Ruthless Red this is true, there will never be peace on this earth and it’s inevitable there will be one world government controlled by the anti christ, the final chapter has already been written. but we are supposed to love not because it will bring peace on earth but because it will bring people to Christ, so that they can have peace for all of eternity after they leave this world. As Christians we are supposed the be like lighthouses for the love of Christ to shine through. This is why I don’t preach to people, but I let it be known that I am a believer in Christ and I let my actions and the way I treat people do the preaching, I believe the best way for the average person like me to bring people to Christ is to lead by example, lead by example in your work place, in your school, in your home, people don’t need to be told about god, nowadays everyone at least in America knows about god, but they need someone to show them what it means to be a Christian. a lot of people go to church and call themselves Christians but they live like the world, they are still full of hate, which is the opposite of Jesus, if all Christians would treat everyone the way Jesus treated people, like we are supposed to then most of the world would be saved.

I go to the school with the girl who did sign language. Very good friend. For our college's talent show this year she did sign language with this song playing in the background while a slideshow played showing pictures of hurricane relief and people standing together after the Vegas shooting (the video is actually up on TH-cam just look up VCSU talent show and you'll find it). Me and a couple other people who were competing with her in the talent show were so moved we were going to give her the prize if one of us won, but didn't have to because she did. Couple weeks later, the video went on TH-cam and Mandisa invited her to fly down from Valley City North Dakota to Nashville to do this video and here we all are now. Sarah always wanted to make a difference...I'd say her wish has been granted

You cuz you're sad I don't want you to be sad I'm a 56-year-old woman I don't know how old you are but I know what it's and I'm white and I know what it's like to be judged by the color of my skin and hatred I was in something an apartment complex called a hood and a ghetto and I didn't know what that meant and so I ask and as time went on three and a half years you know at first people accept to me cuz I dressed kind of fancy and whatever clothes does not matter you are who you are from the inside out so anyways I did not date for 17 years nothing nobody and then eventually I met a beautiful black man it's now ended I won't go into detail but he was beautiful when he came into the room his the whole room and a dark place would always let up common denominator abuse so it wasn't healthy for either one of us but the people in the complex did not did not like me is a white woman dating a black man doesn't exterminate my sliding glass door some smeared on my front door it got very violent there I was forced out then I went to go live at a hotel right now I'm in a hospital getting ready to go to another hospital and then I'll be out on my own again My heart breaks for you and I want you to be sad let's not be sad I just had the diagnosis of cancer kidney stones covered and they said there was no hope yesterday morning I got a visit from my doctor and he said I seen the x-rays I seen all this stuff it was all true but I did the test over the weekend and they're absolutely nothing dared it says you even had any of this any of this that is God I don't understand him he never gives up on me and I don't even know why I don't get him I love him but he the doctor said I don't understand this there's no reason why and I said well I know I understand why it's God he intervened once again but please my name is Shirley McCutchen like I said I'm 56 my children 82nd and airborne son Marine good police officer now FBI don't get to see him or talk to him cuz he does what he does anyways God bless you I'll be praying for you God always knows the ones that we're praying for hope you have a blessed day hope to hear from you soon bye

WOW. Just wow. I think that everyone should listen to this incredible song and pay attention to the message it conveys. It exposes without filters the suffering of people who are treated differently : black people, people who suffer from a handicap and others who endure daily discriminations and unfair treatments. Everyone should realise that "we all bleed the same" because even if we're physically different, we are exactly the same inside.
Such a beautiful song, and amazingly appropriate for what we are going thru right now. God made us all Equal!

I have loved this song since it was released. I've never looked at the color of a persons skin, but at the heart of the people and I really wish more people would open their eyes and see it's the heart that counts not the color of a person skin. God Bless You and the message your song brings to the world.
I totally agree.
Its not just the color of our skin we visually judge by. This song calls out our judgement of the "clothes" we wear, as in uniforms that represent our jobs or profession. To not stereotype a skin color is the same as to not stereotype a profession.
The profession of police was created out of necessity for the good of society, to protect the weak and uphold established laws. If you take away the profession as a whole, it then becomes necessary for every person to police their own while contending with each others' policing efforts.
Though the profession is imperfect, it's the people that make it what it is, either corrupt or ethical. Therefore do not judge the "clothes" but the actions of the person wearing it.
The message that the song is telling us is true and will forever live on! :)

After my stroke I was in a wheelchair and I would go to physical therapy and some days I would just work on a machine to get my arms and legs stronger. On those days I had Overcomer playing all the time. And then when I had cancer one of the songs I listened to a lot was Overcomer then too. I could’ve given up and quit, by the grace of God I’ve survived so much. And Overcomer helped me do it.
We are all the same nothing is different besides our skin color. I wish we could all live in a world where we can see past these differences. It makes me sad to see just because their skin color is different they are being treated horribly.

We are alive in this moment. We have to go through an awareness of mindfulness, as painful as it is to experience, the only true solution is to keep showing God's love and to put our brothers and sisters before ourselves.
Love Mandisa, I remember her telling Simon Cowell she forgave him for the negative things he said to her. He said "you humble me". That was a powerful example of forgiveness in action.

I've loved this song since the first time I've ever heard it. Today was the first time seeing the video...and I gotta say...I love it even more. And I love that that sign language was included in this video! And that not only were many races included, but different body differences and disabilities. YESSSSS. YESSSSSS. YESSSSSS. (As an advocate with a facial difference with an AA in sign language...I got excited. Ha.)
Keep in mind it's white people, red people, yellow people, brown people and every other creed, color, and race that's being shot. Let's not single it out to just one group. The kingdom of God is ONE big diverse family. Yes, speak out when a black person is wrongfully shot, but if we're NOT carrying that same righteous indignation for everyone.........That's not how we Christians roll. Most people are tired of identity politics. Yet there is ONE THING we can all identify with and that's our HUMANITY. Let's be humane and kind to one to another from here on out. I could care less about someone's creed, color, or race. So stupid. I though prejudice was a thing of the past (a few group but not most people). My friend was trying to get her Medicaid card and she kept calling over and over for SIX MONTHS! I decided to call with my white voice. She got her card a week later. I couldn't believe it. I cried.

I am a Jew living in Brooklyn. Recently we've had so so much hate in our city. Not just toward us, but to everyone! Even hatred within ourselves toward eachother! And all I can really think is, Why? Why is this happening. Throughout history there's always been hatred but why does it still feel so wrong?! Why does my heart break every time an innocent life is taken away in the name of hatred? We all bleed the same. Every time someone is shot, they bleed. Even if that person is of a different race, a different religion, different culture, different, belief, or different sexuality.
Why is it only when we bleed do we see that we are Human?
