Matt,
You are hereby officially the King of Overkill! Please do what you do and keep us smiling!

I feel like if a F5 tornado ever came through the house... That island will still be secured to the floor!
Floor of the house found 1/2 mile away with island still attached
Years from now after 2100, people will be going thru town on the adjacent monorail freeway that had to become big and waving at the historic Cremona House & the conductor will be saying to the kids - that is where that old man Matt Cremona spent his last 50 years sanding, fitting, matching and finishing every single thing on that property, every single inch. It is a true story because he recorded all of it and it is still available at some historic web sites from the old formats they once used. Can you imagine doing that amount of work. He used real wood from real trees and old non quantum tools. Not a single part was computer printed. We think he may have even been exposed to dust, aerosols, and solvents. No one does that kind of work any more, and of course we all know why. We don't really live that long and we cannot take it with us, and it is so nice to travel with the family if we can. And perhaps see what people are good at and decide what is best for us. They say he was a very happy person and never showed a bad side. That is why he was so popular.
Most legendary TH-cam comment of all time. Well done sir ❤
I cannot imagine how expensive that kitchen would have been if you were not so talented. I am impressed
WHAT, WHAT?!? Turkey Butt! Lol! Seriously, nice turkeys! And that island has to be one of my all-time favorites! The level of craftsmanship...scribing to the floor, etc., truly AMAZING! Well done Matt!
Thanks!
I thought this was the last island video. Guess I have more to watch after you upload.
Great job Matt. Once again Lyndsey came to your rescue.
and so did the little puppy
A mazinnggg. I just wish I had your talent Matt. I love woodwork and I could watch you doing it all day long !
and now add a reinforced 4000 psi concrete countertop, reinforced with 3/4" rebar, to complete the fall out shelter.
The island is the stoutest one I've seen! Beautiful sure, but man oh man those turkey butts! Nice work.
The island finish is a happy medium between the painted cabinets and the flooring. Lovely contrast.❤ Awesome job.❤
Matthew, that is a crazy solid and cool island. Thanks for giving me ideas on what I can do to make my own when the time comes as I rebuild my old Japanese house. Scott from Japan
I'm glad I'm not the only one who trips over stuff I just had my hands on 2 seconds earlier. lol Lookin' great!
Matt you could park a Sherman tank on the island!!
This has become a $ 1 mill kitchen/sunroom in a $ 1 mill house ... happy YT.
As usual Matt, your attention to detail is over the top. Yet, you are human and put that panel in backwards. Hilarious! Thanks for showing that. I was wondering if you might duplicate the triangle pattern in another few locations? That did turnout great too. However, sometimes less is more. That did bring out the artist in you though. The wife aught to love that kitchen and probably can't wait for you to finish it up.
At one point he talked about a super matt finish. Yes it is, Matt, yes it is!
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I redid my kitchen and it was a bear.
Matt, good place to hide for tornado and hurricanes, cause that thing ain’t goning anywhere…haha!
Matt I always enjoy your videos. What I really appreciate about the way you build something is your willingness to do the projects without compromise. It is refreshing. I also watch the HoneyBaddger, and she has your same intensity !!!! Have a great week Matt. Timothy
Yeah the choice of oak over walnut way back at the start has come to the fore now. Kitchens need to be a harmony of light. Even the nicest walnut would detract with its cold brown hue. Great call. Man, drilling the holes for the mounting buttons made my stomach hurt.🙃
Been a journey for sure. I've enjoyed each step from the onset, and it's looking great.
Thanks!
Very impressive work Matt. Scribing the entire island base is a detail that no contractor would would undertake. Hats off to you! Great workmanship.
Thanks!
Lot of members in the Island... if one counted the time to gather, saw, dry, design, cut & mill, fit, assemble, finish, install well it's a passion project so practical is not a consideration. Island when completed will be bespoke!! Inspiring. Ray Stormont
I will only add that the level of your many skills always astound me. Beautifully work Matt.
Am I the only one getting tire of everything being "bespoke"? It's just plain custom!
Beautiful job. Your kitchen is going to be stunning.
Awesome job Matt! Looks beautiful!
35:27
Don't let the Kids see you do that !!
They'll be making their Mom unhappy for a decade.
LOL
I hope you enjoyed it, I did.
😂
Unreal quality I appreciate your sharing your work/ life.
Beautiful, you are quite meticulous in your woodcrafting !!!
Looks sensational Matt your attention to detail is off the charts.
I love the “oh shit” moments! 😂😂😂
😮 I’ve heard of Easter eggs, but (turkey butt) asster eggs?! Sweet fancy Moses, man!
"LOOK AT ME GO!"
