Most of the time boys delay for speech. girls r faster than boys . My son was late a bit , he said Mommy by age 3 but since he was age one and half we sing kids song together and he sing all the kids song I didn’t try to teach him Amharic coz I didn’t want to confuse him so to show kids video and sing together it help a lot.

እኔ ጥያቄ የፈጠረብኝ ነገር አለ.. የምልክት ቆንቆ ለኦቲዝም ልጆች ነው እንዴ? የኦቲዚም አለመናገር ብቻ አይደለም እኮ.. medical issues እንደሆነም አዲስ ግኝት አለ.. በቅርቡ ሄለን ሾ ላይ , የልጆን ኦቲዝም ችግር ከብዙ ሪሰርች በሆላ reverse ያደረገች እናት አይታችሆል ወይ? ብዙ information ታገኛላቹህ..

ልጆች በስንተኛው እድሜቸው ላይ ነው... መናገር ያለባቸው ወይም የ ኦትዝም ምልክት ነው ብለን መጠርጠር ወይም ማሰብ ያለብን.... እድሜ ማተር አያደርግም.?... ለምሳሌ 2 ዓመት ከ 1 ወር ናት.. ብዙ የ ኦትዝም ምልክት የሚባሉትን ግማሹን ትተገብራለች ግማሹን አትተገብርም.... እኔ እናት ስለሆንኩ ነው ስለሁሉም ነገር የሚያሳስበኝ እንጂ ከ እድሜዋ አንፃር ብዙ ጥሩ ነገር አላት... ከ ሌሎች ልጆች አንፃር ደግሞ ብዙ ወደ ሁላ የቀረችባቸው ነገሮች አሉ....

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m going through the same thing, my son is 3 and he is in pre school. Speech therapy once a week.. is your son in a regular school? The problem with my son is he is not consistent. He will learn words easily but he won’t say it or use it 😢

I think my girl have speech delay she have eye contact,respond to her name,play with other kids,ask #what is it?#,follow commands, ask what she want by one word or use third person like instade of i want drink water she say do you want water but my concerns is she has echolalia for example when I say what is your name and she repeat my question she is almost 3 am live in ethiopia through time am really worried every single time
Hi dear, they call echolalia, is one of the sign but there are typical kids as well who likes to do that, try to watch her close and be on top of her don't worried luv. worrying is not gonna help us stay strong and try to know her more if just in case if she is moving out, that way u can catch her quickly.
