I set a rod for my own back when I first started TH-cam to try and keep everything in one take. It's a lot to remember, however, it's way easier to edit 😆 Thanks for watching buddy
Thank you very much. I bought recently a GW M5610U and I have a skin reaction to the strap (Maybe it was only to tide and not lose enough, I don't know). But you've showed my a nice solution. I found similar adapters to Jays and Kays. The only difference is: They are also resin like the watch. So it will fit well to the watch. The downside is: I have to wait about two weeks for it. I ordered also a few different straps. The reason why I like those narrow adapters so much is: they don't take away so much from the strap like the bulky alternative you see in other clips on YT for the Nato Straps.
Great to hear the content helped. It's great when a solution like this works when traditionally its been hard to find 3rd party straps for these watches. Thanks for watching
In total agreement with your comments with regard to the excellent 5610 Gshock... I have the same adapters and strap as the originals just had to be replaced...The 5610 is probably my favourite and most used of my watches ..it is an absolute bargain...
Great video I bought g shock g 5600ue model in Amazon India I find the watch starp is very hard and uncomfortable nto wear is it normal in g shock. Am also wordering whether I have received a fake product.. Also how to find original g shock... yourur thoughts is appreciated. thanks
Sir , i just purchased the g shock GM2100 midnight fog and is my first g shock ever , can you tell me from your experience about how many years would the strap of the watch last provided I'm a normal wearer and dont do anything extreme while wearing one , i hope to get a reply , thank you.
Thanks so much for this video! I have had a GW-M5610 for nearly 8 years but have only now realised that I can change the strap. But I can only see Jay & Kay adaptors that are sent from the USA from their eBay shop. Dumb question: are there any UK suppliers of J & K adaptors? Thanks. D
Just after making this j&k stopped posting to the UK which is a massive shame. I think if you message them through social media they might be doing single orders
Hi Bill. Sorry for taking my time to get back to you. I'd highly recommend checking out the tougher Timex watches. They have a great balance on value for money and toughness, plus their indiglo back lights are amazing. I have one on my 'future content' list. They do a line called their North Expedition models. They're stainless steal, solar powered, have that really nice indiglo back light, plus have sapphire crystal glass for extra durability. I'd always recommend the GA-2000 too. It's still a GShock with cool features but it's very paired back. It's easy to forget they have the features as it's a nice analogue time piece. I love mine... mainly because all I do is tell the time and use the light every now and again
@@ViolentTacticsNP Update: I got a mail forwarder (Portland Oregon) which then sends to New Zealand. I now have these lug adapters on my G Shock with a comfortable two piece strap called "Zuludiver Seasalter"!. If you're still interested navp, then maybe you could get a US mail forwarder too.
I don't think so no, they sell the adapters specifically for the model number. From what I understand they're very similar, however, they're a millimetre or so out for each and won't inter-change
Not 100% sure. Usually you need an adapter. Most Casio's have a small lug width. Sometimes between 14 to 18mm. The only true way would be to find an 14 to 18mm Nato band however they're very hard to come by. Most are made from either 20 or 22mm webbing
I will NEVER buy another G-shock again. Ive been working on watches for YEARS and there is nothing I cant do, mechanical or quartz...except get the frikin strap on GD 100!!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kudos for getting all that done on cam, couldn't have been easy. No edits, real time real content - respect.
Plus them Archer bands look 💪🏾⚠️

Good video, you explained and showed the process quite well.
Glad it was helpful!
Well done.👍
Being a "watch nut" myself, having nearly 2 dozen about, straps are the easiest way to customize. ⌚
100% agree. Plus unlike my fumbling around, it's pretty fast and easy 🤣
Great Video mate 👍 I bought the strap of the GW-5000 for my GW-M5610 which is way nicer than it’s original strap - can highly recommend
Good tip! Thanks Jan, I'll check that out
What would you say is the main benefit of the GW-5000 strap? I am considering if it’s worth it for my GW-M5610U.

@@MoorlanderEDC Came across this today. J+K appear to still post to the UK according to their Ebay?
Nice job Sir. I was wondering if you have a basic watch you would recommend? I wear a g shock now and the only feature I use is the back light.
Basic like completely not like a GShock? More of a traditional time piece? Still need to be rugged or more of an everyday watch?
@@MoorlanderEDC I not particular on brand just needs to be tough water resistant and have a light.

Says on ebay they don't have any items available in the UK?
Love the look on your 2100
Unfortunately just found out they have stopped postage to the UK during the postal strikes. They'll start again soon
Damn, no items available in New Zealand either.

How does one replace that original strap with a Nato strap without any adapters on a DW-291H model?

What strap on your 2100? Is that original g shock?
No, that's a 3rd party strap too. I used either Archer or Barton straps. They're reasonably inexpensive and great value for money - amzn.to/47jiRMt
@@MoorlanderEDC thanks for the answer 🙏
My g shock strap goes through a clip and under the watch and out the other side wrong video I guess lol
One thing I don't like about NATO's straps. They soak up liquids and sweat and take a long time to dry, making them smell bad.
100% agree. It's a shame they need to be regularly changed. They smell so bar after a while 😂

Hi Jared. Can you tell me more? What happened. I've had severaal of these both metal and polymer and they've gone on with ease.
