    Holy shit, thanks for 1 million views! Never thought this video would explode like this…
    Being honest, I don't think there will be a second part. I just can't find the right style/algorithm, it ends up either too boring/disharmonic or too similar to this one.
    Adding more constraints (like applying a "box blur" on the number sequence) would solve these problems, but that also lessens the purity of the number-to-music-transformation and therefore contradicts the whole point of the video.

      Top 2 answears say that it "seems quite likely" and "π is not known to have this property, but it is expected to be true" and this Wikipedia article is about random numbers so it just prooves that you can't tell if your theory is true.

    • @berni2905
      @berni2905 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Well, that's not what infinity is. If we had a number that for example look like: 0,012345678900112233445566778899000111222... etc. it would "have" infinite amount of numbers but it wouldn't contain all the combinations. You can easily make other more complex examples. Sorry, but you don't seem to be very good in abstract thinking. And punctuation.

    ive had this video in a playlist with a single other video since middle school. i remember walking between classes playing it in my headphones, its cheery upbeat randomness being the main thing keeping me going throughout the day. its one of my fondest memories of school in general. recently i looked through the playlists i had, and stumbled across said playlist once more. im 18 now, ive been out of school for a year, and yet this song has once again become a go-to for a small burst of motivation and energy that is sorely needed after this whole pandemic and the rest of the chaos thats ensued. this is basically the only song with no lyrics that can cheer me up from the bad moods i didnt even know i had. even after all these years, im still here lurking and listening to this masterpiece. what compelled me to write this? i dont know. maybe the fact that its 6 am and i havent slept? point is, im glad this video is still up, its been very helpful surprisingly :}

    • @danielmoylan3033
      @danielmoylan3033 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Music is a natural manifestation in our heads, and math is our way of describing natural phenomena (along with science for a humanized understanding, but in reality it all basically boils down to math. science tells us how to apply the math, and a lot of math still yet is involved in figuring that out).
      Although with a pentatonic scale you can make NEARLY ANYTHING sound good.
      ANYTHING.
      SHOW ME SOMETHING THAT SOUNDS BAD WITH A PENTATONIC SCALE! I DARE YOU!
      And I also bet that you can't really do the same type of thing with really any other type of scale other than an arpeggio, which is cheating since its like a continued I chord.

      Rom From Russia ну, я могу поспорить, ведь музыка - это особое природное явление, и не только человек выражается в музыке, но и природа в целом. Правда, человек вправе сам для себя решать, чтó есть музыка именно для него. Иной человек не найдёт музыки в возгласах кукушки, а иной умудрится уловить музыкальные нотки даже в каркании вороны. Тут роль играет и то, в каком смысле, с какой стороны берётся понятие музыки, как человек понимает музыку, в широком смысле или узком.

    That's easy, the pentatonic scale always sounds well, btw the notes you play will sound good
    But this has a lot of work and you have my like :)

      @juliandelooff1503 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yes indeed. Some people say that math kills music here because it sounds nice, but the musical logic of the pentatonic scale is used, not the mathematical logic of pi