Great to see top quality handtools being used by a skilled craftsman, Matt, the island looks amazing.
How did you get to be this good at all that you do, Roofing, building a sawmill etc.?
Top level skills you have, your work is like fine art.
Waxed your jeans Matt? 😂 That was quite the workout getting the island installed. The color and grain is just stunning- good call on the lighter stain and matte finish.
Matt; Only you could be that exacting. Excellent choice.
Beautiful, can’t wait to see the countertops. Have a great weekend Matt!!🍻😎
Absolutely well done Matt, looking forward to seeing the counter tops, thanks for sharing.
No woodworker could have done that better. 5/5❤
Good Morning Cremona family.
One question... why weren't I subscribed before today?? Good job mate!
@9:12 Should be a warning to watch where you put your hands had that been a recluse or a widow you would have been in trouble lol
That’s one solid island. Amazing work Matt. 👍🏻😉
Matt, you never fail to impress me with your skills . Is your darlin wife loving the looks of these cabinets
Wow MATT , it is going to be so Beautiful !! What is next , after the kitchen ? You do such beautiful work !! I LOVE YOU ALL !! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Things are getting along pretty darn good, as always "nice job Matthew"!
Matt, it would be great if you could capture some of your interaction with countertop fabricators. You could answer questions like: How did you choose the material? What options exist in choosing and designing counter tops? Do you have any lessons learned or advice about countertop selection? What are your thoughts on the road not traveled?
I love it when a plan comes together! It's kinda sorta looking like a kitchen! You should cook Lyndsey an omelet for Mother's Day.
I am so happy that you have a life partner who understands how you work and is willing to delay the completion of the kitchen/sunroom/whatever until you have satisfied your desire for it to be done "right". Keep it up!
That is one solid island. Good job!
Beautiful piece of art. ❤
This is one slick install!
Excellent getting the island together and situated too👏👏👏 also well done Lindsay with the assist 👌.... certainly is a slick floor Matt 😂😂😂
Matt got the munchies! (I saw that chips bag, LOL) Man oh man does that look nice or what!? Awesome job, as always! Hello from Texas
Great work, Matthew 👏 👍
I enjoy your videos
I was wondering how rich you would have to be to afford the planning, precision, and attention to every small detail to have a kitchen like you are creating. Wow
I have learned many things.
Now I understand - that last little slide is how you get your Matt finish.
Hey Matt, just a question What brand of Chisel did you use ? it was solid.
Yep been watching from Australia for years now but don't think I have ask a question lol Just enjoy your work and admire Lindsay for her patience during the renovations.
Beautiful. It is coming alone very well.
As always, you are doing a great job,.
No other words, this is amazing
You are meticulous. So beautiful! ❤❤❤❤❤
What a knock out kitchen
The island looks amazing Matt, the kitchen is really starting to look like a kitchen! 😃👍🏼👊🏼
Matt, I am just amazed at your skills and vision. You’re project is awesome.
Wow. When it's installed, it really apparent how big that island is. Great job on the finish and install.
Super Fantastic what can I say WOW.
This is a great series. That island would hold a truck for sure.
As usual, you made my day. I've been hooked since watching you weld your red trailer.
Just beautiful !!!
Lindsay Cremona, ESQ, Woodworker.
Came out real nice Matt. 👍
That is a slick floor 35:25 :)
The island looks fantastic. I'm so happy it worked out for you.
Hi Matt!
BEAUTIFUL MATTHEW
Beautiful job! Thanks for sharing!
amazing island so much work in it love it
What a great job on the Island. What counter tops are you going to use?
What would that Island have cost as a custom build by a cabinet shop?
Quartzite. Not sure; didn’t have a shop bid it
@@mcremona Thank you. I would think the cost would be out of sight if you could find a shop that could do that quality of work.
Awesome skills and education for us. On the finishing, what grit did you sand to?
Awsome job, 🎉 Obra maestra
Beautiful as usual. What a beautiful home you are creating.
Looks great
What will the 2024 4th of July Grand Finale Kitchen Concert and Cremona Fest 24 be? I am sure 100% sure if you set up a Ticketron event and started selling tickets and had not a micro Woodstock: "Slabstock: You could easily get >3000 to come or more keep it below 6000- $200 per and get a supportive charity and big Headliner (no seats, a la plein air, just vendors and Porta Pottys we did/still happens a 3 day now >20 yrs can be organized portable stages 40x60 Generators sometimes And this is still small time. Or just a Craft Faire. The choices.
Looks amazing.. but I have to ask... 31:32 what went scurrying away!?! bottom left from the movers blanket down...
That would be a nice thing.
Donovan would say you did more gooder! 👍
