folk come and go over the years, in the old times the local folk would traverse these lands after drinking at local watering holes, you can imagine a few getting into trouble if the weather was exceptionally bad and they had a belly full of whisky! I'll s'app ya in a few days with some lightly pencilled in plans but it will all be weather permitting. Looking forward to it! ATB mate :-)
You've made an impressive job on color grading, hats off for you! If I'd change something, it would be how you positioned the title and subtitle at the beginning and would soften a bit the increase and decrease of the video clips speed (and zoom in) with a S-curve shape at Da Vinci Fusion spline. I'd put the subtitle at the left position, right below the Title, and would move both to the middle third of the screen (when using the rule of thirds grid). But note that's only personal preference and I reaffirm your grading is super-B, really cinematic as well as your music choice. Perfect combo 👏👏👏
